Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $9600 DK - $10900Opponent - PORProj Pts FD - 54 DK - 57.14 Lebron James is sitting out again on Saturday and the Lakers might be in trouble. They are coming off a loss to the Thunder on Thursday and have real issues with their lineup. But from a fantasy standpoint, we don’t care all that much about those problems. Westbrook is in line for a lot of usage again after taking 23 shots last game. He was inefficient (10-23 from the field) and turned the ball over, but the floor is just still so high without James in the lineup. He’s a much better price on FanDuel where he’s a tough fade. The DraftKings price is a bit of a stretch though and there are other value plays in the top tier on this slate so I don’t think he’s a must. Chris Paul FD - $8100 DK - $8400Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 41.65 DK - 44.53 Paul has been a popular option over his last couple of games and been amazing in that stretch as well. He’s put up 13 and 18 assists games over the last two and has 10 steals combined over his last three. The price on both sites isn’t all that close to reflecting his current minutes’ status after getting buzzed off some run earlier in the year. The Suns implied 115 points is, by far, the highest on the slate. This is still a shot to buy on Paul. Shooting Guard Dennis Schroder FD - $6000 DK - $5400Opponent - DALProj Pts FD - 33.22 DK - 34.34 Jaylen Brown has already been ruled out of this game meaning we are going to get some value from the Celtics on this slate. The last time Brown missed a game, Schroder played 33 minutes and took the second-most shots on the team with 14. He finished with 18 points to go with five rebounds and five assists. The price has come down since then because the Celtics have been fully healthy. But I think we can go back to him here because of the opportunity now available with...

Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $7500 DK - $8400Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 43.08 DK - 45.54 This game between the Kings and the Hornets has the highest over/under on the slate at 227 and should be an up-and-down affair between the fourth and fifth fastest teams in the league. Fox has struggled some to start the season which has his price way down on FanDuel especially. He’s shooting just 19% from three and 39% from the field, both way down from his career averages. He is down at the free-throw line. Though some players’ struggles to start the season are well-publicized, I think we are still in “short-term blip” territory with a lot of them, Fox included. Stephen Curry FD - $9800 DK - $11400Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 53.22 DK - 58.82 Curry will face a Pelicans’ team on Friday that ranks dead last in defensive efficiency on the season with not many paths to get a whole lot better as they move forward. Charlotte tried to run him off the line more last game with their wings, but New Orleans won’t be able to do the same thing and we could see a big game from Steph. His shot attempts are down a little over the last two games, but it looks like that is more a blip than anything. I think the DraftKings price is way too high, but on FanDuel he is still very much a value. Patrick Beverley (FD 5000 DK 4000) is a great DraftKings play with D'Angelo Russell sitting this one out again for the Timberwolves. Shooting Guard Cade Cunningham FD - $4200 DK - $4600Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 24.24 DK - 27.53 The number one draft pick had struggled some through his first two games, going a combined 0-14 from three to start his career. That piece didn’t get a whole lot better on Thursday against the 76ers considering he just 1-7. But the rest of the line showed a lot of promise. He was second on the team with 17 shots and finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. The young star has plenty of...

Point Guard Cameron Payne FD - $5000 DK - $4000Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 34.61 DK - 35.27 Cameron Payne is going to likely get the start for the Suns with Chris Paul out and that should mean a lot of minutes for the point guard. We have a decent idea of what Payne can offer with more minutes considering that’s what he saw in the first round against the Lakers with Paul was injured with the shoulder. Payne had a three-game stretch going 25 or more minutes in each and he averaged 16 points, six assists and three rebounds. He should play 30+ in this one easily and is the value play of the slate. Reggie Jackson FD - $5500 DK - $6100Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 33.78 DK - 35.35 Jackson was a star in Game 6 against the Jazz, stepping up in a huge way without Kawhi Leonard on the court. He dropped in 27 points and 10 assists in 38 minutes to help carry them to victory in a somewhat improbable win. They’ll need his scoring again if they want to move on to the NBA finals. He took 15 and 16 shots respectively over the last two games with Leonard off the court and the price hasn’t really moved all that much. This is still a great spot for him and made better because the Suns are without Chris Paul. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $7900 DK - $8900Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 47.04 DK - 49.16 On the season, Booker led the Suns with a 32% usage rate, and that number jumped to 35% when Chris Paul was off the court. He’s had an excellent playoffs and in the series against the Lakers, when Paul was really compromised with injuries, Booker shone scoring 30 points per game, taking more than 20 shots a contest. Expect a lot of minutes and usage in this game with the Suns’ floor general off the court. The price doesn’t totally reflect what should be an increased role here against the Clippers. Terance Mann FD - $4400 DK - $4900Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 27.05 DK - 27.29 Mann was a...

