Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 12/23/18 It's a legitimately massive day of NBA basketball today in advance of Monday's day off. We have a number of superstars going today, a few huge totals, and interestingly, a sea of games that are totally meaningless. Let's get to it. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Point guard Point guard is really tricky today, actually. It might lend itself more to a longer discussion rather than any specific picks, because there are a few things to look at here. Let's give you a few tiers to look at. De'Aaron Fox FD - $8200 DK - $7700Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 40.66 DK - 40.51 Kris Dunn FD - $7500 DK - $7200Opponent - CLEProj Pts FD - 37.07 DK - 37.96 Kyrie Irving FD - $9400 DK - $9000Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 45.68 DK - 46.35 The expensive guys who you may or may not be able to prioritize. They are all in very similar situations here. All three have great match-ups, and while all three are candidates to lose their minutes in games that get out of hand (for various reasons, depending on which team you are looking at), but that should be less of a concern here. Irving's a 7 point favorite, but the other two are in games with 1 point spreads. The Cleveland/Chicago game has one of the lower totals on the slate, but Dunn has paid 5x points per dollar on these prices in each of the three games that he played his full run of minutes since returning from injury. Fox has been on a tear recently, and he'll get a Pels team that has allowed the third most fantasy points per game to opposing PGs this season. This issue is not that you don't have solid options at point guard today, it's that these guys are all pretty much the same. I suppose I'd recommend Hield and Dunn here, but I don't feel any sense of conviction. Tyler Johnson FD - $4200 DK - $5300Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 22.32 DK - 22.47 Collin Sexton FD - $4700 DK - $4800Opponent - CHIProj Pts FD - 28.53 DK - 30.1 Ryan Arcidiacono FD - $3900 DK - $3800Opponent - CLEProj Pts FD - 23.31 DK - 23.75 The cheap and speculative guys. Tyler...

We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Fred Vanvleet FD - $5800 DK - $5900 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 30.38 DK - 31.1 Welcome to NBA Saturday! We have games scattered across the entire day, but have games to look at on the main slate. There is plenty of news to look for and we'll dive into a few different scenarios. Most of the news we're looking at is from Toronto. Kyle Lowry, Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green, and Serge Ibaka are likely out. Valunciunas is definitely out. If all four of those guys sit, there will be immense value on this Raptors team. The Sixers are a friendly match-up in general and this game will stay close, no matter who is active. Fred Vanvleet is one of the easiest plays on the entire slate and guaranteed to hit value if Lowry misses the game. He will play 30-35 minutes and has no problem being "the guy". He can put up 40 fantasy points again and nobody will blink an eye. John Wall FD - $10000 DK - $8900 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 51.47 DK - 53.07 If you insist on paying up at point guard, the optimizer is a huge fan of John Wall. He's always a bit up and down, but definitely prefers playing at home and gets to face a faster pace Suns squad. We know he's going to play his 35 minutes as long as tit stays close and he'll have the ball in his hands all day long. His price is definitely up there, but that's because he'll typically play well in good match-ups. You'll have the funds to pay up tonight and it really just depends on who you want to pay for. Personally, I like spending down at point guard, but that's only because of the strong value. Let's get to another guy who you can easily rely on to reach value in all formats. Tyler Johnson FD - $4200 DK - $5100 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 27.58 DK - 27.8 Johnson is still wildly cheap around the industry and is going to see 30+ minutes in this game assuming it stays close. He’s the...

We've got you completely covered. What We Know Trevor Ariza is expected to start against the Mavericks tonight Ariza was active last game, but didn't play a minute. Prior, he played 39 and 33 minutes. The coaching staff has already said it was for precautionary reasons on the second leg of a back to back. He should be right back to his full complement of minutes and this match-up is solid. He's been playing bigger minutes since the trade rumors and the Suns may be showing the league the asset they have. I actually like him a lot against a Mavs team that is susceptible on the perimeter. He's cheap enough in all formats. Brandon Knight is expected to return tonight against the Lakers This is a lot bigger news to me than I think most are taking it. I personally think Brandon Knight is going to play a big role in the Rockets catching their footing. He gives them a legitimate scorer and ball-handler off the bench that can play 25-30 minutes and put up a fantasy point per minute. In his first game back, I doubt he gets more than 20-25 minutes. If he does get 20 minutes, he's at least interesting at minimum price. Gerald Green and Danuel House should lose a few minutes. Dirk Nowitzki will play for the first time this season against the Suns tonight Who knows, maybe he comes out and plays 25 minutes. I doubt it. I more so expect 15 or so minutes, which nowhere near enough when he's not even close to minimum. I don't have interest in any of these Mavericks bigs tonight, including Dirk. What We're Waiting to Know Dennis Smith Jr., J.J. Barea, and Maxi Kleber are all questionable to play against the Suns This game starts at 10:30 on the west coast, so we probably won't know what's going on until well after lock. With Dirk Nowitzki expecting to make his return tonight, I don't see much opportunity with any of the big men. As for Barea and DSJ, I'll stay away if either of them play. If both are out, Jalen Brunson will get a ton of run and be in play in all formats. Wesley Matthews would also be in line to receive...

