We're also trying a new format called Scorestreak - it's a much more accessible game than the traditional salary cap format, and people who sign up through DFSR get a few free bucks. If you're interested, here are today's daily picks: Check em out.

Editor's note: These are going to be slightly abbreviated picks for today. I usually try to offer some in-depth reasoning behind each pick. For the next few days we will be a little truncated as the DFSR team moves offices. Picks solid no doubt. Write ups brief. Let's get to it.

Pitchers

Tried to channel my inner "smart person" for these pitcher picks as the group is suspect at best.
Stephen Strasburg FanDuel 9700 DraftKings 10700 DraftStreet 23130
The top tier of pitchers is a minefield. I hate Stras the least against a Brewer squad ranked in the middle against righties. Stras is worse on the road, but like I said, the tip five or so pitchers all have big question marks.

Tim Lincecum FanDuel 6800 DraftKings 7800 DraftStreet 14548
Has been a mixed bag this season but it's always worth it to target guys with K upside against the Padres in Petco.

Ian Kennedy FanDuel 6700 DraftKings 8400 DraftStreet 15511
On the flip side, I'm not as over the moon about this play, but Kennedy has struck out more than a batter per inning. A little risky but the Giants are a mediocre club against righties.

Collin McHugh FanDuel 7100 DraftKings 9000 DraftStreet 16333
If you're looking for upside with a big risk/ big reward tag, go after the Braves. They can his a little but rank near the bottom of the league against righties and K a ton. McHugh has quietly kept up his K/inning run.

Catchers

Wilin Rosario FanDuel 3700 DraftKings 4600 DraftStreet 5887
Facing the rookie lefty Gonzales in a launching pad on the right side of his split. The top catcher play on the day with everything in his favor including price.

Yadier Molina FanDuel 3500 DraftKings 4600 DraftStreet 6157
Right behind Rosario except a little more expensive. But also facing a lefty in Coors. Think cash game plays will basically be split between these two guys.

Mike Zunino FanDuel 2600 DraftKings 3200 DraftStreet 5520-late
Need him to be playing obviously but vastly prefer him with lefties and the power is there in pretty disparate splits.

First Basemen

Chris Davis FanDuel 3600 DraftKings 5300 DraftStreet 7556
Great price on FanDuel and I'd pay for him easily on DraftStreet and DraftKings. Davis is obviously a feast or famine play as he can K three time and then hit a bomb. It's a risk I'm willing to take at the salaries.

Joey Votto FanDuel 3500 DraftKings 4800 DraftStreet 6816
Love him against a wild guy like Edwin Jackson who's inefficiency plays right into Votto's strong suits.

Adam LaRoche FanDuel 3300 DraftKings 4300 DraftStreet 6048 - early
Early slate 1B is about as bad as you'll ever see. I'll take him with the splits and a mediocre pitcher in Estrada.

Second Basemen

Ian Kinsler FanDuel 3900 DraftKings 4700 DraftStreet 8520
Is much better against lefties even if it hasn't played out perfectly as such this season. Will still take him against Saunders in a great ballpark for righties.

Jason Kipnis FanDuel 3200 DraftKings 4300 DraftStreet 4836
Chase Anderson is probably destined to be a mediocre major league pitcher and Chase Field really boosts power for lefty bats. Is a crazy great deal on DraftStreet.

DJ LeMahieu FanDuel 2600 DraftKings 3600 DraftStreet 4410 - early
Is kind of bad against everyone but on a short early slate I'll take the righy v. lefty matchup in the best hitter's park in baseball.

Shortstops

Jimmy Rollins FanDuel 2700 DraftKings 4000 DraftStreet 5409
Hard to completely discount Alvarez but Rollins has been solid this season and the park is a big factor here.

Jhonny Peralta FanDuel 3000 DraftKings 3900 DraftStreet 6268
Some guy names Flande is pitching and he's a lefty rolling in Coors. You are going to see some more righty Cards further down this list.

Erick Aybar FanDuel 3200 DraftKings 3700 DraftStreet 5197
Slightly better against righties though Yohan Pino be Pino-ing so far. I doubt the latter can keep up these kind of numbers and I'll take Angels on the upside.

Third Basemen

David Wright FanDuel 3800 DraftKings 4500 DraftStreet 5787
Brad Mills has been in the minors pretty much his whole career for a reason. David Wright has made a career off of hammering lefty pitching. And the Mets in general are starting to hit which is disconcerting.

Nick Castellanos FanDuel 2400 DraftKings 3300 DraftStreet 5591
Much better against lefties for his career though it feels like whenever I play him he blows. Still want to get righty bats in against Saunders and he's cheap everywhere.

Ryan Zimmerman FanDuel 3000 DraftKings 4100 DraftStreet 5154 - early
Don't love the righty-righty matchup in this one but the options are limited and I'll take the guy with the biggest power upside.

Outfielders

Matt Holliday FanDuel 3300 DraftKings 5000 DraftStreet 7387
Allen Craig FanDuel 2800 DraftKings 4500 DraftStreet 6497
You know where this one is going. Price has corrected in a couple of places but what you're getting here is two righties hitting in Coors against a lefty very few people outside of the most rigid prospect circles has heard of.

Jay Bruce FanDuel 3700 DraftKings 4500 DraftStreet 6966
Edwin Jackson is the epitome of wild "effectiveness" and our system love Bruce's upside on EJax's imminent doom.

Torii Hunter FanDuel 3000 DraftKings 3900 DraftStreet 5710
Austin Jackson FanDuel 2500 DraftKings 3800 DraftStreet 4405
Rajai Davis FanDuel 3000 DraftKings 3800 DraftStreet 5203
Al three of these guys are set to tee off on Saunders along with the rest of the Tiger lineup. Their bats are coming around and I think you need to have some exposure to Detroit because they are so righty up and down their lineup and the ballpark pumps up power from the right side.

Nick Markakis FanDuel 3100 DraftKings 4200 DraftStreet 6413
The matchup against Noesi is great for Markakis because the former doesn't even K a guy an inning and ups the walk rate. Markakis is better against righties and hitting at the top of the order against a garbage pitcher could spell an extras PA.