Pitchers Afternoon Aaron Nola FD - P 10000 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - SF (Alex Wood) Park - SFFD - 38.48 DK - 20.91 Nola is only even money on the afternoon slate, but he’s one of the few aces actually taking the mound during that time slot. On the season, Nola is striking out close to 11 batters per nine with a 5:1 K:BB ration on the season and 3.51 xFIP. The matchup against the Giants isn’t a good one considering how good they’ve been on offense this season, ranking 6th in the league in team wOBA. But Nola is the best pound-for-pound pitcher going here and it’s tough to get away from that skill set. Evening Patrick Sandoval FD - P 7800 DK - SP 8600 Opponent - DET (Wily Peralta) Park - LAAFD - 29.89 DK - 15.73 Sandoval has the second-best win odds on the evening slate as a -190 home favorite against the Tigers. He isn’t the best arm going here, striking out less than a batter per inning and walking more 3.5 in that same frame. But he’s got one of the better matchups around against the Tigers. They ranked 24th in the league in team offense on the season and striking out more than 27% of the time on the season. Sometimes the matchup can win out in a situation like this. Dinelson Lamet (FD $6200 DK $7100) is coming cheap here, but the matchup is bad. Catcher/First Base Afternoon Carlos Santana FD - 1B 3000 DK - 1B 4800 Opponent - BOS (Martin Perez) Park - KCFD - 11.25 DK - 8.37 Santana is rarely an exciting play, but that doesn’t make him a bad play. He’s one of the most patient hitters in the league and has been that way for some time now. He already has 11 home runs on the season and is walking more than he’s striking out. This is the much better side of the platoon for the switch hitter and for his career has a .362 wOBA and .833 OPS against lefties. He’s striking out only 13% of the time in this split which means there should be plenty of contact against the lefty Perez. Evening Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 3800 DK - 1B 5800 Opponent - STL (Adam Wainwright) Park - ATLFD - 14.2 DK - 10.62 Adam Wainwright is still kicking around...

Point Guard Reggie Jackson FD - $5500 DK - $5200Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 30.8 DK - 32.19 Get ready to see a lot of Clippers on this list for Friday. That’s just the way it is when they lose their best player and everyone else has to pick up the slack in the scoring department and the minutes as well. Jackson was third on the team last game with 15 shots in his 37 minutes. LAC just isn’t a high assist team with the way they run their offense, so you aren’t going to get that out of the PG slot here. But he’s just too cheap for the minutes they need him to play in this game. Jordan Clarkson FD - $5200 DK - $6200Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 31.86 DK - 33.6 Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley are both questionable for this game. There’s a world where neither plays, but even if just one sits then I do think Clarkson is still an option. It’s been a real struggle for Clarkson this series and he’s shooting just 38% from the field through the first five games. The volume is mostly there and he’s getting just about enough minutes off the bench. But the shot just isn’t going down. It’s kept the FanDuel price in check though and I think you can take a stab at him in cash. Shooting Guard Paul George FD - $10600 DK - $10100Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 46.66 DK - 48.89 Playoff P definitely stepped up last game with Kawhi Leonard on the shelf and turned in a great game for the Clippers in a somewhat surprising win. George took a team-high 22 shots which wasn’t all that surprising. We all knew he was going to have the highest usage rate on the team when Kawhi was ruled out. He ended up putting in 37 points which started to pay the day. But the 16 rebounds was a surprise and he was able to really turn in a fantastic fantasy performance. George will be the highest-owned player on the slate in this one and it will be correct. Terance Mann FD - $4400 DK -...
