A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!

Pitching Targets

J.A. Happ FD 8900 DK 10100
Opponent - NYY (Severino) Park - @TOR
FD - 32.65 DK - 21.65

We touched on Corey Kluber and Jaime Garcia in the main picks article, and will now touch on some guys that you can consider in both cash games and tournaments. J.A. Happ is the first guy I will take a look at. He is facing off with the Yankees, who have been below average across the board against left handers. The Yankees have a lot of left handed bats that are dramatically minimized by left handed pitching. It also takes away the stolen base threat, which is huge for guys like Ellsbury and Gardner. J.A. Happ has actually been quite good this year, with a combined wOBA around .311. I expect him to have a very solid outing here against a Yankees team that will likely struggle for the remainder of the season. The game will be played in the Rogers Centre, which is definitely a hitters ballpark. because of that, I do prefer Happ more so in tournaments. He is cheap enough on FanDuel where I will have some cash game exposure, but on DraftKings, he is a pure tournament option.

Tanner Roark FD 8500 DK 10400
Opponent - ARI (Bradley) Park - @WSH
FD - 32.95 DK - 22.1

After Kluber, Happ and Garcia, it gets a bit rough. We are going to take a look at Tanner Roark, who is heading home to face on the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks are a team that struggled on the road. Since the start of the season, the D-Backs have sported a .302 wOBA on the road, which comes in as the 3rd lowest in the league. Tanner Roark on the other hand, has been very good against righties since 2013 with a .298 wOBA. Against lefties, it is a different story. However, the Diamondbacks will likely only throw out one or two lefties, which is a huge bonus for Roark and the Nationals. Like most guys, Roark is overpriced on DraftKings. On FanDuel however, he is very fairly priced at just $8500. Because of the low price, I am willing to play Roark in both cash games and tournaments on FanDuel.
