GOALIES

Jonathan BernierJonathan Bernier FD - $8600 DK - $8300
Opponent - WPG
Proj Pts FD - 17.03 DK - 4.26

I wasn't totally sold on my goalie selection until I watched the Jets play the Kings late last night. The Kings won 5-2. Winnipeg cannot stay out of the penalty box and they are a complete mess of a hockey team right now, especially on the defensive end. They have a couple of snipers who can score goals, but that doesn't matter when they are short-handed for what seems to be for half of the game. Bernier has filled in admirably for John Gibson since he has been injured. He is 6-0-1 in his last seven games with a GAA of 1.54 and a .950 save percentage. The Ducks are tough to beat on home ice and the Jets are ranked 28th on defense so Bernier should have plenty of offensive support and is a great play in all formats this evening.

Also Consider: Martin Jones - SJ (GPP)

CENTERS

Ryan GetzlafRyan Getzlaf FD - $7800 DK - $6700
Opponent - WPG
Proj Pts FD - 15.81 DK - 4.6

As I stated above, the Jets are ranked third worst in the league defensively and the sin bin is where they like to hang out. That's great news for Getzlaf as he gets a lot of attention on the top powerplay unit in Anaheim. The star Canadian center has four assists, two shots and six blocks in his last two games. He only averages two shots on goal per game, but he has 77 blocks in 66 games, which is impressive for a forward. That adds safety to Getzlaf and he obviously has upside against an awful Jets defensive unit, so he is a great play in all formats this evening.

Stack With: Rickard Rakell, Patrick Eaves

Brayden PointBrayden Point FD - $4300 DK - $5300
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 9.27 DK - 2.65

Oh my, I love me some Tampa Bay skaters today. This young man has been playing well in his last seven games while centering superstar Nikita Kucherov. He has averaged 21 minutes of ice time per game in those seven games. At these prices, he is simply too cheap, especially on Fanduel. The young man has one goal, three assists and eight shots in his last three games and he scored a goal and added an assist last night in Boston. I like stacking Point with Kucherov in cash games and the entire line in GPP lineups. The Red Wings are ranked 25th on defense, so roster Point with confidence in all formats.

Stack with: Nikita Kucherov, Ondrej Palat

Also Consider: Joe Thornton - SJ

WINGERS

Conor ShearyConor Sheary FD - $6400 DK - $6700
Opponent - NYI
Proj Pts FD - 15.15 DK - 4.26

Let's pick on another weak defense in the New York Islanders who are ranked 25th in that category. Sheary plays on the #1 line and the  #1 powerplay unit with Sidney Crosby. The Penguins ran into a hot goalie last night in Ottawa, but in the three games before that Sheary had a goal, five assists and eight shots on goal. The Penguins could and should go hog wild tonight on home ice, so deploy Sheary in all formats.

Stack with: Sidney Crosby, Scott Wilson

Anders LeeAnders Lee FD - $5200 DK - $5300
Opponent - PIT
Proj Pts FD - 10.09 DK - 2.9

If we want to take down a large tournament today, we need to to find a guy who won't be popular but has huge upside potential. Enter Lee who plays wth Tavares on the top line and the #1 powerplay unit for the Islanders. The young danish player scored a goal and added a helper against the Rangers last game. Lee isn't safe by any means, but anyone who plays with Tavares has upside on any given day so fire him up in your GPP lineups.

Stack with: John Tavares, Josh Bailey

Also Consider: Jonathan Drouin - TB

DEFENSEMEN

Victor HedmanVictor Hedman FD - $6500 DK - $6900
Opponent - DET
Proj Pts FD - 12.28 DK - 3.69

It's pick on Detroit day and with good reason. Their defense is bad and they've had serious goalie issues for most of the season. Hedman averages around  24 minutes of ice time per game and he plays on the #1 PP unit and plays on the penalty kill as well. He has a goal, two assists and five shots in his last two games and he has seven blocks in his last three games. Like I said earlier, we need heavy exposure to the Lightning and Hedman is an elite play in all formats.

Mark StreitMark Streit FD - $3700 DK - $4000
Opponent - NYI
Proj Pts FD - 9.06 DK - 2.67

Do you think this guy is happy? He's now on a Stanley Cup contending team after he was traded from Philly before the deadline. The Swiss veteran is  hard to ignore at these ridiculously cheap prices. He has an assist, five shots and six blocks in his last two games. I will filling my second defensive spot with Streit in my cash game lineups and you should consider it as well.
