Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings – Week 5

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings - Week 5 Another week in the books and another 20 point win for Bama. A quarter of the way through the season and it doesn’t look like anyone can stop this Tide from burying college campuses across America. Old Dominion the dragon slayer dropped Virginia Tech in a stunner while Oklahoma escaped a narrow one against Army to keep it’s playoff hopes alive. This week Texas Tech, who has scored 181 points in their last three games including wins over Houston and Oklahoma State, travels to Morgantown to face West Virginia in what is sure to be an excellent game. Duke will look to move to 5-0 with a win over the reeling Hokies. I predict North Texas will finish 14-0 and ranked in the top 25. And lastly, how will the new redshirt rule impact two deeps as players leave their teams and play as graduate transfers next season. Stay strapped in and enjoy the ride, cause we got you covered. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence -Clemson DK 8500 Opponent Syracuse Friday, October 13th, 2017: the scoreboard reads 27-24 and the game clock reads zeros. Down goes Frazier and Syracuse upsets #2 Clemson in a thriller. Something tells me even Dabo Swinney’s dog circled this one on the calendar. Lawrence will be making his first start after taking over for Kelly Bryant last week against Georgia Tech. Lawrence responded by chucking four touchdowns on just 18 pass attempts. Through four weeks, both quarterbacks have played in each game, but Trevor has largely outplayed Bryant and is tied for the ACC lead with nine touchdown passes on just 60 attempts, good for a ridiculous 15% touchdown rate. Keep in mind Bryant is 16-2 as a starter if that tells you anything about the talent Lawrence possesses. Swinney has already named Lawrence the starter for Saturday, but has not clarified Bryant’s new role or if he will play. There are mumblings that Bryant will redshirt and play as a graduate transfer next season, which would cement Lawrence as the top play on the board. Syracuse is allowing 13 points per game over its last three games. They were all against inferior opponents who didn’t want revenge. Dabo wants to unleash his new weapon and pile it on to make amends for last year’s blunder. Clemson wins big and Lawrence has a career day. Update: Kelly Bryant has announced he is transferring.  Tua Tagovailoa -Alabama DK 9000 Opponent Louisiana Immense upside with little downside. Alabama has been absolutely dominating teams and looks every bit of continuing their dynasty over college football. We are yet to see a full game out of...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings – Week 4

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings - Week 4 Week 3 is in the books so let’s go through a quick recap to see what we can glean from the results. Florida State really is that bad after nearly getting shut out at Syracuse and the days of Bowden are a distant memory. Ohio State avoided a scare at TCU, Hawaii can be slowed down, and Alabama looks as dominant as ever. This Saturday is sure to be just as action packed with a stacked schedule of great matchups. Last week, Texas Tech won a track meet with 112 total points scored and now travel to Oklahoma State. We also have a double upset special with Nebraska taking on Michigan and Wisconsin trying to avoid a two-game losing skid at Iowa. So let’s get after it Quarterback Anthony Brown -Boston College DK 9200 Opponent Purdue Boston College is largely known for playing good defense and running the ball. Well, times are starting to change in good ole Chestnut Hill, MA. I wouldn’t say Brown is currently on the short list of many NFL scouts, but at this level, playing teams not named Alabama, he’s pretty good. Last week on national television Brown lit up Wake Forest’s secondary to the tune of 304 yards and five touchdowns. On the season Brown has passed for 626 yards and nine touchdowns to zero interceptions. Now he faces a Purdue team that hasn’t been able to stop anyone all season. Purdue will have to pay special attention to AJ Dillon so Brown should get plenty of one on one coverage schemes. He’s not my favorite play on the board, but I really like the concept of pairing him with AJ DIllon in what should be a high scoring affair. Will Grier -West Virginia DK 10500 Opponent West Virginia Grier is pricey, but it’s doable depending on how you structure lineup at the other positions. Even at this price, it’s hard to argue the floor that comes with the hefty salary. Grier is essentially a lock for 300 yards passing and multiple touchdowns. I highlighted Grier in Week 1, largely due to the certainty he offers and he delivered with 429 yards and five touchdowns against what seems to be a fairly solid Tennessee defense. Last week in a rout against Youngstown State he still went for 332 and four touchdowns. West Virginia seems fairly committed to utilizing the strength of their passing attack regardless of game flow. In other words, they like to air it out even when winning by a large margin. Kansas State is far from its glory days when Darren Sproles ran wild and their...

