Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 8 After a great weekend here at DFSR, we're riding high, and ready to bring you more winning plays for week 8. We managed to fade Zeke (even after recommending him, woops!), tapped into an underowned Latavius Murray, got some help from the Colts, and outpaced the FanDuel cash game line by nearly 30 points. We can't get too carried away by a good early start to a too-short NFL season, but we're feeling confident that we've got our fingers on the pulse of this NFL season. As for week 8, we finally have most of the high total games on the main slate, so theoretically writing this article should be a hair easier than usual. But are things ever that easy? Let's read on and find out. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL optimizer for FanDuel and DraftKings, our MLB Optimizer, and our NFL Player Lab! We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Jameis Winston FD 7800 DK 6000 Opponent CIN Proj Points FD - 22.54 DK - 23.26 I don't know what to tell you other than Winston is still too cheap. We're fresh off another week where Winston handily paid these prices, and that's in spite of throwing for 365 yards without a single passing touchdown. Winston did punch one in on the ground (even better for us), and finished the game with 22 fantasy points. All signs are pointed in a position direction for Winston right now. He carried the ball 10 times for 55 yards, and if he will run anything like those numbers going forward we're looking at a built in 4-6 fantasy points per game. The rest of the Tampa Bay running game is in full on shambles, and we could very well see Winston get the Cam Newton treatment, becoming the de facto inside-the-five back even more than he already is. The passing is still totally tolerable, and if the touchdowns come around he'll be worth 10% more than these prices. Vegas is a believer here as well - this game has the 3rd highest total, and the two games above it (the KC and LAR games) carry serious blowout risk. We might get some serious Jameis chalk this week. Andy Dalton FD 7800 DK 6200 Opponent TB Proj Points FD - 21.9 DK - 21.66 This looks a little weird, because Jameis is in the same...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 7

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 7 Back-to-back weeks where I write the football picks? Why should you be so blessed? With NBA season back and ready to fire on all cylinders, it's an all hands on deck situation here at DFSR. Last week was a funny one - we hit on some high value targets, and had some notable misses as well (like Jameis on DK but not on FD). But that's the nature of DFS, and we're back to the grind and ready to turn in a winner for week 7. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL optimizer for FanDuel and DraftKings, our MLB Optimizer, and our NFL Player Lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NFL? Be sure to read our free MLB and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Jameis Winston FD 7800 DK 6300 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 21.24 DK - 21.11 Jameis was the chalk quarterback play in Week 6 and didn’t disappoint. He led all QBs in fantasy scoring with 395 yards and 4 touchdowns through the air. He also picked up 31 more on the ground in the loss to the Falcons. He doesn’t get quite the same matchup against the Browns this week, but Tampa Bay still comes in with the third-highest implied total of the main slate (26.25) as three-point home favorites against the Browns. It’s tough to imagine the Bucs getting all that much going on the ground and should have to rely on Winston’s arm (and legs) throughout. In his first 1.5 weeks back since the suspension, Jameis has completed 75% of his passes which makes the four interceptions look a lot more like bad luck than bad decision-making. That number should come down and we could see Winston as a chalk QB play again on the main slate. Cam Newton FD 8200 DK 5900 Opponent PHI Proj Points FD - 21.5 DK - 22.81 He’s probably a little too expensive on FanDuel, but the sub-6K tag on DraftKings looks solid for Cam even facing off against the Eagles. From a cash game perspective, he has such a high floor. Through the first five games, he’s rushed less than eight times only once and is averaging 9/42 on the ground this season. He’s the top running quarterback and it isn’t all that close. Those running numbers do help make up for the fact that he hasn’t been a prolific passer (and probably never will be). But he’s still averaging 231 yards...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 6

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 6 You had to wait until week 6, but with Doug off this week, you're finally getting a set of James football picks! Will I turn out to be a Foles-like fill-in, or will it be more like Josh Rosen! Either way, it should be delicious, so read on and find out! Quarterback Matt Ryan FD 8300 DK 6800 Opponent TB Proj Points FD - 23.76 DK - 24.16 No sport plays tricks on my statistical mind quite like football. You see, football has been back long enough that it seems like we should be looking at a pretty good sample size of games to work with, right? I mean, these teams have played more than a quarter of their games! That's like 50 baseball games, or 25 basketball games! Except, it just isn't. Ultimately, the sample size Gods don't care how long the football season is - 4 or 5 games just isn't many games of something. So you're probably thinking - "This guy went to all this length to tell me we shouldn't trust Matt Ryan's hot start?" Actually, no. I'm here to tell you the opposite. While a four or five game sample won't mean much when it comes to certain metrics, say, receiving yards per game for a wide receiver, it IS enough to tell us a lot about a player's DFS viability. If you're a long-term reader of our site, you'll know that the major thing we consider when it comes to DFS value is simply opportunity - determining how often a player will get to contribute and how good his opponent is will tell you a whole lot about whether you should consider him or not. In the case of Ryan, all signs are pointing in a positive direction. For most of Ryan's career, he topped 600 attempts per season, but in the last two years he averaged just 532 (or about 33 attempts per game). For whatever reason, the Falcons went away from the Ryan/Julio combo and decided to lean on their two-headed running attack. With Freeman hurt to start the season, Ryan came out with guns blazing, and importantly, those guns stayed blazing with Freeman's return last week. So far, Ryan has...
