Here's what James wrote about this matchup the other day, and given that Draymond Green wasn't suspended, it still holds true. Golden State Warriors at Oklahoma City Thunder Analysis The hay-makers in this series, my god. Westbrook and Durant responded to a game 2 drubbing by pitching simultaneous perfect games. 20-34 from the field, and 21-23 from the line. I'm still speechless. Is it possible that the Thunder had the highest ceiling of any team all along, because they have two guys that can put up games like this, and not just one? Now, as you can probably guess by now, this actually doesn't change our projections a whole heck of a lot. Minutes go haywire in blowouts, and the guys we figured would be good on a per-minute basis pretty much were. As for the worry about future blowouts, I suspect things will regulate somewhat and we'll get a high-speed thriller instead of a lopsided blowout. I don't blame you if you just want to grab as many pieces from this game as you can, since they're still pretty reasonably priced. Top Plays Stephen Curry - FD 9900 DK 10700 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 52.41 DK Proj. Pts - 56.83 Curry's final line looked generally crappy in game 3, but on a per-minute basis it wasn't a whole lot worse than what he'd been doing earlier in the series. If you think he's going to go 2 days listening to hot takes about how he might be the third best player in this series! then you're sorely mistaken. He's still very reasonably priced and should be a favorite to put up 5x+ points per dollar in this game. Klay Thompson - FD 7400 DK 7900 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 37.31 DK Proj. Pts - 41.42 The minutes are headed in the wrong direction here, but I think we saw what Golden State wants to do with Klay in game 1. 40+...

This is the same information that James wrote up yesterday as it still applies since Game 1 is tonight Toronto Raptors at the Cleveland Cavaliers Analysis Could these two teams be coming into this game with more different post-season experiences thus far? The Raptors have played fully 6 more games than the Cavaliers over the same stretch of time, and are missing their starting center. They've been in back to back rock fights, reserving really any good play until game 7 of the Heat series, when their guards finally went off. So am I crazy for saying I don't hate Toronto's chances to at least keep it close in these games? The Cavs are relatively weak when it comes to back-court defense, and the Raptors went out and got Demarre Carroll specifically for match-ups like LeBron. The Raptors shouldn't need to rely on Valanciunas' low post scoring here, and Biyombo is actually a welcome defensive presence down low for them here. Top Plays LeBron James - FD 9800 DK 10800 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 53.41 DK Proj. Pts - 55.54 LeBron nearly averaged a triple double in the last two games of the Hawks series, and while the Raptors play quite a bit more slowly than the Hawks, the Hawks make up for some of their fast play by having the 2nd highest defensive efficiency in the league. When healthy, Carroll is a tougher defender than anyone who guarded LeBron on the Hawks, but he isn't. I don't know that LeBron has huge upside here, but he seems awfully safe. Kyrie Irving - FD 7100 DK 8200 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 38.54 DK Proj. Pts - 40.66 Kevin Love - FD 7500 DK 8400 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 36.35 DK Proj. Pts - 38.79 The other two Cleveland stars are simply underpriced, here. The Raptors were the toughest match-up in the league for opposing point guards this season, but...

