What We Know

Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge will be rested against the Kings

This is definitely huge news, even on a day with a ton of news. Kawhi and LaMarcus both take up a ton of minutes and usage for this Spurs team and a few guys will benefit. Kyle Anderson and David Lee figure to see the biggest boost and both are good plays on both sites. However, Kyle Anderson is a far better value on DK where the pricing is much tougher. Pau Gasol could also ee some extended run and makes for an interesting value play against a weak Kings interior.

Nikola Vucevic has been ruled out ith an achilles injury

This one is pretty cut and dry. If Vucevic is out, you look to Bismack Biyombo. he will once again playat least 30 minutes and score 25 fantasy points. THe Bulls are pretty weak down low and he should have no problem destroying value.

Derrick Favors has been ruled out with knee soreness

This came out of nowhere, but not really when you consider his past. This is a situation I I'll mostly stay away from, as there are plenyt of other ways to go on this slate. Rudy Gobert will continue seeing big minutes and he's in play against the Rockets.

What We're Waiting to Know

Nikola Jokic is questionable to play

Jokic looks like he'll miss again and we should see a different run of minutes in this one. The Nuggets got away with playing small in the last game, which left Hernangomez and Arthur very few minutes. Markieff Morris should present a much different challenge and one that they will need a big to take on. Hernangomez has shown a lot of GPP upside and he is very interesting. Mason Plumlee should also see considerable run against a fast-paced Wizards team.

Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Butler, and Rajon Rondo are all questionable to play

This game could turn into an absolute mess if all 3 of these guys miss. Wade looks the least likely to play, while Rondo looks like the most likely. I will just go through each scenario, starting with all 3 sitting. If that's the case, you will have to give a long hard look to MCW and Cameron Payne. Denzel Valentine could also see some minutes, but I don't think he's necessary on a slate like this. If just Wade misses, Butler is a fantastic option and will be on a lot of my rosters. If all 3 play, I will stay away.

George Hill is questionable vs the Rockets

Hill is a key piece of this Jazz team and causes a big chain reaction when injured. Dante Exum will see the start if Hill misses, but the Jazz don't fully trust him yet. That leaves Gordon Hayward with more ballhandling opportunity and a higher usage. Derrick Favors is also out, so shots should be a plenty for the stars of this team. Rodney Hood also becomes interesting, as he could easily destroy the Rockets like last year.

Ryan Anderson is listed as doubtful to play

Anderson has been rather disappointing as a whole this season, rarely having the big games we we're looking forward to. He still does take a decent amount of minutes and shots though, so his absence could impact this team. Sam Dekker is the guy I have most interest in, but doubt I pull the trigger on. They are taking on the Jazz in a very pace-down game.

James Johnson and Tyler Johnson are both officially questionable

Tyler Johnson looks more likely to play, which lessens the love for Goran Dragic. Dragic should still see 30 minutes and makes for a solid cash game option. As for James Johnson, he looks to be truly questionable. If he misses, Okaro White should see around 25 minutes. On a slate with plenty of value options, I don't find him necessary in the slightest.

DeMarre Carrol is questionable to play against the Pelicans

Carroll is another guy who has disappointed a lot this year, turning into a strictly defensive-minded player. He still sees pretty big minutes though and takes up a lot of space on the court. If Carroll misses, P.J. Tucker will step in and play a huge role. Norma Powell could also see some extra minutes, though it seems like the Raptors are saving him for the playoffs. He has a history of ankle problems and it doesn't make sense to push him for no reason.

The "Every Lineup" Guys

DeMarcus Cousins

On a slate with so much value, you have to pay up somewhere.Cousins is definitely a good way to do just that, as he will often be the highest scoring center on the board. He takes on the Raptors tonight, in what is expected to be a competitive, relatively high-scoring affair. Cousins has been great with the Pelican so far, finishing with over 40 points in every single game except against the Jazz. The combo of Valunciunas and Nogueira have absolutely no chance of slowing down Boogie Cousins.

David Lee

David Lee is who should benefit most from Leonard and Aldridge sitting out, as he will be needed for the offensive punch and rebounding. He has been a guy who has produced all season long when given the minutes and gets a fantastic match-up tonight with the Kings, who are all but intimidating down low. Anthony Tolliver and Kosta Koufos will see most minutes on Lee, while Cauley-Stein will be on Pau Gasol. I look for the Spurs to work around lee on offense and give him plenty of opportunities.
