In case you didn’t notice, we just released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebook on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!

Pitching Targets

Noah Syndergaard FD 10800 DK 10700
Opponent - MIA (Koehler) Park - @MIA
FD - 36.74 DK - 24.12

We touched on Max Scherzer and Julio Teheran in the main picks article, and will now touch on a few guys that you can consider in your cash games and tournaments. Syndergaard is the first guy we will take a look at. He is facing off with the Miami Marlins, a team that is certainly playing with a lot of determination and passion. However, I think that could play against them as well. They very well may be extremely tired and worn out, understandably. If that is the case, Syndergaard will have a great shot of having a huge game. Because of this, I do prefer him in tournaments. Syndergaard has been amazing against both lefties and righties, though his numbers against righties are ridiculous. The Marlins have been very average on the season against righties with a .309 wOBA that is held up by sustainable peripherals. Syndergaard is the same price on both sites, though he is cheaper on DK relatively. On DraftKings, I am a fan of him in both cash games and tournaments. On FanDuel however, I will have my exposure limited to tournaments.

David Price FD 10600 DK 11100
Opponent - NYY (Cessa) Park - @NYY
FD - 35.19 DK - 23.09

David Price is going to close us off here and comes in as our 4th favorite pitcher on the day. He is pretty expensive, which makes him a tournament play, albeit a terrific one. He is facing off with the Yankees, who have had his number in the past. However, he has had plenty of good games against them and I could see another one here. While Price has struggled on the surface, his underlying peripherals are fantastic. With a 26% hard contact rate, along with a 8.97 K/9. Price is still elite and there is no reason to think his ceiling is limited. The game will take place in Yankees Stadium, which gives Price an advantage, as it is better for left handed hitters. Price is expensive on both sites, but I prefer him on FanDuel as the win expectation gives him a higher ceiling and floor. The Yankees have strugled against lefties on the season with the 9th worst wOBA at .304. The wOBA is certainly legitimate as the peripherals hold it up. While I prefer the other 3 guys over Price, Price is a fantastic tournament option.
