I hate almost every guy for some reason or another. I'll give a few guys I hate less than others, but this is a rough position tonight. Emmanuel Mudiay - FD 5200 DK 5300 Opponent - CHI FD Proj. Pts - 27.2 DK Proj. Pts - 28.3 He still has a grip on the majority of the Nuggets' point guard minutes. I'm not expecting that to change. But he's struggled from the field over the last couple of games mostly because he's not that good of a shooter. He'll get to the rack which helps, but from the outside he's a mess. The inconsistent scoring has me worried even if the minutes are right. Because the position is so tough I think I'll end up playing him a lot, but buyer beware if the shot isn't falling. Elfrid Payton - FD 5500 DK 5300 Opponent - LAC FD Proj. Pts - 26.05 DK Proj. Pts - 26.53 Oof, this one doesn't feel great either, but I'm not willing to spend too much more than this price range at PG. Orlando needs to keep this game close and Payton has to stay in Scottie Skiles' good graces. Neither is a lock to happen, but I do think Elfrid and his crazy hair see the requisite amount of run. I don't think he'll kill you at these prices even if he is chasing Paul all over the court. Ish Smith - FD 6700 DK 7100 Opponent - WAS FD Proj. Pts - 30.4 DK Proj. Pts - 31.23 This will be an up and...

We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Now let’s look at some news that’s come in throughout the day to see if anything’s changed in our minds or in the NBA landscape.   What We Know James Johnson is Out This will be the second straight game the wing has missed though I'm not sure it has a ton of fantasy impact. Last game Patrick Patterson saw some increased minutes, as did Terrence Ross. The Raptors spread the love a little too much to hone in on one particular player. Johnson isn't much of a usage guy in the starting five as it is so I don't think this one has much fantasy impact. For tournaments I might take a stab at Ross or Patterson (more on DK than anything else) because there is some sneaky upside if the minutes for either trend toward 30. But by and large I'm ignoring this situation. Terrence Jones is Out He was involved in a car accident on Wednesday and ruled out early because of it. This doesn't have enormous fantasy impact either mostly because his minutes were really all over the place after the arrival of J-Smoove. The Rockets now have redundant assets at the position (from a fantasy perspective that is) and everyone's minutes suffer. Dwight is back and Capela might play. I gave Smoove a bump in our system because, of anyone, he stands to see a tick up in playing time. But even with Dwight out last game, Smith didn't see a ton of extra run. Jose Calderon's Probable With him out of the lineup, Langston Galloway's saw the majority of point guard minutes. But that's over now that Calderon looks like he's coming back. Shots are passed around the Knicks and I am avoiding this situation completely.   What We’re Waiting to Know Will Tyreke Evans Play? This one really has a cascading effect down the Pelicans' lineup....

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot – 1/29/16

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 1/29/16 It's a packed Friday in the NBA, but there's one game standing out from the bunch. The OKC-Houston game features an insane projected total and should be a great one to watch. But there's more out there. Plenty of value for this end of the week. If you want to grab a free trial of the winning projections that inform each and every one of these picks, check out our lineup builder and Google Chrome extension that auto-populates your lineups into FanDuel and DraftKings. While the seasons overlap, you'll get access to our tools for the NBA, NFL, and NHL! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Pts - 27.01 DK Proj. Pts - 27.91 The price is moving up only incrementally and those increments are just too small considering how the Suns are using Goodwin. He's still playing around 30+ minutes a game from the point and been working with a very high floor relative to price. The matchup against Cleveland was a tough one. This one against the Knicks will not be. Chalk-iest of chalk plays on Fanduel. Russell Westbrook - FD 10800 DK 10800 Opponent - HOU FD Proj. Pts - 48.12 DK Proj. Pts - 49.76 I'll get to it more in a little bit, but this is definitely the game to target on the slate. It has an enormous expected point total and Westbrook likely has the highest floor of any player on the slate. If the game is up and down the court (which it sure looks like going in) then this could be an all-Russell type of affair. He isn't the highest points/$ player in our system, but it sure would feel terrible thinking about fading Westbrook in this type of game. I won't call him an automatic start, but with a bunch of other potential savings across the board, it shouldn't be tough fitting that salary. Kemba Walker - FD 8800 DK 8700 Opponent - POR FD Proj. Pts - 40.55 DK Proj. Pts - 42.47 I don't mind Kemba as a way to be a little different on this slate. I think the two guys above are the more popular plays for safety, but Kemba has a great matchup tonight. Damian Lillard is not a good defender and the Blazers have allowed more than league average scoring to the opposing point guard. Kemba...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot – 1/28/16