START YOUR FREE TRIAL Quick Picks McKenzie Milton -UCF DK 10500 Opponent Florida Atlantic Milton comes in as the most expensive quarterback and also my top cash play. Short slates present unique challenges and advantages when constructing your lineups and with Milton we have a guy with simply too much opportunity to fade in cash games. Milton opened the season by shredding UConn to the tune of 346 yards and five touchdowns. He was uncharacteristically bad against South Carolina State, throwing for less than 250 yards and one touchdown to three interceptions. Last week's game against North Carolina was canceled so Milton and the offense have had two weeks to prepare for FAU. The game has the highest total on the board at 75 (editor's note: up to 77) and UCF has the highest implied total at 44.5 points. The game script is in his favor and Milton is the centerpiece of the offense with considerably more talent at his disposal compared to the Owls defense. After two blowout wins for the Knights we haven’t seen a full game of production out of Milton. If FAU can score a little and hang around, Milton may break the slate! James Williams -Washington State DK 6300 Opponent USC Love J-Will!! Williams is my top overall play for both cash and GPP formats across the entire slate. The short answer; receptions. The long answer is a bit more involved, but it still centers around the sick reception potential he has compared to the others at his position. Since the arrival of Mike Leach, the Cougars have been known for their Air-Raid offense with very little focus on the running back position. Leach also realizes Williams is his most talented skill position player and getting him the ball will improve his team's chances of success. Through three games J-Will has 18 receptions, which is the 2nd most on the team behind only Davontavean Martin (receiver) with 24, but his six touchdowns are tops on the team. Washington State enters the game as 4 point underdogs with a total sitting at 53. Typically running backs on the road as underdogs are...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings – Week 3 – 9/15/18

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings - Week 3 - 9/15/18 Week 2 is in the books and the college landscape is starting to take shape, sort of. Alabama looks unstoppable (again), Rodney Anderson is out for the year (again), the Aggies should have upset Clemson, and Cole McDonald from Hawaii leads the nation with 13 passing TD’s. There was quite a bit to digest last week with injuries to multiple key players and the constant depth chart shuffle taking place before our eyes. This week is sure to be just as exciting and full of surprises. How will Hurricane Florence impact East Coast games that don’t get canceled? Who does OU turn to in Anderson’s absence? After Florida State looked a little suspect against Samford can they rebound on the road at Syracuse? Can Hawaii keep their high flying offense on track and move to 4-0?  All this and more as I provide my analysis for this Saturday’s main slate. Getting started with DFS college football? We'll have you covered all season long. You can also sign up to access our NFL and MLB projections and lineup optimizers for NFL and MLB. Your subscription will also include access to premium content, our members only chatroom, and more! START YOUR FREE TRIAL Quarterback Cole McDonald Hawaii DK 9,200 Opponent - Army I believe the saying goes, “if it ain't broke don't fix it”. That can certainly be said of Cole McDonald and the Hawaii offense. The Rainbow Warriors have entered each game this year as underdogs, yet they sit at 3-0. This week is no different as they travel to West Point, NY to take on an Army squad as 7pt dogs with a total currently at 62. The line has me a bit confused given Hawaii games have averaged roughly 83 points scored per game and they’re 3-0 with double-digit wins against Navy and Rice (and a nine-point win against Colorado State). Army isn’t the cellar dweller it once was, but they’re far from elite status. Maybe the betting public is buying into the time zone narrative seeing how the game will kickoff at 6am Hawaii time. Either way I’m not concerned about points being scored in either direction. In addition to his gaudy passing numbers (13 TD’s), McDonald also has immense rushing upside, albeit inconsistent, evidenced by his 96 yards and 2 TD’s against Colorado State opening night. Hawaii deploys some version of the run-and-shoot offense which not only is fun to watch but is very advantageous for fantasy production. Many of the routes are option routes that rely on the receiver and quarterback being on the same page in regards to reading the defense. Through...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings – Week 2 – 9/8/18

