Point Guards

Russell Westbrook - FD 13300 DK 13200 DFSTR 9400
He is the top points/$ point guard in our system which is absolutely incredible considering his price. It is a testament to two things: his awesomeness and the Lakers' parking cone defense against opposing point guards. There is no reason to fade him today. He simply has too high an expectation at even an insane price. Work everything you can to get him in lineups.

Damian Lillard - FD 8100 DK 7600 DFSTR 7900
If you decide to get away from Westbrook (or want to pair them together) Lillard should be in rare chucking form tonight. The Blazers look like they'll be without Aldridge and Batum in this one, leaving it to Lillard and a bunch of spare parts. His usage rate should be through the roof as Portland lacks any other real scoring threats. There will be some Blazer punt options we can look at later to fit some of the bigger salary. But this should be a Lillard show tonight.

Jeremy Lin - FD 5500 DK 4800 DFSTR 3100
He's starting at point guard tonight against the Thunder with Clarkson moving to the two. That should set Lin's minutes up to be in the low thirties and his price tag doesn't reflect this new role. He isn't exactly a punt as his minutes have kept him in the lower middle tier. But this should be an opportunity for him to pad his stats somewhat as he and Clarkson won't be sharing time anymore.

Consider Greivis Vasquez if Lowry sits again.

Shooting Guards

Dion Waiters - FD 4600 DK 5000 DFSTR 4000
The positive and negative things about Waiters' game are what keeps him as a daily value play in this new role with Durant out. On the one hand, his price is low and he can crush it with a good shooting game. On the flip side, it is low because he will absolutely submarine you if he doesn't get the shot going. I'm willing to go back to the well with him against the Lakers because LA is just dreadful against opposing backcourts. This will only continue with Lin supposedly starting at the two.

Arron Afflalo - FD 4000 DK 4300 DFSTR 4600
C.J. McCollum - FD 3500 DK 3500 DFSTR 3300
Eep. Neither inspires a great deal of confidence but both should see increased opportunity at near minimum salaries with the Blazers getting gutted from injury. They are coming so cheap and should see enough minutes and shots each that I think the dice role here is totally fine. But it doesn't exactly feel great as neither is proven in this Portland system.

Dwyane Wade - FD 7900 DK 7900 DFSTR 7400
I'll be getting bigger money in with some other positions, but Wade is still an intriguing dude against the Bucks. The shots are there and this should be a closer game.

Small Forwards

Dorell Wright - FD 3500 DK 3500 DFSTR 3000
One of the better punt options on the day and a great way to fit some of the bigger money dudes into your lineup. Wright is another of the Blazer contingent who will fill the potential void left by Aldridge and Batum. He picked up 25 minutes last game when those guys went down and the run should be there again tonight. Not a great matchup with the Warriors, but Portland is playing super shorthanded.

Terrence Ross - FD 3500 DK 3700 DFSTR 3500
Been playing solid minutes in the 30s for the Raptors and that's been good enough to have him hitting value. I'm mostly looking at the price because again, I'm all about fitting guys like Westbrook, Lillard and Boogie into as many lineups as possible. That's what makes me willing to play a loser like Ross who has a decent expectation considering how rough Detroit is on D.

Rudy Gay - FD 8600 DK 7700 DFSTR 7300
Philly actually hasn't been the trainwreck we thought they'd be on defense this season. That being said, they aren't good either. Consider Gay in this spot, though I think his points per dollar expectation is lower than what you can get elsewhere.

Consider Kawhi Leonard if you think the Spurs-Mavs game stays close throughout.

Power Forwards

Ersan Ilyasova - FD 5600 DK 5900 DFSTR 4300
Gives me that not-so-fresh feeling just putting him at the top spot in the picks, not to mention thinking about playing him in cash games. But he's coming cheap and Jason Kidd doesn't seem to hate his guts lately. The never-ending Nets game aside, Ersan's been seeing run in the low thirties and if that continues tonight his price puts him on the safe side. Again, I don't feel wonderful about it, but power forward is crazy weak on this slate.

Patrick Patterson - FD 4400 DK 4200 DFSTR 4400
Amir Johnson - FD 4500 DK 4300 DFSTR 4700
Two guys I don't mind if their minutes creep into the 27 range. That's about all each would need to be a solid play on this slate. Again, I can't reiterate just how bad power forward is here. I wouldn't pay up for really any of the bigger money guys who aren't already hurt and sitting (pro tip: don't play a guy who sits. You will accrue zero points for this move). Patterson and Johnson face a Detroit squad that's real weak on the interior.

Consider Anthony Tolliver if he starts again for Monroe

Center

DeMarcus Cousins - FD 10700 DK 9600 DFSTR 9300
He isn't the first and last place I'm looking at center tonight, but it's close. Only played 23 minutes against the Wiz, but that game was well in hand by the end of the third and George Karl yanked him. Tonight, he could go off against a Sixer team that's allowed 5% more scoring and 9% more rebounding than league average to opposing centers. Noel playing the five is better for Philly, but it's not great. I think Boogie is an excellent big money play and where I can fit he, Lillard and Westbrook into lineups, I'm doing it.

Robin Lopez - FD 4700 DK 4500 DFSTR 5200
With Aldridge and Kaman both on the doubtful side Ro-Lo could be looking at some major minutes tonight. He played 32 last game when the Blazers ran into injury issues and the same or more could be in store tonight. This one is all about price and opportunity. If he creeps near double-double territory then he really crushes his prices.

Joel Freeland - FD 3500 DK 3000 DFSTR 3000
Steven Adams - FD 5500 DK 5900 DFSTR 4000
These two guys make for very cheap options on the slate if you are looking to save. I'd tend to trust Adams more because the minutes are fully there, but Freeland should see time with Aldridge out and is coming at the minimums