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 1/28/16 We are used to smaller Thursday slates, but this one has six games and some real interesting matchups to boot. Thursdays tend to be a bit slower on the DFS front, but not this one. Thank goodness. If you want to grab a free trial of the winning projections that inform each and every one of these picks, check out our lineup builder and Google Chrome extension that auto-populates your lineups into FanDuel and DraftKings. Be sure to read our free NBA Ebook on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. POINT GUARD John Wall - FD 9600 DK 9100 Opponent - DEN FD Proj. Pts - 42.46 DK Proj. Pts - 43.67 He's not as strong a Pts/$ play as the guys below, but I see him as a safe commodity on this slate. You can make a case for paying up at point guard considering some of the other savings down the line. Wall's struggled from the floor in three of his last four games after coming off a consistent fantasy run. Look for a bounce back tonight, playing against a Denver team ranking as one of the worst in the league against opposing point guards. Emmanuel Mudiay - FD 5100 DK 5800 Opponent - WAS FD Proj. Pts - 27.83 DK Proj. Pts - 29 This pick is all about minutes and pace. Mudiay is still very much a work in progress, but he stands to see the most minutes out of the one if Jameer Nelson is still on the shelf. He's been scoring more consistently lately, but that's thanks in part to an increase in shot volume. He isn't a great (or really good) shooter, but he'll work driving at the rim or taking some ill-advised threes. I'm mostly looking at the playing time and price, which is still very low. The Wiz are a fast team, leaving plenty of volume for the opponent. Norris Cole - FD 4300 DK 5100 Opponent - SAC FD Proj. Pts - 20.62 DK Proj. Pts - 21.77 Cole has seen a bump in minutes lately because Tyreke's knee's been acting up. It still doesn't seem like the latter is close to 100% and Norris should continue swapping between the one and two depending on the rotations. He isn't a lock at these prices simply because his performances can vary wildly. But with Gordon out, Evans limping and...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot – 1/27/16

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 1/27/16 Writing these up with the Sixers/Suns D-League-ish tilt in the background, I’m reminded that the beauty of DFS is that a point in this game is worth the same as a point in an actual NBA game. Which is great – these Train Wreck franchises (both to a greater or lesser extent due to injury and managerial ineptitude) offer the value opportunities we love. I have significant positions tonight in five guys in this game (mostly a good thing... shoulda’ gone Len over Chandler – see below) But they’re all relatively risky plays, in large part due to the same factors that make them attractive options. I’m about to endorse a host of players coming off this particular back-to-back, but I want to emphasize how crucial it is to confirm injury and other rotational information as close to lineup lock as possible. That said, let’s get to it. So coming off their matchup, let's keep focusing on the Suns and Sixers with a Phoenix & Philly-themed Night POINT GUARD Archie Goodwin - FD 4100 DK 4800 Opponent - CLE FD Proj. Pts - 26.35 DK Proj. Pts - 27.22 PHO/PHI Theme Night, Part 1A Starting NBA PG = DFS points. You don’t need a degree in Aeronautical Engineering to figure this one out. Last night Goodwin went off for 10x value. Despite his skyrocketing price on DK (but not on FD…?), he’s a plug-and-play on both sites until his role changes. No reason to think that’ll be Wednesday. Russell Westbrook - FD 10500 DK 10600 Opponent - MIN FD Proj. Pts - 49.49 DK Proj. Pts - 51.27 “Russ-diculous.” Adj. meaning “To consistently provide 5x value at or above the $10k price point.” When you spend money (which is why we flag low-cost values in the first place), you want to do it safely. Westbrook is high-level production in bubble wrap. Any time the T-Wolves are involved, there’s blowout risk. Unless he gets himself ejected, he’s going to get you 40, even if he only plays 25 minutes. Ish Smith - FD 6900 DK 7400 Opponent...
