Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftStreet 4/13/14

We are deep into the NBA season and things are for sure getting weird out there in the DFS landscape. Tough to know who will have the minutes on a given night. Yesterday's picks were strong considering the flux at this point in the season. Now we have a full day of Sunday games, meaning setting early lineups will be extremely tough.

Point Guards

Mike Conley - FanDuel $7,200 DraftKings $7,300 DraftStreet $13,349
Conley and rest of the Grizzlies have two advantages today. One: they are playing the Lakers. Two: Memphis needs to win this game to keep in the playoff hunt. That is a recipe for success that you're going to want to latch on to. There's always the risk of the blowout of course, but on a crazy day you need to find some surer things. Conley represents that safety.

Russell Westbrook - FanDuel $9,100 DraftKings $8,800 DraftStreet $16,521 or
Reggie Jackson - FanDuel $5,900 DraftKings $4,900 DraftStreet $11,539
I think I'm willing to play whichever guy is starting today. Westbrook is going to sit one of the games of the back-to-back. The Pacers have been not-so-sneaky bad of late, especially against point guards. I don't know what's going on with Indiana, but it they aren't right. Look for the Thunder to exploit the dysfunction. I'm rolling either PG here on the upside.

Ray McCallum - FanDuel $5,900 DraftKings $6,300 DraftStreet $12,890
The best deal for McCallum is on FanDuel, but I'd still consider him everywhere because of his minutes. They are still in the forty range and you really aren't going to find that anywhere else. What is does with those minutes can be highly suspect, but they are there. And at this point in the season that is a real thing to target.

Stephen Curry - FanDuel $8,800 DraftKings $10,400 DraftStreet $18,917
While the Warriors have clinched a playoff spot, look for them to keep pushing for the sixth seed. (Though you never know if they are jockeying to play OKC rather than LA. God the NBA is crazy). Steph has a great matchup against the Blazers today who don't defend the point guard position well.

Shooting Guards

DeMar DeRozan - FanDuel $7,900 DraftKings $8,000 DraftStreet $14,788
DeMar is still logging heavy minutes with Toronto, I suppose, looking to snag the three seed in the East. Today he'll get the zombie Pistons who below average against the SG and SF position. I'm going with the safety in numbers for Derozan as I think he sees a full run again today.

Courtney Lee - FanDuel $3,900 DraftKings $4,700 DraftStreet $6,865
Was getting minutes before Memphis crushed Philly the other night and I think he'll see the majority of the run at the two in this game against the Lakers. Granted we could see another blowout, but that's a risk I'm willing to take down the stretch. Especially at these prices.

Ben McLemore - FanDuel $3,600 DraftKings $4,200 DraftStreet $5,530
Still has the minutes and this game against Minnesota should be high scoring. Is really a bargain on DraftStreet if you want to play for some upside.

Small Forwards

James Johnson - FanDuel $3,900 DraftKings $3,800 DraftStreet $8,181
I know you've noticed the Grizz-themed picks. Keeping it going here. This is assuming Prince sits again. If so, I'm all over Johnson's athleticism and upside against the Lakers. It will always be a mystery to me why he didn't get more minutes this year. Let's hope he ends the season on the right note.

Corey Brewer - FanDuel $5,000 DraftKings $5,700 DraftStreet $10,848
Had just an ok game the other night, to the tune of 51 fucking points. What?! I'm putting him on here mostly just to comment on that ridiculous number. That was of course with Love out so don't expect that kind of output again. But he does have a decent matchup against Rudy Gay and Kings. Sacramento is below average defensively against the position and while Brewer isn't a favorite to keep putting up HOF numbers, he could still hit value today.

Rudy Gay - FanDuel $7,800 DraftKings $7,200 DraftStreet $14,819
Speaking of Rudy, this is a good spot for the guy. He isn't the scoring machine but in a game against he T-Wolves he'll see more volume because of the pace.

Andrei Kirilenko - FanDuel $3,500 DraftKings $3,000 DraftStreet $5,844
A minimum guy who's starting against today because Livingston will sit again.

Power Forwards

Zach Randolph - FanDuel $7,200 DraftKings $7,600 DraftStreet $14,570
The Lakers won't be able to handle him down low and I was looking to keep the streak of Grizzlies alive. Power forward is weaker today. Of all the Grizz to play, Z-Bo will probably be number one for me today because of the positional scarcity.

Kevin Love - FanDuel $10,600 DraftKings $10,200 DraftStreet $21,821
On a day that will for sure feature its share of punts, Love is a guy to get into lineups when the money is sitting around. Great matchup. Bad defensive team. Love is coming back from injury but I'm not concerned much with that.

Centers

Jonas Valanciunas - FanDuel $6,200 DraftKings $6,400 DraftStreet $14,447
Continues to play at a whole new level. Valanciunas's recent game log would have made him an All-Star if it had happened in the first half of the season. Last game he pulled down 21 rebounds! And he's a favorite for another good line against a Piston team that doesn't defend center well. Granted Drummond's been a rebound machine in his own right, but the price on the new and improved Jonas is solid.

Marc Gasol - FanDuel $7,500 DraftKings $7,500 DraftStreet $14,722
Lakers.

Joakim Noah - FanDuel $9,800 DraftKings $9,000 DraftStreet $18,354
The Knicks are dead and Joakim is the kind of guy who wouldn't mind driving the dagger deeper in the Garden. Don't like the Bulls much today but I can Noah rising to the occasion.
