Pitching Targets

Note  - Noah Syndergaard, Vincent Velasquez, and Kenta Maeda were discussed in the main article. Below I will highlight two more options for tonight.

Drew Pomeranz FD 8900 DK 8900
Opponent - COL (Rusin) Park - @SD
FD - 36.52 DK - 19.92

The Padres and Drew Pomeranz are at home tonight to face the Rockies who are struggling after losing two straight and seven of their lats 10 games. Pomeranz has been enjoying his time in the pitcher friendly park this season and has limited the opposition to a .206 wOBA and .143 avg in Petco Park with 20 strikeouts in 17.2 innings with a very impressive .102 ERA. The Rockies are a powerful team but see a drop from a .373 wOBA at home to a below average .307 wOBA on the road while striking out over 23% of the time vs. left handed pitching. He comes in under $9K on both sites and makes an excellent contrarian option tonight.

Francisco Liriano FD 9400 DK 7900
Opponent - LAA (Weaver) Park - @PIT
FD - 34.54 DK - 18.26

Liriano is a pitcher you want to avoid when the Pirates on the road but should be targeted in a big way tonight at home in PNC Park vs. the Angels. Liriano has gone 3-1 in four starts at home with a 1.42 ERA while limiting opponents to a .249 wOBA. On the flip side he is allowing a wOBA of .400 when pitching on the road. While he has struggled with the long ball this season(11 HR in 10 starts) he has only given up one at home. He will face the Angels tonight who have been awful this season vs. southpaws ranking 28th in wOBA(.288) however Liriano's K's could be limited as they Angels have struck out less than 17% of the time vs. LH pitching. You don't need to risk him in cash games but he makes an excellent second pitcher in GPP's on DraftKings or a stand alone option on FanDuel.
