Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftStreet 4/14/14

We are getting down to it now. Only three days left of the NBA regular season and some teams are still fighting, some are resting, some never really started and some are caught in between. It makes for a tricky DFS landscape. I'll give some plays here, but remember to check the wire prior to lineup lock as we find out guys are sitting/ getting reduced minutes.

Point Guards

Avery Bradley - FanDuel $5,600 DraftKings $4,800 DraftStreet $12,011 and
Phil Pressey - FanDuel $4,200 DraftKings $4,300 DraftStreet $10,340 $4,300
I am putting these guys up here assuming the Celtics shut down Rondo for the rest of the season. They will get to face off against the Sixers and will play a majority of the minutes with the Celts having no real backcourt left. It's worth noting that if Rondo plays I'm probably going to be playing him instead.

Derek Fisher - FanDuel $3,500 DraftKings $3,000 DraftStreet $5,029
I'm adding Fisher on the assumption that Westbrook sits out this end of the back-to-back and Jackson sits as well with his injury from yesterday. If that's the case Fisher makes a great punt play at near minimum prices. He can handle the point and knock down enough shots to more than pay the day here.

Shooting Guards

Gordon Hayward - FanDuel $6,700 DraftKings $7,000 DraftStreet $13,321
This late in the season, I'm looking for a guy I believe will play his usual minutes against a garbage team. Hello Gordon. The Lakers are dead. So are the Jazz, which means Hayward will go thirty plus minutes and get up more than a few shots against a terrible defense. I don't mind paying up here and is a good guy to use to fill up the salary boxes on a night that'll surely feature a bunch of punts.

Austin Rivers - FanDuel $5,000 DraftKings $4,800 DraftStreet $8,401 and
Anthony Morrow - FanDuel $5,000 DraftKings $5,800 DraftStreet $10,276
The Pelicans are working with a threadbare squad right now and Rivers and Morrow saw more than their share of minutes the other night. With Brian Roberts hurt and probably not playing and Tyreke Evans dead or something, these guys could put up numbers against an OKC squad that is banged up in its own right.

Victor Oladipo - FanDuel $6,200 DraftKings $6,200 DraftStreet $10,704
Only considering him if Nelson is out again and even then not loving it.

Small Forwards

Jeff Green - FanDuel $5,900 DraftKings $6,200 DraftStreet $10,547
You know it's desperation time if this guy is leading the pack in the small forward category. Gets to play the Sixers and will be putting his shot up early and often. He jacked up 18 shots last game when Rondo is out and 20 shot attempts is for sure in play against Philly.

Luke Babbitt - FanDuel $3,500 DraftKings $4,700 DraftStreet $7,680
Yup. Only if New Orleans continues down the injury hole. But yeah, Luke Babbitt.

Ryan Kelly - FanDuel $5,000 DraftKings $5,300 DraftStreet $8,828
Guess he's getting the big minutes again now. The Lakers are a fucking disaster. Who ever knows who'll stand around the court the longest for them. Its maddening. I'll take a swing here. Editor's note: As I'm writing this Kelly plays like no minutes against Grizz. Fuck the Lakers.

Power Forwards

Derrick Favors - FanDuel $6,800 DraftKings $7,400 DraftStreet $13,446
Recommending him for many of the same reasons I put up Hayward. Going to need to spend some money tonight to round out your lineup so I'll take the guys against bad defensive teams who are also out of the running. Favors should wreak havoc on the interior against LA. If he didn't post a double-double in this one he shouuld get kicked out of the league.

Brandon Bass - FanDuel $4,800 DraftKings $4,900 DraftStreet $10,342 or
This pick is contingent on Sullinger sitting again. It looks like Humphries will be back but if Jared sat, Bass would get a majority of the minutes at PF. That's a great place to be against the Sixers. I'd consider Sullinger in the same spot, but prefer the prices on Bass.

Tobias Harris
I didn't include his prices because I just want to comment on that he should be a pick with Vucevic out. But the Magic still played him under 25 minutes yesterday even though it seems like his minutes are crazy productive. If he snuck his way into the starting lineup I think you should play him.

Centers

Enes Kanter - FanDuel $6,500 DraftKings $5,700 DraftStreet $12,611
Since Marvin Williams has gone down Kanter is averaging 17/15 with all of the minutes at the five. The Lakers are the worst team in the league defending the opposing center and over the last couple of weeks have actually allowed 25% more scoring than league average against the opposing center.

Alexis Ajinca - FanDuel $4,400 DraftKings $4,200 DraftStreet $9,876
Goes along with his Pelican brethren who are all basically filling in for the team's plethora of injuries. Ajinca has been able to put up solid numbers when he has the minutes and he had them last game. If he's starting you can roll him tonight.

Doug Norrie
