Draftster has a ton of cool stuff going on including the a whole host of Freerolls   Quarterbacks Andrew Luck - I'm willing to spend here. There is value to be had on Draftster this week in some of the other areas so I don't think you are really forced into skimping at all on the quarterback. In what should be a really high-scoring, fun game to watch, Luck stands to pay value even as the highest priced QB on the board. Luck's floor is just so high considering how much the Colts are committed to the throw. Luck is responsible for something close to 66% of the Colts' total offense between his arm and his legs. He's super safe even at these prices considering the game's Vegas projections. Cam Newton - $7000 If you want to go a little cheaper consider Cam here at relatively cheap prices. He saved his day in garbage time against the Eagles, but the history books will say he was bad rather than just being a total and complete nightmare. The Falcons rank dead last in the NFL against the pass and really aren't exactly stout against the run. I know Cam has had his troubles this season. It's all on the table here. But if you are looking for a QB that could significantly outpace his salary then this is your guy. He has multiple TD upside and his ability with his legs really gives him a way to outstrip his tag. It's speculative of course, but the matchup is choice. Look,   Running Backs Mark Ingram - $6300 The case for Ingram is easy, he gets all of the carries out of...

Now go get that deposit bonus.   Touchdowns Andrew Luck Basically you are hoping for a monster shootout in Indy against the Pats. The thought process with Luck hitting the top end of touchdowns thrown is that he throws a ton of touchdowns. Like that expert opinion there? The Colts throw so, so much that Luck is just a favorite to hit at least three touchdowns in a game. They pass the ball around 60% of the time in the red zone and that alone means the Colts will get in the end zone at a higher clip through the air than on the ground. The over/under on this game is creeping towards sixty and there will be a lot of scoring. That should keep Luck throwing until the end. Matthew Stafford With so many great quarterbacks going this week I’m looking for a little separation. We can get that in Stafford. Compared to Rodgers, Manning, Brady and the aforementioned Luck, Stafford could become a second thought. But he has Megatron back on the field and that pairing hasn’t missed a beat. He found him on a long touchdown pass last week, and with the emergence of Golden Tate, Stafford has the weapons. The Cardinal pass defense among the worst in the league and Lions should get a lot done through the air. Stafford throwing 3-4 touchdowns in this one isn’t farfetched at all.   All-Purpose Yards Calvin Johnson It’s kind of weird putting a wide receiver here only because they are going to get their yards in only one way (and with limited opportunities) compared to a running back that can run and catch for his yards. But Johnson is a singular talent and this matchup is just so juicy. I don’t think anyone has a great chance to hit the top all-purpose yards category, but Calvin could make things interesting. Last week he caught seven...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks Week 9 – ScoreStreak

Daily Fantasy Football Picks Week 9 - ScoreStreak Looking for our picks for traditional salary cap leagues like FanDuel, Draftster, and Draftkings? Check out our week 9 picks article, or our week 8 podcast. DFSR has partnered with ScoreStreak: a new, innovative style of DFS play. Now go get that deposit bonus and enter to win a Tesla! This is an interesting week on ScoreStreak and for DFS football in general. With so many bigger names on byes, the chance of hitting a perfect week here are severely diminished. I'm actually, in a lot of cases, advocating a safer strategy of hitting the second and third tier with your top value plays and saving the top end for the home run types. This approach in ScoreStreak can work especially if your opponents choose players who are expected to do well, but not necessarily crush it.   Passing Touchdowns Andrew Luck No real surprise here. Luck is the top quarterback on the day and will be featured somewhere (I suspect) in every ScoreStreak league this week. I'm not inclined to fade him in this format on such a short slate simply because his volume, combined with the opponent means he stands to get his TDs in. The Giants are ranked 25th in the league in yds/game against the pass though they have run pretty well in allowing passing TDs. I much more inclined to use the former stat, especially considering Luck's usage in the red zone. He has thrown the most red zone passes in the NFL and it isn't particularly close. We want the opportunity to score and Luck provides that more than any other QB going. Peyton Manning No real surprise here. What's interesting is that while Luck has the most red zone passing attempts in the NFL, Manning has the most inside the five yard line. The Broncos are content to use their weapons when down close and Manning is able to read defenses so well that he's almost always putting his receivers in spots to succeed. Passing so much down close has its real benefits in the ScoreStreak format because we aren't as worried about...

How about the week 9 podcast instead?   Quarterbacks Andrew Luck - FD 10100 DK 10000 DD 17300 DFSTR After coming off a game with a rather ugly completion rate and 2 interceptions, you might be surprised to see Luck in the top spot. But the case for Luck? Simple volume. With Richardson banged up, the Colts only ran 7 plays that didn't go through Luck. 7! Granted, they were playing from behind, and that's not especially likely against the Giants -- but still. We're seeing that the Colts are happy to supplant a conventional running game for short passes to the resurgent Bradshaw, and if that continues, Luck will continue to be the safest QB in all of daily fantasy football. Colin Kaepernick -...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 8 – Draftster

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baseball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. We have our general picks for Week 7. This piece will examine some Draftster-specific value as this site tends to quickly adjust prices quickly and severely. This is great news for you as identifying players who are priced as punts is a money-making venture for you. Here we go.   Quarterbacks Joe Flacco - $6300 Our system loves the dollar value on Flacco in a week when separating strong quarterback play from the prices is relatively difficult. He isn’t necessarily a boom or bust guy, though he did boom in a big way last two weeks ago against the Bucs. That won’t happen often/ ever again, but he does offer fairly consistent production and this week faces off against a Bengal team allowing more than 270 yards per game through the air to opposing quarterbacks. The Bengals are struggling and though the Ravens have found some consistency in their run game (see below) I’m still buying Flacco priced well into the second tier. Ryan Tannehill - $7400 Very much falls into the same category for me as Flacco. He’s a guy who won’t necessarily hit the stratosphere in terms of his production, but his week-to-week consistency is just turning into a real thing. Averaging about 240 yards per week through the air along with just a hair under 2 TDs per contest, Tannehill faces a Jags team that shows no real interest in defending the pass. Or even pretending to. It’s sad. Jacksonville allows more the 270 yards per game passing and if you are looking for a quarterback to exceed his season average to date, this might just be the guy. Obviously consider Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers if you can save enough in other spots.  ...
