Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings - Week 8 Last week sure did muddy the waters with upsets across the entire slate, but one thing remains crystal clear: Alabama looks unstoppable. I have a theory on how to attack Alabama, but we’ll save that for another time. By my count, we had seven upsets and two almost upsets last week with a few of those having major playoff implications. This week isn't shaping up to be nearly as exciting with only Oklahoma and Clemson finding themselves in dangerous matchups. The Sooners need to remain perfect and settle matters in the Conference Championship game. Clemson has an easier road with all their difficult games being played at home with this week against NC State possibly their toughest challenge. Now let's get to the picks. Quarterback Trace McSorley -Penn State DK 8900 Opponent Indiana Team Total - 37.5 The past few weeks have been heartbreaking as a Nittany Lions fan, but that’s why we don't mix business with pleasure and I present to you Trace McSorley as your top business decision of the day. Some people will surely play Kyler Murray in this price range, and I get it, but I prefer to pair McSorley with Sanders for cash games. Penn State has a slightly higher implied total compared to Oklahoma and the savings will pay dividends further down your roster. Indiana is better than their record and will be waiting for a down Penn State squad who has lost their last two contests. That said, Indiana doesn't have the defense to keep McSorley & Co. off the scoreboard so it should be business as usual for the offense. Against mediocre competition, such as Indiana, Penn State’s offense has absolutely poured it on opposing defenses averaging over 55 points per game. The total of 61 feels low to me and I think the Nittany Lions get back on track offensively. McSorley is the focal point of the offense and I can see this game turning into a mild shootout with Penn State pulling away late. In Trace we trust. Shea Patterson -Michigan DK 6200 Opponent Michigan State Team Total - 24 There are a few guys at this price point we can choose from, such as Peyton Ramsey or Jake Browning, but I like the matchup for Patterson over the others. Michigan does two things extremely well; run the ball and stop the run. Michigan State does one thing extremely well; stop the run. With this game being played in East Lansing the front seven for the Spartans may have a little extra juice in their step and finding running room could prove difficult. Higdon performed well...

START YOUR FREE TRIAL Quarterback Khalil Tate Arizona DK 10,400 Opponent - Hawaii Let's jump right into things with my top QB play and arguably top play on the slate. Tate failed to deliver the goods last week against a stingy BYU front and I really hope people are scared off from last week’s dud because this is the same dude that ran for over 1400 yards last year. Last week he ran for 14. Houston’s defense looked very suspect against an inferior Rice team. Now it’s hard to say if they were just asleep at the wheel, but Vegas doesn’t think so by tabbing this game with a total of 71. Both teams run a fast-paced offense with plenty of talent at the skilled positions. If things are clicking this game could easily push the total by the 3rd quarter. Like last week, I prefer spending at QB opposed to other positions and Tate is a great place to dump salary. He is the center of the Arizona offense and I wouldn’t let last week be a concern. Tate is the quintessential cash play QB with his dual-threat ability, but there is plenty of upside to roster him across all formats. Dwayne Haskins Ohio State DK 10,800 Opponent - Rutgers I do think more people will play Haskins and I will certainly have my own exposure, but it's all for good reason. He’s not quite the runner like Tate, but he plays on a much better team with a much better offense. The Buckeyes dropped an eye-popping 77pts last week. That’s double 7s people! You could also say that's 11 touchdowns, of which Haskins threw 5. Ohio State has talent for days and is likely to drop 50+ again this Saturday. That total could creep up if the holes in OSU’s defense we saw last week don’t get fixed. Oregon State gashed them on the ground for 200+ yards and the Buckeyes allowed long touchdowns of 49, 78, and 80 yds. Regardless if OSU fixes their defense I fully expect their offense to score plenty making Haskins one of the safer players on the board. Sidenote: Urban Meyer has been coaching...
