Pitchers Pablo López FD 10900 DK 10200 Opponent - OAK (Hogan Harris) Park - OAK FD - 36.6 DK - 19.95 Lopez will be looking to pick up where he left off as he entered the break red-hot with a complete-game, 12 K, shutout and recorded a 2.72 ERA/3.03 xFIP over his last six starts. The strikeout total was no fluke either as he has tallied double-digits in two of his last three starts with a 30.5% K rate over those last six while averaging 26.5 DK/45.2 FD points per start. He is not only almost $3K cheaper than Strider on DraftKings, he also gets a better matchup against an A's team that is bottom 3 in almost all offensive categories. Fire up Lopez in all formats. Also Consider: Andrew Abbott(CIN) who will be looking for revenge against the Brewers who handed him his first career loss. No matter what happened last game, it is a great matchup as the Brewers strike out more than any other team vs left-handed pitching(27.5%). George Kirby(SEA) will be looking to continue his consistent play as he went into the break allowing two or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts for a 2.18 ERA/3.50 xFIP and 21.8 DK points per start Catcher/First Base Anthony Rizzo FD 3200 DK 4800 Opponent - COL (Connor Seabold) Park - COL FD - 15.74 DK - 11.8 The Yankees let us down last night in Coors but you can bet we are going back to the well given the affordable pricing making lineup construction a whole lot easier. I will be starting with Rizzo  who has mostly been disappointing lately not recoding multiple hits since late June but checks a lot of boxes tonight. He still has a ton of power from the left side and the better news is that he faces Connor Seabold who has had his issues against lefties giving up a .390 wOBA and over two home runs per nine innings. At these prices, Rizzo is my top play at first tonight in all formats. Also Consider: If spending up, Matt Olson(ATL) is the easy choice as he is red-hot and gets an excellent matchup against a pitcher who struggles mightily against lefties or for value, LaMonte Wade(SFG) who is projected to leadoff for the Giants and has hits in four of his last five games Second Base Ozzie Albies FD...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 6/26/23

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 6/26/23 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Spencer Strider FD 11300 DK 12600 Opponent - MIN (Sonny Gray) Park - MIN FD - 43 DK - 24.46 Luis Castillo FD 10600 DK 11000 Opponent - WSH (Trevor Williams) Park - WSH FD - 38.82 DK - 21.08 There is a case to be made for both elite-priced aces tonight. Strider leads all of baseball with a wicked 39% K rate while using primarily two pitches(FB-59%, SL-34%) which create massive swings and misses. After a couple rough outings he bounced back in a big way in Philly last week allowing just one earned run and striking nine en route to his 8th win. He now gets an elite matchup for strikeouts as the Twins have struck out 28% of the time over the last 14 days and 27% of the time vs. right-handed pitching on the season. If you end up needing that $1,600 for bats on DraftKings, I love starting with Luis Castillo who despite having some control issues lately(10 BB last two starts) has been very consistent overall in 2023. He has held opponents to three or fewer earned runs in 13 of 15 starts and held them to two or fewer in four of his last six. The K upside is nowhere near that of Strider tonight facing a Nats team that strikes out less than 20% of the time but the good news is they are bottom 5 in almost all other hitting categories and splits. Stay tuned for starting lineup and value plays that pop up but both these starters are elite plays in all formats. Justin Verlander FD 8100 DK 8300 Opponent - MIL (Colin Rea) Park - MIL FD - 35.99 DK - 19.84 It still feels weird seeing Verlander down in this price range and it fully comes from the inconsistency but we can't ignore the PT/$ value on a Hall of Fame pitcher who is a -180 favourite. He gets a terrific matchup to get back on track after allowing four earnies in his last starts as he now faces a Brewers team that is bottom five in hitting over the last couple of weeks striking out at a 28% rate and also strike out the 4th most(25%) of any team against right-handed pitching. I am willing to take on the risk the veteran arm presents at these prices and will have exposure in all formats. Also Consider: Reid...