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings - Week 2 - 9/8/18 Week 1 of the NFL? Who cares. This is Week 2 of college football action and we've got you covered for the main slate of games on Saturday. Getting started with DFS college football? We'll have you covered all season long. You can also sign up to access our NFL and MLB projections and lineup optimizers for NFL and MLB. Your subscription will also include access to premium content, our members only chatroom, and more! START YOUR FREE TRIAL Quarterback Khalil Tate Arizona DK 10,400 Opponent - Hawaii Let's jump right into things with my top QB play and arguably top play on the slate. Tate failed to deliver the goods last week against a stingy BYU front and I really hope people are scared off from last week’s dud because this is the same dude that ran for over 1400 yards last year. Last week he ran for 14. Houston’s defense looked very suspect against an inferior Rice team. Now it’s hard to say if they were just asleep at the wheel, but Vegas doesn’t think so by tabbing this game with a total of 71. Both teams run a fast-paced offense with plenty of talent at the skilled positions. If things are clicking this game could easily push the total by the 3rd quarter. Like last week, I prefer spending at QB opposed to other positions and Tate is a great place to dump salary. He is the center of the Arizona offense and I wouldn’t let last week be a concern. Tate is the quintessential cash play QB with his dual-threat ability, but there is plenty of upside to roster him across all formats. Dwayne Haskins Ohio State DK 10,800 Opponent - Rutgers I do think more people will play Haskins and I will certainly have my own exposure, but it's all for good reason. He’s not quite the runner like Tate, but he plays on a much better team with a much better offense. The Buckeyes dropped an eye-popping 77pts last week. That’s double 7s people! You could also say that's 11 touchdowns, of which Haskins threw 5. Ohio State has talent for days and is likely to drop 50+ again this Saturday. That total could creep up if the holes in OSU’s defense we saw last week don’t get fixed. Oregon State gashed them on the ground for 200+ yards and the Buckeyes allowed long touchdowns of 49, 78, and 80 yds. Regardless if OSU fixes their defense I fully expect their offense to score plenty making Haskins one of the safer players on the board. Sidenote: Urban Meyer has been coaching...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings – Week 1 – 9/1/18

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for DraftKings - Week 1 - 9/1/18 Holy cow, has it even set in yet that college football is just back on DraftKings? I honestly never thought we'd see the day where Saturdays in the fall were back to sweating out our favorite NCAA plays on the gridiron. But here we are. We are back handing out plays for the biggest slates on Saturday and wading through a sometimes enormous player pool. We've got you covered for CFB on DraftKings for Week 1. Getting started with DFS college football? We'll have you covered all season long. You can also sign up to access our NFL and MLB projections and lineup optimizers for NFL and MLB. Your subscription will also include access to premium content, our members only chatroom, and more! START YOUR FREE TRIAL Quarterback Will Grier West Virginia DK 10,500 Opponent - Tenn Grier comes into the season as an experienced redshirt senior who is currently in the discussion for the nation's best quarterback.  That’s the kind of certainty I like entering Week 1 of an extremely fluid college landscape.  In addition to Grier being an NFL-quality quarterback, he has a plethora of talent around him in returning starting receivers Sills V, Jennings, and Simms. Coming off a season where he threw for almost 3500 yards and 34 TD's, I fully expect him to pick up where he left off. The Vols weren’t very good at defending the pass last year and at times downright dreadful.  New Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt, who earned his stripes a Defensive Coordinator for GA, Bama, and FSU, has devoted much of his time this fall to coaching up the defense and specifically the secondary.  Pruitt deploys an aggressive press coverage and has vowed he won't change now that he's in Tennessee. That sounds good and all, but they won't be ready Week 1 for arguably the best passing offense in the land. The game is being played in Charlotte, NC. with WVU as a 10 point favorite and a total hovering around 61.  I think Tennessee's offense will surprise a bit here and push the game flow ultimately leading to more offense for both teams.  Grier could have been the highest priced QB on the slate so I'm happy to spend roster him at a slight discount.  WG is dollars well spent! Jordan Ta'amu Ole Miss DK 9,900 Opponent - Texas Tech Almost everything I said above is basically true here as well, but for a few bucks less.  Ta'amu has quite a ways to match the sheer talent of Grier, but he checks just about every other box.  His core group of receivers return from last...
