GoBowling 400

Kansas Speedway - Kansas City, Kansas
Track - 1.5 Mile D shaped Oval Intermediate
15° Banking in the Corners

It was Brad Keselowski who picked up the win after a crazy, wreck filled Talladega race. There was 33 of the 40 cars that were involved in at lest one wreck. Just nuts! It was Keselowski's second win of the season and he is now locked into the Chase for the Sprint Cup playoffs. Kyle Busch finished runner up with Austin Dillon, Jamie McMurray and Chase Elliott rounding out the Top 5 last Sunday.

This week NASCAR heads to Kansas Speedway for the GoBowling 400 which will be held under the lights on Saturday night. The track is a 1.5 mile D-shaped oval intermediate with 15° banking in the corners, 5° on the front stretch and 10° on the back stretch. The track was re paved back in 2012 and is starting lose grip down low which should force a lot of drivers to the top to find grip and speed. Something to watch for in practice Friday. This will also be the first race at Kansas Speedway with the new downforce package so we should be in for a tremendous race this weekend.

For fantasy this week qualifying won't be as  crucial as there should be lots of passing. In the past there has been multiple drivers every race here that finish inside the Top 10 and even the Top 5 who started farther back in the field. This is where we will mine for our top values so be sure to check the article & cheatsheet Friday after practice and qualifying.

I will again be selling a cheatsheet every week of the NASCAR season. It will include drivers salaries for DraftKings and FantasyFeud, current form(last 5 races), track history(last 5 years), and I update the cheatsheet throughout the weekend following practice and qualifying. With the purchase of the cheatsheet you also get a few sample lineups. These lineups will almost always change following qualifying and practice so be sure to check lineup page before lineups lock on Sunday.

I have added weighted rankings for Track History, Current Form, Season Loop Data and Practice/Qualifying. This will help better identify the best values each week and can be full customized by the user. Just download the View Only version from the lineups page and create copy which will then allow you to change any weights or sort any column you wish. If you have any questions about the cheatsheet throw me an email(jagerbombs99@gmail.com) or hit me up on Twitter(@jager_bombs9).

Upper Tier Targets ($9,000+)

Jimmie Johnson
DraftKings - $10,600
Fantasy Feud - $255,000
Practice #1 - 11th
Final Practice - 4th
Qualified - 15th

Just another track that Jimmie has dominated throughout this career. He is the only active driver with a career average finish(8.74) below 10 and leads all drivers with three wins at Kansas. In the last five years(10 races) he has picked up two wins, five Top 5's and nine Top 10 finishes. The #48 team has always been an elite half mile team and with the new downforce package this season they have finishes of 1st, 3rd, 1st, and 4th on the 1/2 mile tracks. Pretty good I would say. Play Jimmie in all formats this week.

Kyle Busch
DraftKings - $10,200
Fantasy Feud - $230,000
Practice #1 - 21st
Final Practice - 5th
Qualified - 6th

It has been a great start to his title defense in 2016 as he has already locked himself into the Chase with two wins and has finished eight of the 10 races this season inside the Top 4. The Joe Gibbs Racing team have all been strong having won five races this season with 16 Top 5 finishes. Kyle was very irritated with his 2nd place finish last week at Talladega and made it clear he hates restrictor plate racing. Kyle has been one of the best drivers with the new downforce package and should again be a factor on Saturday night.

Joey Logano
DraftKings - $9,800
Fantasy Feud - $220,000
Practice #1 - 14th
Final Practice - 16th
Qualified - 14th

He sits 5th in the points standings after 10 races but unlike his teammate he has yet to hit victory lane. Both Penske drivers come back to Kansas where they have had success and in the last 10 races Logano has tallied two wins and five Top 5 finishes. He is another driver is probably happy to get away from Talladega where he got caught up in a wreck and finishes 25th. In 2016 he has finishes of 12th, 2nd, 4th, and 3rd at the half mile tracks so expect another strong showing at Kansas.

Also Consider - Kevin Harvick

Middle Tier Targets ($6,500-$9,000)

Denny Hamlin
DraftKings - $8,700
Fantasy Feud - $200,000
Practice #1 - 6th
Final Practice - 3rd
Qualified - 3rd

Like I mentioned above with Kyle Busch, the Joe Gibbs Racing team has been the dominant team this season and week in and week out one of them comes at a great value. This week it is Hamlin who is priced below $9K and is one of only six drivers to pick up a win here in the last five years(10 races). Besides that win he also has three Top 5's and four Top 10's with a 13.8 average finish. He already has a win on the season back at the Daytona 500 but has been up and down since then with three Top 5's but also has five finishes outside of 15th. The inconsistency on the half mile tracks this season has him pegged as a GPP lay only for me this week.

Paul Menard
DraftKings - $6,700
Fantasy Feud - $100,000
Practice #1 - 23rd
Final Practice - 25th
Qualified - 11th

Menard is a driver I will have a ton of exposure to across all formats this week. He comes in under $7K and has terrific track history here at Kansas. In the last five years(10 races) he has tallied a Top 5, four Top 10's and a 13.2 average finish(9th best in the field). His value will increase if he qualifies poorly as he has only recorded one Top 10 finish in 2016. He could be in line to pick up #2 this week but a Top 15 would definitely be enough to hit value.

Also Consider - Kasey Kahne, Kyle Larson

Low End Targets ($6,500 and Below)

Greg Biffle
DraftKings - $6,300
Fantasy Feud - $110,000
Practice #1 - 24th
Final Practice - 18th
Qualified - 20th

His price just keeps getting lower and lower. He isn't the driver he once was but is still a Top 20 option in the Cup series. He has the 13th best track history here over the past 10 races with  one Top 5 and three Top 10's with a 14.2 average finish. He hasn't been awful lately with three Top 15's and four Top 20's in his last five races and has a average +14 place differential. You could do worse for GPP in this price range. Take a shot.

Also Consider - Regan Smith, Brian Scott