We've got you completely covered. We've also launched a Stats and Research Page, which includes a lot of the individual statistics that we use to make our projections. It's free! Enjoy.   Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs Analysis Ok, the Thunder can't actually win this series, right? Or can they? I like many thought it more of a formality than a prediction that the Spurs would win this series, but that was before Oklahoma City seemed to find the recipe for hanging with San Antonio. Now I don't think you can bank on KD outscoring the entire Spurs team in the 4th, or Westbrook notching more assists than the entire Spurs team combined (something I'm sure Popovich was just giddy about), but the momentum in this series has definitely shifted in the Thunder's favor. I do expect San Antonio to play better tonight at home, but this game could really go either way. Top Plays Russell Westbrook - FD 11100 DK 11100 Opponent - SAS FD Proj. Pts - 54.71 DK Proj. Pts - 56.59 Kevin Durant - FD 10100 DK 9500 Opponent - SAS FD Proj. Pts - 43.92 DK Proj. Pts - 46.54 Steven Adams - FD 5200 DK 6100 Opponent - SAS FD Proj. Pts - 26.68 DK Proj. Pts - 27.16 For the Thunder we have the usual suspects, plus the surprise appearance of one Steven Adams, who has really been a nice surprise for fantasy owners willing to roster him in this series. Adams has seen 36+ minutes in each of his last 3 games, and it seems that he has pushed far ahead of Kanter and Ibaka in Billy Donovan's rotation. Not to mention the fact that Tim Duncan decided to retire early and not tell anyone, Adams is now frequently covered by either West or Diaw, both of whom he has a sizable height advantage over. I won't spend much time on Russ and KD because unless you're completely new to this whole NBA thing you know what these guys are capable of. Although he's more...

Now let’s look at some news that’s come in throughout the day to see if anything’s changed in our minds or in the NBA landscape. And a quick note: I'm posting this a little early today, but will update a bit later with news coming in. What We Know Jimmy Butler is Out This one makes things easy on some of the value plays for today. Derrick Rose takes a huge usage bump (historically and this season) when Butler is off the court. The last couple of games back this up with Rose returning to some of that MVP form on offense. He’s averaged a 24/9 and looked like the guy we’ve been waiting for. Meanwhile. E’twaun Moore had been a guy with a steady uptick in minutes this season, taking over both back up point guard and shooting guard at times. He’s logged heavy minutes without Buckets on the court and that should be the case again tonight. Neither Rose or Moore’s price has climbed to reflect their new-ish opportunity and both are cash game plays easy. Kevin Love is Probable Getting labeled probably this early in the day translates (to me at least) as a lock to play tonight. This news has a double effect in that it ticks down Kyrie and Lebron's potential usage while also increasing the likelihood the Cavs blowout the Kings. Update: Kevin Love is playing.  Tyreke is Still Out This has a fantasy impact in tournaments only for me. Cole and Holiday's value's been outstripped by a double hammer of variable minutes thanks to Gentry's "rotation" ideas and the sites catching up some in pricing. But as off board plays I don't mind taking a chance (more on Cole than Jrue) if you think the Pels can keep it close and you want to stack this game some. Ish is Starting But... He's on a minutes restriction. This makes the...

Now let’s look at some news that’s come in throughout the day to see if anything’s changed in our minds or in the NBA landscape. What We Know Ian Mahinmi is IN. Adios, Jordan Hill. Myles Turner slightly downgraded. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is out. Give me all the Stanley Johnson Wrote about this is in the main picks article, but it's worth reiterating here. Johnson will probably be the most widely-owned player on the slate. It makes sense. There's good reason to believe SVG will run him major minutes in this one. Plus he was a huge start last game when he subbed for KCP and dude went parabolic. I'm guessing ownership on FD to be 80%+ at least. I've been wrong about these things before (as James will attest) but he isn't worth the fade. Trey Burke is out. Bumps for Hood and Neto We have a decent historical reference for what happens when Burke doesn't play and that came last game. He left after only three minutes because of the flu and he didn't travel with the team to Utah. Hood played 41 minutes last game and Neto played 33. That pieces together just about the 20 minutes per Burke was playing. The minutes' bump really helps both of these Jazz guys who are coming very cheap. I much prefer Hood at a shooting guard position I already planned on going cheap with. Even at a somewhat conservative 37 projected minutes he's coming into optimal lineups. If you think he plays more against a weak Phoenix team then he's becoming an "every lineup" guy. Tyreke Evans is Out. Jrue and Norris Dice Roll Time If you can figure Alvin Gentry's "process" out then let me know. I'd love to get inside that head to figure out what the hell is going on. There are times when I can't find rhyme or reason behind his rotations...
