Point Guard/ Shooting Guard

Tyrese Maxey FD - $8200 DK - $6500
Opponent - NY
Proj Pts FD - 39.9 DK - 43.22

De'Anthony Melton FD - $6000 DK - $4400
Opponent - NY
Proj Pts FD - 37.34 DK - 38.23

James Harden is set to miss at least the next month and that’s going to obviously open up a ton of different stuff for the 76ers when it comes to the fantasy department. With Joel Embiid also unlikely to see full run here as he comes back from injury too, we could see massive minutes for both Tyrese Maxey and De’Anthony Melton and huge usage for Maxey in particular. Maxey played 43 minutes last time out against the Wizards and took 20 shots. That was with Harden around. With the latter off the court the shots should be in the mid-20s against the Knicks and his price is a total joke on DraftKings in particular.

Meanwhile, Melton’s fantasy performance has been a bit more variable, but the minutes should be there. Plus, he’s shown the ability to contribute across the stat line throughout his career and that’s carried over to the 76ers. His FanDuel price has come up to the point that it’s at least a question, but I do think he sees enough minutes to make it worth it. The DraftKings price, like we said with Maxey, is a total joke.

Kyle Lowry FD - $6500 DK - $6300
Opponent - IND
Proj Pts FD - 34.21 DK - 37.06

The Heat are going to be without Jimmy Butler again for this game and will get one of the best DFS matchups around against the Pacers. Indianapolis runs the fourth-fastest pace and has the worst defensive efficiency in the league. It doesn’t get much better than that. Lowry is playing major minutes for Miami, having 37 or more in each of the last three games. Without Butler last game, he took his season-high shots with 24 and finished with 22 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. The price hasn’t come up enough on either site and he’s an easy value on this slate.

Strongly consider Max Strus (FD 4800 DK 5200) and Caleb Martin (FD 4700 DK 4700)

Small Forward

Tobias Harris FD - $7400 DK - $5800
Opponent - NY
Proj Pts FD - 36.53 DK - 38.31

When you take a guy like James Harden out of the mix then there is going to be an opportunity for (usually) a few players to open up as values on a certain team. And like we said with Maxey and Melton, it could be more than a few guys if Embiid isn’t 100% here. Harris, like his Philly teammates, is priced way too low on DraftKings and should see at least 34 minutes in this game. He’s taken double-digit shots in seven of Philly’s first nine games and typically has been able to add enough in the rebounding and defensive stat categories to make it work at these prices.

Tyler Herro FD - $7000 DK - $7600
Opponent - IND
Proj Pts FD - 39.2 DK - 43.78

Like we said with Lowry, with Butler out there is more of almost everything to go around and Herro is a primary beneficiary of Miami being without its best player. He played 38 minutes last game and took a team-high 21 shots. Herro finished with 26 points and also added 12 rebounds, a stat he’s significantly improved on this season. He is a high-floor cash play considering the state of Miami right now and they need his offense in a bad way. Plus, as noted, they have about as good a DFS matchup as you can get these days.

If Fred VanVleet is out again then Scottie Barnes (FD 7100 DK 7100) and OG Anunoby (FD 6900 DK 6000) are very much in play.

Power Forward/ Center

Kevin Durant FD - $10400 DK - $10300
Opponent - WAS
Proj Pts FD - 54.3 DK - 57.2M

The Brooklyn Nets are a complete and utter mess right now and Kevin Durant is one of the last guys standing. Kyrie Irving has been suspended. Ben Simmons is injured. The coach has been fired. It’s a disaster. But for fantasy purposes, it’s hard to not see him having to do every single thing for this team against the Wizards and maybe for the foreseeable future (or as long as he’s on the team). He’s averaging 33 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and three blocks+steals a game. His usage is likely to be sky-high though the Wizards will probably throw double teams at him all game. I still think he’s worth running out there mostly because the Nets have almost no one else.

LeBron James FD - $9500 DK - $10700
Opponent - UTA
Proj Pts FD - 51.03 DK - 55.14

The Lakers draw the Jazz on Friday and Lebron is in a great spot here to pile up fantasy points in a big way. The are bringing Russell Westbrook off the bench, something that seems to be working on a team level and Lebron has been able to maintain high enough a fantasy floor this season. His rebounds and assists are actually up this year even if the scoring is down. Part of that is that he’s shooting 23% from three on the season. I do think there's room for growth on these prices for Lebron.

Brook Lopez FD - $6600 DK - $5600
Opponent - MIN
Proj Pts FD - 34.68 DK - 35.01

Lopez is having a bounce-back fantasy season for the undefeated Milwaukee Bucks and is still coming too cheap on DraftKings especially. He’s averaging 14.7 points and 6.9 rebounds, both of which are his highest since his days on the Nets. It’s really something and we can still take advantage of how the Bucks are using him without Khris Middleton in the mix. He makes for a higher floor play in this game especially considering how big the Timberwolves are across the back line. The minutes feel very safe here.
