A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!
Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Boston Red Sox vs. Ricky Nolasco (Twins)
Park - Fenway Park

The Red Sox have been on absolute fire lately and outside of yesterday, have been winning people a ton of tournaments. They will be taking on Ricky Nolasco, a right handed veteran that has struggled mightily against both righties and lefties. Dating back to 2013, Nolasco has given up a .376 wOBA to left handers and has not been much better against righties with a .326 wOBA. With his age increasing and velocity decreasing, you can expect him to only get worse. My 5 favorite Red Sox are David Ortiz, Mookie Betts, Hanley Ramirez, Xander Bogaerts and Dustin Pedroia, in that order. While the stack will be very highly owned, it just might be worth it in both cash games and tournaments.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Keyvius Sampson (Reds)
Park - Great American Ballpark

The Cincinnati Reds have one of the worst pitching situations in the league and I see no reason to think that will change anytime soon. Keyvius Sampson is a guy that they will be moving from the bullpen into the starting rotation and will struggle mightily, at least for a few starts. Sampson has exhibited a +.370 wOBA against both lefties and righties and the Diamondbacks will look to get to the bullpen early in the game. The top 5 bats on the team for me are Jacob Lamb, Paul Goldschmidt, Welington Castillo, Jean Segura and Brandon Drury, in that order. The Great American Ballpark is a great one for hitters as it ranked in the top 10 for both lefties and righties.
