Point Guards

Aaron Brooks - FD 3500 DK 3400 DFSTR 3700
Kirk Hinrich - FD 3500 DK 3000 DFSTR 3400
The Derrick Rose thing is such a f@#$ing bummer. It really is. I don't have anything else to say about it. We never root for injuries in any circumstances, but just analyze how it effects the general landscape. Brooks and Hinrich both stand to see big minutes and usage increases (Brooks more than Hinrich) and are coming at the minimums. I'll take Brooks first even if he is coming off the bench, but both of these guys now make for fantastic punt plays.

Mo Williams - FD 5400 DK 5600 DFSTR 4900
He's taken over the reins of the Bobcats and is getting all of the point guard minutes he can handle right now. Mo ran 38 minutes in each of the last two games and there's no reason to suspect the minutes will decrease that much. The Hornets have limited options in that role and he should continue seeing the rock. Not the greatest matchup in the world against the Bulls, but the price hasn't corrected to fit his new role.

Ricky Rubio - FD 6900 DK 7000 DFSTR 5200
It looks like he is fully recovered from his early season injury and the T-Wolves are fine with him running the full scope of the offense for much of the game. He plays 39 and 37 minutes respectively over the last two games averaging a 12/8/10 in that run. This is all to say: he's back.

Isaiah Canaan - FD 3500 DK 3500 DFSTR 3000
He isn't good. We know this. So did the Rockets. I suspect the Sixers know this as well, and that's why they are playing him so much. Canaan is the de facto point guard now that Philly has cut Tim Frazier (who also stinks). Now it's all Isaiah and he should see every minute from the point. Again, he isn't good, but the opportunity is there and I'm not as concerned with him losing any minutes because of a blowout (which will happen).

Langston Galloway - FD 5400 DK 5400 DFSTR 5000
No more Melo and the Knicks are in dire need of anyone to put the ball in the basket on any given night. Galloway has been playing major minutes in the last two and think that'll continue for the foreseeable future. He's definitely shooting enough to keep his floor high on any given night because presumably the volume will outstrip any of his shooting woes.

Chris Paul - FD 10000 DK 10200 DFSTR 8100
Still very much in play as long as Blake is on the shelf.

Consider Goran Dragic and Tony Parker

Shooting Guards

Eric Bledsoe - FD 8400 DK 7900 DFSTR 7500
The Suns backcourt has thinned out some, leaving more room for Bledsoe (and now Brandon Knight) to take control of the ball. He jacked up 18 shots last game against a bad Boston defense. Tonight he'll get the Nuggets who aren't much better. They are worse against shooting guards, but Bledsoe is playing a hybrid role so it's tough to pin down his exact position. Neverthless, he's in a solid spot here with a usage rate that's sure to climb some with Dragic and Thomas gone.

Tyreke Evans - FD 8100 DK 8100 DFSTR 6500
His usage gets such a healthy jump when Davis is out of the lineup and the with Anderson gone as well, the Pelicans have very few scoring options. Evans controls much of the pace of the game for New Orleans and you are getting a point guard in the shooting guard position (except on DraftKings). The assists are what carry the day for Evans as he does end up distributing in the offense. And if he can get the scoring going then he does have the ability to put up a monster. The Nets are not a good squad and he should be able to get to the rim as well.

Giannis Antetokounmpo - FD 6400 DK 7300 DFSTR 5200
The minutes have dropped some in the short term, but that's only from a crazy run of games in the high 30's. Now he's simply playing normal starter minutes and those are more than enough in a game against Philly. Giannis has had a couple of rough shooting games in the last three but the shots have been there. That's a good sign especially against a Philly squad getting brutalized by opposing twos. Tough to know exactly what to make of the Bucks team with MCW at the helm, but Giannis has a skillset that doesn't totally rely on scoring so I'm no so worried about him falling off a cliff.

J.J. Redick - FD 4500 DK 4600 DFSTR 4600
Jamal Crawford - FD 5600 DK 5800 DFSTR 5300
They are still two big scoring options on a team that's missing Blake. The minutes for Crawford might be a little variable depending on game flow. But this should be an up and down game against the Rockets with plenty of buckets to go around.

Strongly consider Courtney Lee and Jimmy Butler

Small Forwards

Danilo Gallinari - FD 4000 DK 5000 DFSTR 3700
The Nuggets are a mess for sure. But that's fine because Gallo seems to be in Shaw's favor (for the moment at least) and is seeing run out of the two and three depending on the rotations. He's getting his shot up (averaging 12 shots over the last three) and the minutes are there even in some blowouts. His price tag isn't even close to the point it should be on many sites and he is a top notch cash game play for the amount of upside he has at these prices. No need to over think this one.

