Drew Brees We were sitting around waiting and waiting for Drew's touchdown production to begin mirroring the other efficiency he was showing in the passing game. It sure seemed like he was running bad and it sure seemed like we were right. Brees has thrown eight touchdowns over his last two games. Last time he did five without having to worry about all those pesky yards and the dude regressed toward his own mean in a hurry. I don't think he's a favorite to throw five again of course, but 3-4 are totally in play considering the Saints in the red zone and the Panthers being just an average team against the pass. Brees' accuracy is the big story here as he's completing more than 70% of his passes on the season. Put the ball on point enough and it'll find the end zone. Russell Wilsom Things I don't love about Wilson: he's only thrown 15 touchdown passes total this season which has him in a tie for a coo 15th in the league in that category. So no, from that angle it seems weird to get in on the guy this week. What is to like is just how much the Eagles let up through the air, ranking 25th in the league in total yards allowed through the air this season. They also rank 28th in the league in passing touchdowns allowed. This is what happens when you play a wide open style of offense and the other team's offense gets on the field a ton. That's what I'm shooting for with Wilson. He's an against the grain pick in this format simply because the big boys throw so damn...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks Week 13 – ScoreStreak

Daily Fantasy Football Picks Week 13 - ScoreStreak Looking for our picks for traditional salary cap leagues like FanDuel, Draftster, and Draftkings? Check out our Week 13 picks article and our Week 12 NFL Podcast DFSR has partnered with ScoreStreak: a new, innovative style of DFS play. Now go get that deposit bonus.   Passing Touchdowns Drew Brees Peyton Manning Andrew Luck I know it’s a little chalk-y to throw these three guys out there (Brees aside I suppose) but there is something to be said for playing the best arms in pass-heavy offenses. Why get away from what works? Why get cute? ScoreStreak lends itself to chalk plays. It’s what makes you money in this format. In fact, I would say that by and large rolling with the very best at a particular position in a particular category is such a positive expectation, that getting away from it my cost you profit. Brees is a guy our system has been on for awhile who seemed to be running bad in the touchdown department. His completion rate, and number of passing attempts per game just seemed to suggest that the touchdowns would come. They did (and the yards as well) against the Ravens on Monday night. As far as Manning and Luck are concerned, they just throw so much in the red zone that the touchdown expectations will just always be there on a week-to-week basis. When you provide that much opportunity down and in the TDs will come at a rate that puts them near the top of the leader board every single week.   All-Purpose Yards Le’Veon Bell For me, Bell is the easy choice to top the all-purpose yards this week. So many factors are lining up for him to pile of the production. He's a cog in the Steeler offense in that they will feed him the ball twenty times in the ground game as well as 7-8 targets per game in the passing game. The Saints are in the bottom third of the league defending both the pass and the run. That bodes well for the kind of volume Bell will need to hit...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks Week 8 – ScoreStreak

Now go get that deposit bonus and enter to win a Tesla!   Passing Touchdowns Aaron Rodgers There are a few factors having me lean towards Rodgers this week for the top tier of passing touchdowns. This game against the Saints has, by far, the highest O/U of the week at 55 and it’s a pick’em. A ton of points are projected to go up for this game. Rodgers has been victimized a bit this season simply because the Packers get up a bunch early and don’t need to throw anymore. So, in some ways, his numbers look a little lighter than what they could be if the other teams could hang at all with Green Bay. The other reason I’m loving Rodgers’ opportunity this week has to do with what the Packers do when they get down around the red zone. On the season they pass 63% of the time. And when they get closer, like within the 10 yard line, it jumps up to passing 73% of the time. This is the highest in the league by a fair margin. It’s a byproduct of having one the NFL’s best receivers in Jordy Nelson and a damn good one in Randall Cobb. Look for Rodgers to chuck all day long in this game and slot him in for the upper tier of TDs. Andrew Luck It really doesn’t make me feel great going chalk all the way, and I get away a little from it later on in these picks, but there really is no reason to get away from Luck on Sunday. With Manning, Rivers, Stafford and Ryan already having played (not that I loved any of them more than Luck per se) few pass heavy offenses are going by the time we reach the regular schedule of games. Luck has at least three passing touchdowns in four of his...

Now go win that Tesla!   QB Touchdowns Peyton Manning If you checked in with our week 5 scorestreak picks, you read this about Peyton Manning: A very interesting week to pick touchdowns. I'm finally admitting defeat when it comes to trying to get a 4 TD game out of Drew Brees, so I'm sliding one Peyton Manning Sr. into this spot. Here's the case: Genius Manning has had 2 weeks to prepare for a Cardinals team that is about league average against the pass and dominant against the run. With Montee Ball struggling, I think this is the week Peyton and company come out with a vintage 40 point performance where Demaryius Thomas is flexing his biceps while Peyton points to him determinedly. Is it nice to be able to read articles written by someone who can predict the future? What's that you say? I've screwed up like all of my other QB touchdown picks? Well, leave me alone. Where was I? Right. Touchdowns. Basically nothing has changed for Manning this week. Montee Ball got injured, presumably making the Denver rushing game less enticing, and the Jets are put together much in the same way the Cardinals are defensively. Back to back huge games from Manning here - count on it. Jay Cutler The second QB slot was a lot trickier, for me. I turn to Cutler because he's up against the porous Atlanta defense, but there's actually more to it than that. The Bears have thrown the ball in the red zone a staggering 75% of the time they've been down there this season, and Forte's usage in the passing game seems to be essentially replacing the Chicago run game. With 2 great...

With Montee Ball struggling, I think this is the week Peyton and company come out with a vintage 40 point performance where Demaryius Thomas is flexing his biceps while Peyton points to him determinedly. Drew Brees I just can't quit you, Drew. I swear, this is the very last time I'm listing Brees in a touchdown article if he doesn't come through for at least 3 against the Bucs. I actually typed in 4 other names before saying to myself, "Can I really recommend this guy over Drew Brees?" The answer, friend, is no. Brees heads back to the Super Dome to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who even in a win gave up a billion fantasy points to Ben Roethlisberger's significantly less potent passing attack. If it doesn't happen this week I'll finally concede. But man, it really looks like it's going to happen this week.   All purpose yards Whew, here's a category we crushed last week, handing you Matt Forte and Demarco Murray. Let's take a look at this week's selections: Le'Veon Bell Bell has put up more than 100 all purpose yards every game this season, and that's including teams who actually field 11 players on defense. In week 5 he'll face the Jaguars, who have allowed the most passing yards and...
