Tuukka RaskTuukka Rask FD - $8800 DK - $8400
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 19.35 DK - 4.84

Let's start things off with Boston's #1 net-minder. Today him and the Bruins welcome the lowly Detroit Red Wings to town. The Wings are a struggling team this season. They are ranked 26th on offense and their powerplay unit is the absolute worst overall (30th)in the NHL. Tuukka has lost his last two games, but before that he won five out of six starts, including a shutout vs. Montreal. Detroit is playing in back-to-back road games, so that adds more icing to the cake. Rask is the top goalie play in all formats today.

Also Consider: Matt Murray - Pit (GPP)

CENTERS

Evgeni MalkinEvgeni Malkin FD - $8800 DK - $7900
Opponent - WPG
Proj Pts FD - 17.89 DK - 5.2

The Russian star has been outplaying his teammate "Sid the Kid" lately and tonight the Pens travel to Winnipeg to play the undisciplined Jets. The Jets are ranked 27th in the league on defense and their penalty kill is ranked 24th. That's not good news for Winnipeg as Pittsburgh is the best offensive team in the league and their powerplay is second best overall. Malkin has three goals, two assists and eight shots on goal in his last two games. He averages 1.18 points per game which is just barely behind Crosby (1.19) for the best in the league. Enough said. Malkin is an elite play in all formats today against the Jets.

PP Stack with: Sydney Crosby, Phil Kessel, Patrick Hornqvist

Patrice BergeronPatrice Bergeron FD - $7300 DK - $7400
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 16.13 DK - 5.07

Okay, so we need to spend up at center today because of the lack of value in the lower tier. But have no fear, my friends, there is a ton of cheap value plays at winger and defense. I simply cannot ignore Bergeron and the Bruins today as they are about to face the lowly Wings. Detroit owns the 25th ranked defense and things could get ugly for them today in Bean Town. Bergeron has a goal, two assists and 12 shots in his last two games and 43 shots in his last 10. Wow, now that is impressive. He also has three goals and seven assists in his last eight games. It's advisable to get exposure to the Bruins today and Bergeron is also an elite play in all formats.

Stack with: Brad Marchand, David Backes

WINGERS

Patrick SharpPatrick Sharp FD - $4800 DK - $4400
Opponent - OTT
Proj Pts FD - 11.26 DK - 3.6

Here is where the value plays start and they will continue right until the end. Sharp has been rather sharp lately (no pun intended) as he scored a goal and added an assist in his last game in Washington. He also has seven shots on goal in his last two games and averages just under three shots per game this season. He plays on the Stars' #3 line, but he plays on their lethal #1 PP unit with Benn and Seguin amongst others. With his high shot average, he is a decent cash game play, but where he makes the best play, is in GPP lineups stacked with his underrated line-mates.

Stack with: Roman Faska, Drew Shore

Alex BurrowsAlex Burrows FD - $3700 DK - $4500
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 6.97 DK - 1.96

It looks like this guy is happy that he was traded to a playoff contender. Burrows scored a goal on three shots and added an assist against Boston in his last game. He now has three goals, an assist, six shots and five blocks in three games with the Senators. He plays on the Sens' #2 line as well as their #2 powerplay unit. The Stars are ranked 29th on defense and their penalty kill is ranked dead last in the league. From a PTS/$ perspective, Burrows is my favorite play in all formats today.

Stack with: Mark Stone, Derrick Brassard

Also Consider: Connor Sheary (PIT)

DEFENSEMEN

Joshua MorrisseyJoshua Morrissey FD - $3500 DK - $3400
Opponent - PIT
Proj Pts FD - 7.36 DK - 2.14

At DFSR we love digging deep to find value defensemen and today we have two fine selections for you. The projection system loves both guys from a PTS/$ perspective. Morrissey is quickly turning into a good young defenseman for the Jets. He scored a goal last game to go along with five shots and three blocks. The young man has five blocks in his last two games and nine shots in his last four games. He doesn't offer much upside, but at these near minimum prices, he is a nice salary cap filler for your cash game lineups.

Mark StreitMark Streit FD - $3800 DK - $4100
Opponent - WPG
Proj Pts FD - 8.18 DK - 2.7

Here is another guy who is enjoying life on a playoff contending team. Streit is a powerplay specialist and that is great news playing in Pittsburgh. The long toothed veteran has a goal, an assist, eight shots and two blocks in his two games in Pittsburgh and he currently plays on the #2 powerplay unit while averaging 19.5 minutes per game. Enough said. Streit is a great play in all formats today.