Pitchers Gerrit Cole FD 10600 DK 10900 Opponent - SEA (George Kirby) Park - SEAFD - 37.57 DK - 20.74 Despite the difficulty of the day's pitching matchups, Gerrit Cole of the New York Yankees stands out as an appealing option. He'll take the mound against the Seattle Mariners, and is pound-for-pound the best pitcher on the slate. Cole has pitched 91 innings in 2023, boasting a commendable ERA of 2.75, 98 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 1.11. He comes up against a Mariners' lineup with a middling .692 OPS, and the opposing pitcher - George Kirby - has a less threatening ERA of 3.24. In addition, Cole's strikeout potential is immense, with an opponent's strikeout per 9 rate of 7.92. While he does carry a hefty price tag on both FanDuel ($10,600) and DraftKings ($10,900), the potential return on investment is considerable given Cole's proven dominance. Justin Verlander FD 8200 DK 7300 Opponent - HOU (Framber Valdez) Park - HOUFD - 34.73 DK - 19.19 Justin Verlander of the New York Mets has had an inconsistent 2023 season, but his alternating performance trend and favorable pricing on FanDuel ($8200) and DraftKings ($7300) make him an intriguing choice for today's slate. Despite some hiccups, Verlander has still managed to register 39 strikeouts over 45 innings of work with a 4.4 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. While he will be facing a formidable Houston lineup with a solid .712 OPS, the 9.4 strikeout per 9 rate of the Astros provides upside for Verlander's strikeout potential. Today's matchup also features opposing pitcher Framber Valdez, whose performance could provide a path to a win for Verlander. His relatively low price point on both DFS platforms could provide value if he continues to alternate with good games and earns the win. Aaron Civale FD 8400 DK 7900 Opponent - OAK (Luis Medina) Park - OAKFD - 33.57 DK - 17.68 Aaron Civale isn't necessarily known for his high strikeout rate, with only 22 punchouts in 27 innings of work this season. However, he boasts a solid ERA of 2.67, indicating his ability to limit the scoring of opposing teams. Today, he faces an Oakland Athletics lineup that carries a modest .657 OPS. Additionally, Civale has the most favorable moneyline odds at -229, the best win odds on the slate. Even though his strikeout numbers may not be stellar, his ability to control games...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Sonny Gray FD 10100 DK 9300 Opponent - DET (Matthew Boyd) Park - DET FD - 38.51 DK - 20.59 Starting pitching doesn't get any easier on Thursday as the top two pitchers in Ohtani and Eovaldi face each other's top offences and Javier is coming off a dud and faces a Nats team that doesn't strike out. That has Sonny Gray sitting atop our projections on the main slate and it makes sense as he checks a bunch of boxes. First of all, he has been consistent in not allowing more than three earned runs in any start and holding opponents to two or fewer in 10 of 13 starts for a very impressive 2.25 ERA. The strikeouts have been down recently but I am not concerned in a plus matchup against the Tigers who are dead last in wOBA both on the season and against right-handed pitching. Fire up Gray in all formats. Also Consider: Johan Oviedo(PIT) as a value option as the wind is blowing in at Wrigley and he faces a Cubs team that has struggled to a .278 wOBA, 72 wRC+, and 26% K rate over the last 14 days Catcher/First Base José Abreu FD 2600 DK 3100 Opponent - WSH (MacKenzie Gore) Park - WSH FD - 10.31 DK - 7.82 The Astros are in dire need of some offence with the recent injury to Yordan Alvarez so this has been a perfect time for Abreu to finally start heating up. After a rough start to the season, the Jose Abreu we have known for consistency and power over the last nine years appears to be back. He comes in with hits in 10 of his last 12 games and more impressive, he has multi-hit efforts in five of his last six with three of his four total home runs. He and the Stros are also in a plus spot against Mackenzie Gore who struggled recently giving up 3+ earned runs in four of his last five starts for a 5.14 ERA and 20.6% HR/FB rate. Abreu comes at a low price on both sites and is in play in all formats. Also Consider: Matt Olson(ATL) as a GPP addition to a Braves stack Second Base Mauricio Dubón FD 2900 DK 3800 Opponent - WSH (MacKenzie Gore) Park - WSH FD - 9.98 DK - 7.71 I mentioned the plus matchup against Gore...