Trevor Ariza - FD 5700 DK 5800 DFSTR 5600
Love him in this game. The Clippers have been particularly dreadful against small forwards this season and Ariza should see major minutes in this game. The affair will be high scoring and Ariza adds enough rebounds and steals to go with some scoring that I have no issue at all running him out in cash games. The game log is a little rough to look at, but this is the kind of game in which he should thrive.

Kawhi Leonard - FD 7000 DK 6700 DFSTR 6600
The biggest risk is the minutes. And it's a mighty risk. Kawhi has barely played in the last two games even though one was a closer affair. The minutes are definitely a risk but considering this game is a conference affair against the Blazers, if there was any game he's see the run it's this one. If others are scared off by the variable minutes you can get Kawhi in an underowned situation which could look real good for GPPs. Again, tread lightly because Pop does his thing on the regular. But you could be looking at a high upside move with Leonard.

Tobias Harris - FD 6200 DK 6300 DFSTR 6000
I completely understand that he was an abomination the other night against the Sixers. It was his first game back from injury and it showed. But I'm willing to go back to the well in some spots because the can can play. He has double-double potential. This is another one of those situations where it helps to remove some recent bias against a guy and look at the bigger picture. His price is low and he can fill it up on the right night. GPP play, but a nice one in my opinion.

Power Forwards

Brandon Bass - FD 5000 DK 5600 DFSTR 4600
The price refuses to catch up with him being the starting power forward with no one challenging his minutes. I supposed there could be a small dip when Olynyk comes back, but even then I'm not pivoting off him too much. Bass is averaging a 15/7 with some blocks and steals over his last three and has a definitive role in the offense. I'll be playing him even if the price increases and love his matchup against the Knicks.

Terrence Jones - FD 5600 DK 5700 DFSTR 3000
Got the start last game and showed that he might just stick in that rotation. It'll be interesting to see if he's in the lineup again tonight against the Clippers who are starting two centers in Jordan and Hawes. The Rockets would be going real small, but I think he poses matchup issues and will stay with the first group. He's on a three game tear and the price isn't close it's peak considering he's fully back from injury now.

Zach Randolph - FD 8300 DK 8100 DFSTR 7300
A little pricey but I like the matchup against the Kings who are about league average against power forwards. He's more of a cash game play as the way Memphis uses him on the offense means he'll rarely shoot the moon. But I like the price and there are plenty of nice cheap values today that you can spend up a little here if you're so inclined.

Dirk Nowitzki - FD 6300 DK 6500 DFSTR 6900
Shaky on the back-to-back, especially if the Mavs choose to keep his minutes in check. But he's still coming real cheap compared to what he can give you in a close, high-scoring game. I think the Mavs will want to stay competitive in this one and play Dirk through crunch time.

Markieff Morris - FD 6500 DK 6400 DFSTR 6100
Denver is one of the worst teams in the league at defending the power forward position as they allow worse than league average scoring and rebounding to the position. Markieff is more a feast or famine play so I'm not sure I'd run him out in cash games. He can really go through the roof in the right matchup though.

Consider Derrick Favors

Center

Alex Len - FD 5000 DK 4900 DFSTR 3800
He's the starter now and seeing the right kind of minutes. Len has been averaging a double double over the last three since entering the starting unit and put up an other-worldly 13 blocks in that span. That last number isn't sustainable of course but it's nice to know he can contribute in a myriad of ways. That makes the price very tempting especially against the Nuggets who stink. The floor is very high for Len.

Rudy Gobert - FD 5900 DK 5800 DFSTR 4600
Hope you didn't let one game dissuade you from what this guy is going to do now that Kanter is gone. He's an animal and will continue to get out there with the starters. The Lakers aren't as bad against interior players as they are against the backcourt, but they're still below average. Gobert is coming at a very nice price and the center position is so full of value on this slate.

Hassan Whiteside - FD 7500 DK 7800 DFSTR 4500
Waiting for the ceiling? We aren't there yet. I still think we are getting him at the right price and just need to ensure the minutes are going to be there. He's a per minute beast and if he could ever get out there for around 32 minutes we'd really be in for the ceiling. You can get dusted if he sits for prolonged stretches, though he's played close to thirty minutes in the last two. I love the matchup against Vuce and the Magic as long as Mr. Whiteside can stay out of foul trouble.

Strongly consider Tyler Zeller