We've got you completely covered. What We Know John Wall is probable to return tonight against the Celtics Things have been pretty weird in Washington with Wall. He's missed two of the last three games and played just 26 minutes in the game he did participate in. With that being said, he's supposedly good to go tonight. If he's a full go, he's at least interesting against Kyrie and the Celtics. If Wall happens to miss, it'll be Satoransky and Beal that benefit most. Tristan Thompson has been ruled out for 2-4 weeks This is a tough one for a Cavs team that just doesn't do much or have much at this point. Larry Nance Jr. is always a guy we pay attention to, but hasn't been playing huge minutes lately. With this news, it's safe to project him for 32+ minutes and 30+ fantasy points. Ante Zizic will also pick up some minutes, and he could easily see 20, but its tough to trust a guy that's been a DNP-CD. He's a tournament play at best. With Nance moving to the 5, Blossomgame could also pick up some minutes if the Cavs go small. All in all, Nance is the easy play and everyone else comes with risk. Maurice Harkless will rest against the Grizzlies Harkless doesn't do much from a fantasy perspective, but he plays a solid amount of minutes. His 25-30 minutes will go to Jake Layman and Evan Turner. Turner is the safe choice and should pick up 30 minutes. Layman is a bit more uncertain, but he's close to minimum priced and could get up to 25 minutes. He's solid when on the floor and has upside at minimum price. What We're Waiting to Know Jimmy Butler is doubtful to play against the Nets All signs are pointing towards Butler taking the night off. This does a lot for the Sixers. Butler obviously takes up a ton of usage, so Simmons and Embiid will ba back to their normal role. I especially think Embiid will shoot a ton. J.J. Redick will also cement his minutes and will always be in play for cash games. Opportunity-wise, Furkan Korkmaz will be the ultimate guy to benefit. He's a solid fantasy point per minute player and could...

We've got you completely covered. What We Know Hassan Whiteside, Devin Booker, Dwight Howard, Brandon Ingram, Dennis Smith Jr. are out These are guys who have been out for a few days or more. We know exactly what to do. If you have any questions, comment down below and I'll get to you immediately! Blake Griffin will sit out for rest purposes against the Sixers They say he's just resting, but he had a big collision with AD last night and is on the second leg of a back to back. I would assume he's not fully 100%. In his absence, there will be a ton to look at. Minutes-wise, Stanley Johnson (if cleared to play) and Jon Leuer will get big bumps. Andre Drummond will also have his minutes cemented over 30. On the usage end, Drummond and RJax are the easy picks. Jackson is one of my favorite plays on the night at his price and I'll have close to 100% of him. Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward, Al Horford, and Aron Baynes will all sit out against the Pelicans A ton of news here. Especially against a Pelicans squad that plays fast and will likely be missing their best defender. Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart are the obvious picks, who will both grab 30+ minutes and easily reach value. Jaylen Brown, Marcus Morris, Daniel Theis, and Jayson Tatum are all elite plays and I'm fine with any of them in cash games or tournaments. There isn't a wrong way to go on this Celtics squad tonight. John Wall is out with a bone spur in his left heel We learned that Wall was sick last game and was absolutely terrible. He probably played the worst game of his career. He'll take a game off here and we know what to do. Satoransky picked up 38 minutes with Wall out last time and almost got to 40 fantasy points. Brad Beal also played 41 minutes and saw a huge usage bump. He put up 55 fantasy points and now sees an even better match-up against the Pacers. The rest of the starters will also pick up some usage, but Beal and Satoransky are the two main appeals. What We're Waiting to Know Anthony Davis is questionable to play...
