Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks FanDuel & DraftKings 9/21/16

Welcome to our daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. We covered our system's top value plays in our daily picks article and pitching breakdown but here we will look at other plays to consider if you're trying to win big in a large tournament.

In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. Stack Targets

Texas Rangers vs. Jered Weaver (Angels)
Park - Globe Life Park in Arlington

The Rangers are large -190 home favorites in the main slate's highest project total. If you are looking for home runs this is the game to target as Jered Weaver is on the mound for the Angels. It's been another rough season for Weaver who has an awful 5.73 xFIP in 29 starts while striking out just five batters per nine with a 48% fly ball rate and 34.9% hard contact rate. He has also given up a home run in eight starts and I don't see that streak stopping today vs. the Rangers who rank 8th in Isolated Power against right handed pitching for the season.

Elite Options - Adrian Beltre, Ian Desmond, Carlos Beltran
Value Options - Carlos Gomez, Roughned Odor, Jonathan Lucroy

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Jimmy Nelson(Brewers)
Park - Miller Park

The Pirates have been one of the hottest teams down the stretch ranking 1st in wRC+(126) and 2nd in wOBA(.359) over the last 14 days. They  have been up and down all season but somehow still have a chance at the playoffs as they sit just 4.5 back of the 2nd wildcard in the National League. They are going to need to keep up the pace they have been on lately winning six of their last eight games. They are projected for just 4.66 runs today which seems low considering they are facing the Brewers in Miller Park against gas can Jimmy Nelson.

Elite Options - Andrew McCutchen, Gregory Polanco, Jung Ho Kang
Value Options - Sean Rodriguez, Adam Frazier, Francisco Cervelli

New York Mets vs. Ryan Weber (Braves)
Park - Citi Field

The Mets are the 5th highest projected team in terms of runs today in a home matchup vs. the Braves. They are in a tight race for the National League wildcard as they sit tied with the Cardinals and Giants for the two open spots and sit just four games ahead of a whole other slough of teams. The stcak pick is more about the matchup vs. Weber than it is the Mets bats which are a bit cold over the last 14 days. Weber should help get them back on track as he will be making another start after two straight bullpen appearances. He struggled in his first start going just three innings allowing the Nats five earned runs including two long balls. He has excellent control(.86 BB/9) but doesn't scare anyone with a 5.74 K/9 rate . Look for the Mets bats to catch fire tonight.

Elite Options - Yoenis Cespedes, Curtis Granderson, Jay Bruce
Value Options - Jose Reyes, Asdrubal Cabrera, James Loney
