GOALIE Jaroslav Halak FD - $8200 DK - $8400 Opponent - NYI Proj Pts FD - 22.46 DK - 16.78 Despite the Bruins struggling lately, Halak sits atop the raw points projections tonight and I have to agree here. He is a part of a 60/40 split with Tuukka Rask and has been the better of the two lately coming off a 31 save win over the Panthers. I am speculating he will start tonight as Rask has allowed 3+ goals against in four straight but either way, both are in good spots here as the Bruins are -150 favorites at home where they have slightly better defensively allowing just 2.4 goals per game. The Isles also fit the splits narrative as they have scored about .8 goals per game less on the road. All things considered, Halak is my top goalie in cash games tonight. Darcy Kuemper FD - $8800 DK - $8200 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 21.21 DK - 15.86 The Wild are another team that has a wide gap when looking at their home/road splits. At home, they are ranked 3rd scoring 3.77 goals per game but on the road, they rank 19th scoring just 2.6 per game. That is good news for the Pacific division-leading Coyotes who are Top 5 defensively no matter where they play. Kuemper is likely to start with Raanta dealing with an illness and that is great news as he has been terrific lately going 6-2-2 in his last 10 games with a .933 save %. Halak is the chalk choice on FanDuel at a $600 discount ut on DraftKings it is dealer choice as both are in play in all formats. Also Consider: David Rittich(CGY) as an upside GPP play CENTERS Mark Scheifele FD - $7600 DK - $7200 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 18.31 DK - 14.17 The Jets are in a great spot tonight as a -190 home favorite in one of two games with a monster 6.5 total. Either goalie hasn't been great lately, but the other options for this slate aren't pretty, to say the least. The Sabres don't really know how to score goals as they're ranked dead last in the league in offense with 2.40 goals per game and they're even worse at home with 2.25 per game. The Capitals are simply on a different level than the Sabres, so on a tiny-slate like this, the Capitals' goalie looks like the best option in all formats. Also Consider: Jaroslav Halak(NYI) GPP formats LATE Pekka Rinne FD - $8800 DK - $8400 Opponent - OTT Proj Pts FD - 20.1 DK - 5.02 I recommended this guy last game and the Predators started their backup, but it looks like they will be going with Rinne today as they are about to face the Senators, who are just plain bad at hockey and they own the league's 24th ranked offense. GOALIE Tuukka Rask FD - $9400 DK - $8300 Opponent - OTT Proj Pts FD - 14.35 DK - 3.59 Let's start this massive slate off with the veteran Finnish tender, who after a rather slow start to the season, has been on absolute fire in the last two months as he is 13-0-2 in his last 15 games. In the month of December, he went 9-0-1 with an unreal .955 save % and a 1.22 GAA, then in January, so far he is 5-0-1 with a .921 save % and a 2.21 GAA. The Bruins and their #1 defense travel to Ottawa to play the Senators, whose offense is ranked 24th and their powerplay unit is ranked 27th overall, and the star goalie has already defeated them twice this season while allowing only one goal and earning a shutout which happened to be in the very same building that they will be in this evening. Even though Rask is on the road, this is one of those circumstances where we just have to hop on board no matter what, so with all of these things considered, he is my top goalie and an elite play in all formats. I just don't get it and this guy has been one of the hottest goalies on the planet recently as he has won his last five starts while earning a 1.33 GAA and an absurd .960 save % during those five games. What makes me like this guy, even more, this evening is the fact that he used to play for the Ducks and he already defeated them once this season while allowing only one goal and that was in Anaheim. I expect the Avalanche to be moderate home favorites when it's all said and done and with all of these things considered, Bernier is an elite play and my top goalie in all formats. The young Russian tender earned a shutout last game to give him two in his last five, he has won seven of his last eight games and is ranked first with 23 wins, second with a 2.13 GAA and second with a .932 save %. It should be a routine walk in the park for the Lightning tonight as the Canadiens and their 25th ranked offense travel to Tampa where they historically do not fare well and they are losing in Carolina as I write this. With all of these important things considered, Vasilevskiy is an elite play and easily my top goalie in all formats. Frederik Andersen FD - $8600 DK - $8400 Opponent - ARI Proj Pts FD - 14.67 DK - 3.67 This guy will be licking his chops this evening as he and the Leafs travel to the desert to take on the Coyotes and their second-worst offense. The veteran tender has had a solid year so far as he is ranked third in the league with 19 wins and he has won his last two games while allowing only three goals, and he has won six of his last eight.
