Quarterbacks Russell Wilson FD 8400 DK 7000 Opponent ATLProj Points FD - 21.63 DK - 21.86Wilson comes out of the gate playing in the game with the second-highest total (49) on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. He’ll get dome conditions against the Falcons who ranked 21st in defensive DVOA against the pass in 2019. Wilson threw for the sixth-most yards in the NFL last season despite attempting about 100 or more fewer passes than anyone else in the group above him. His passing yards and passing touchdowns per attempt were easily the best in the league. He loses Doug Baldwin, and the Seahawks still love to run the ball, but Wilson is just so damn efficient, throwing only five interceptions last season while ranking sixth in quarterback rushing yards. It will cost you, but he’s about as safe as it comes. Teddy Bridgewater FD 6800 DK 5900 Opponent LVProj Points FD - 18.59 DK - 19.25Bridgewater will take over behind center for the Panthers this season after Cam Newton and Kyle Allen have departed the team. Bridgewater walks into an advantageous situation with the best pass-catching running back in McCaffery along with a full complement of wide receiver weapons in DJ Moore, Curtis Samuel, and the newly-acquired Robby Anderson. Bridgewater started five games for the Saints last season in place of an injured Drew Brees and was effective, completing almost 70% of his passes with a 9:2 TD:INT rate. Sure, he has Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara there as well, but the accuracy has never been an issue even back to his time in Minnesota. This game has the fourth-highest total of the main slate with the Panthers 3-point home dogs to the Raiders. I love the price on Bridgewater here in what should be a close game. Carson Wentz FD 7700 DK 6300 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 19.59 DK - 20.02 Wentz has to be one of the most slept on quarterbacks in the NFL. No, he hasn't turned into a Russell Wilson/Lamar Jackson/Deshaun Watson type, but he's still awfully good. In his last five games last season...

We've got you completely covered. Melvin Gordon FD 7400 DK 6600 Opponent DEN Proj Points FD - 15.23 DK - 16.65 Despite missing three games to end the season, Gordon still finished 2016 as a top 10 overall fantasy running back thanks to close to 20 carries and 4.5 targets per game. Only David Johnson, Le’Veon Bell and Ezekiel Elliott saw more per game volume than Gordon and he comes into 2017 with a clean bill of health and his role in the offense solidified. Denver was a top defense last season, but it’s worth noting they were significantly worse against the run than the pass. In fact, Denver ranked 28th in league allowing an average of 130 yards per game on the ground. He’s not available on the main slate, but I really like Gordon as a GPP play for the full week’s slate and definitely looking ahead the shorter Monday set of games. Dalvin Cook FD 6500 DK 5900 Opponent NO Proj Points FD - 12.69 DK - 14.62 Rookie running backs are one of the hardest positions to prognosticate on early in the season. Coach-speak and preseason usage are rarely fantastic ways to decipher what a rookie’s workload will look like once the games actually start in earnest. Cook enters the season as the Vikings’ starting running back though a healthy Latavius Murray waiting in the wings does have me a little concerned about how many touches Cook sees early in the season. The Vikings are -3.5 favorites over New Orleans who ranked dead last in non-weighted DVOA last season though it should be said they were better defending the run than the pass. But, they weren’t good against either. The Vikings ranked near the bottom of the league in rushing attempts last season (24 runs per game average) though that could be a chicken/ egg thing considering the bodies they...

DraftKings Billion Dollar Contest – Looking back at 2016’s Perfect NFL Lineups

DraftKings Billion Dollar Contest - Looking back at 2016's Perfect NFL Lineups The first daily fantasy sports billionaire? Could it happen Week 1 of the NFL season? It’s unlikely to happen(like crazy, lottery ticket style unlikely) but DraftKings is giving someone the shot with it’s NFL Week 1 Billionaire Maker Free Roll. If you draft the perfect lineup, they best possible combination of players then you’re on your way to rarified rich air. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. DraftKings is heavily insured (4 different companies taking a piece of that action, and likely the big winners in this whole thing). But to quote Lloyd Christmas, “So you’re telling me there’s a chance”. In order to prep for the Billy-Maker, I went back and looked at 15 weeks of perfect lineups from DraftKings’ main slates last season. Why fifteen weeks? Well week 16 was the weird Christmas weekend and I kind of ran out of steam after that. Let’s take a look at 15 weeks of truly optimal DraftKings’ NFL lineups and see some of the takeaways. WEEK 1 WEEK 2 WEEK 3 WEEK 4 WEEK 5 WEEK 6 WEEK 7 WEEK 8 WEEK 9 WEEK 10 WEEK 11 WEEK 12 WEEK 13 WEEK 14 WEEK 15 The things that immediately jumped out to me (and would love to know the things I missed, leave a comment): - Every week but one included a QB/ WR or QB/ TE stack. Week 2 saw the rare QB/WR/TE stack with Newton, Benjamin/ Olsen. Colin Kaepernick was the only "naked" QB in Week 12. - 10 of the 15 weeks had less than $1500 leftover in salary. This strikes me as lineups with the maximum points will often (but not always) trend toward full utilization of the salary cap. - Week 9 left major money on the table with topping out at $41,800. That's $8,200 leftover. If you had the balls to make that lineup, then kudos. - T.Y. Hilton and Golden Tate appeared the most of any WR at 3 times each. - David Johnson and Ezekiel Elliott were the most of any RB at 3 times each. DJ's came a crazy three weeks in a row. - Trevor Siemian made it twice! - The Flex position was pretty much split between RBs (7 times) and Pass catchers (8 times). What other things...