Pitchers Hunter Brown FD 10000 DK 10500 Opponent - WSH (Patrick Corbin) Park - WSHFD - 40.45 DK - 21.94M Let's kick things off with a big gun, shall we? We've got Houston's Hunter Brown on our radar. Why? Well, he's been absolutely lighting it up on the mound, with a solid 3.69 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP over 68 innings. Not to mention his 79 strikeouts. And guess who he's up against? That's right, it's Washington's Patrick Corbin, who's been struggling with a 4.89 ERA and a .713 OPS. With Brown's Astros being a huge moneyline favorite at -277, he's worth the price. Buckle up, because Brown is ready to rock it! Max Scherzer FD 9400 DK 9800 Opponent - NYY (Luis Severino) Park - NYYFD - 39.05 DK - 21.94 Sure Scherzer is up against the New York Yankees, and that might make some folks nervous. But hey, it's Max Scherzer we're talking about and sometimes talent just wins out. He's been much better of late over his last few starts. And over his last 53 innings pitched, he's racked up a decent 3.71 ERA, 58 strikeouts, and a 1.18 WHIP. And don't forget, he's got a Moneyline of -155, showing some solid faith in his performance. Plus, the opposing pitcher, Luis Severino, has been dealing with a 5.75 ERA. So even though it's a tough matchup, Max Scherzer might just be worth taking the risk. Tony Gonsolin FD 8100 DK 8200 Opponent - CHW (Lance Lynn) Park - CHWFD - 33.75 DK - 17.64 Tony Gonsolin of the LA Dodgers is another interesting pitcher for consideration. He may not have the highest strikeout rate, but he does have some appealing factors. Gonsolin has displayed impressive control recently with an ERA of just 2.21 over his last 40 innings pitched and a WHIP of 0.98. In terms of betting odds, his -222 Moneyline is also worth noting. His opponent, Lance Lynn of the White Sox, is currently struggling with a 6.72 ERA, giving Gonsolin a favorable matchup. Even though he's not your typical strikeout artist, Gonsolin could offer solid value against the White Sox. First Base José Abreu FD 2600 DK 2900 Opponent - WSH (Patrick Corbin) Park - WSHFD - 11.66 DK - 8.84 We've got a noteworthy opportunity here with José Abreu. He's set to hit 5th against left-handed pitcher Patrick Corbin of the Nationals....

Pitchers Gerrit Cole FD 10500 DK 11000 Opponent - BOS (Garrett Whitlock) Park - BOSFD - 39.25 DK - 21.78 Ready to unleash some Yankees power, Gerrit Cole is taking the bump against the Red Sox. The ace brings his 2022 stats to the table, an impressive 3.498 ERA and an outstanding 257 strikeouts over 200 innings. His command on the mound, as evidenced by his 1.13 WHIP this season, is remarkable. He's up against Garrett Whitlock whose stats are less than ideal, owning a 5.61 ERA and a lower strikeout rate per 9 of 7.01. With Cole leading the arms for the Yankees, they're a strong -169 favorite in this face-off. Given Cole's dominant track record and the pitching-friendly environment of the Yankees' home ground, he's set to rake against the Red Sox. Considering his impressive stats and the favorable matchup, he's a perfect player to roster in your cash game lineups. Shohei Ohtani FD 10000 DK 10400 Opponent - SEA (Luis Castillo) Park - SEAFD - 39.9 DK - 22.29 The versatile Shohei Ohtani is set to showcase his pitching skills for the Angels against the Mariners. Last season, he registered a stellar 2.331 ERA and amassed 219 strikeouts over 166 innings. Fast forward to this season, and he's maintaining his elite form with a 3.3 ERA, 96 strikeouts, and a commanding WHIP of 1.01 in 71 innings. Despite the Mariners' decent strikeout rate and low OPS, Ohtani's superior command and knack for striking out batters position the Angels as a -132 favorite in this matchup. With his top-tier arm, a favorable right-hand matchup, and a favorable pitcher's park, Ohtani is a strong pick for any cash game lineup. Jordan Montgomery FD 8200 DK 7300 Opponent - CIN (Ben Lively) Park - CINFD - 33.76 DK - 17.94 Stepping into the affordable range, we have Jordan Montgomery ready to take the bump for the Cardinals against the Reds. Montgomery has had a fair season thus far, clocking an ERA of 4.23, 60 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 1.38 over 66 innings. He's up against Ben Lively, and despite Lively's commendable ERA of 3.03, Montgomery's track record and the Cardinals' favorable -182 moneyline suggest he's in a good spot. With Busch Stadium, a pitching-friendly park, as the venue, Montgomery presents a viable SP2 option on DraftKings. His decent strikeout rate and affordable price make him a compelling pick...
