GOALIES

Jon Quick FD - $8700 DK - $7800
Opponent - NAS
Proj Pts FD - 20.36 DK - 5.09

I recommended Quick in the Kings last game but it was Bishop who ended up getting the start and ended taking an uncharacteristic loss at home to the Canucks. It will be Quick back between the pipes tonight making his fourth start since returning to the lineup. He took a road loss in Minnesota(so have many teams) but has been elite at home winning both times while saving 61 of 64 shots he has faced. He gets a home matchup tonight vs. the Preds who have lost three straight games and have not been the same team on the road(13-16-3). Quick is safe in all formats.

Thomas Greiss FD - $8200 DK - $7400
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 17.48 DK - 4.37

Speaking of the Canucks, I will be targeting against them once again. The Islanders open as decent -135 favorites as their road trip continues in Vancouver tonight. They have been relatively successful going 4-3 and have won six of their last 10 games overall. Greiss has been up and down lately going 5-4-1 in his last 10 starts but limited his opponents to two goals or less in all five wins. He is not the safest option for cash games but makes an excellent projected low owned/high upside play in GPP's.

Also Consider: Devan Dubnyk(MIN)

CENTERS

Auston Matthews FD - $7200 DK - $7500
Opponent - PHI
Proj Pts FD - 14.62 DK - 4.56

I will start off by saying the rookie is not the safest cash game play tonight having gone three straight games without a point while the Flyers have been much better defensively. Don't get me wrong, they are a bottom 10 ranked defense overall but the price rise with Matthews has me playing him in GPP only tonight, at least on DraftKings. If you are going to use him in cash there are some positives as he comes with elite shot volume and is a force on the top powerplay unit.

Stack with: Connor Brown, William Nylander(PP)

Alex Galchenyuk FD - $6100 DK - $5600
Opponent - CGY
Proj Pts FD - 10.96 DK - 3.67

Galchenyuk is returning to the form we saw last season when he put up a career-high 56 points. After missing time with injuries he has now heated up with points in six straight games. His price is still in a very affordable position which is why he ranks right up there from a PTS/$ perspective. He doesn't have the elite shot volume we would like and combine that with the fact the Flames have been hot winning seven straight and Galchenyuk is best used tournaments tonight.

Stack with: Artturi Lehkonen Alexander Radulov(PP), Max Pacioretty(PP)

WINGERS

Patrick Kane FD - $8600 DK - $8000
Opponent - ANA
Proj Pts FD - 17.66 DK - 5.35

Fade at your own risk! I don't always like recommending the high-end players at the position but the fact Kane has been the hottest player in the league and is somehow cheaper than Ovi on DraftKings, I have to pump his tires a bit. The reigning MVP has pushed his way into a tie for second in league points after tallying 17 over his last 10 games including seven multi-point efforts. Shot volume has never been a problem for Kane(17.1 shot att/60) and in those last 10 games, he has recorded 41 shots on goal. Even at a price over $8K on both sites, he is safe in all formats.

Stack with: Artemi Panarin, Artem Anisimov

Filip Forsberg FD - $7700 DK - $6700
Opponent - LA
Proj Pts FD - 14.12 DK - 4.39

We can't have a conversation about red hot players without talking about Forsberg. He finished up the month of February with goals in five straight games including back to back hat tricks. He opened March without a point in a loss the Habs but has rebounded with points in two straight with a whopping 14 shots on goal. Look for him to be a lower owned option tonight as the Preds have a tough matchup going into Los Angeles. I know, Quick is my #1 goalie but we all know anything can happen and if you are looking to separate yourself in big tournaments you have to take a risk somewhere. This is one that could pay off handsomely in a contrarian lineup.

Stack with: Viktor Arvidsson, Ryan Johansen

Anders Lee FD - $4900 DK - $5200
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 9.79 DK - 3.06

Value, value, value! If you can't fit John Tavares in your lineup tonight do the next best thing and plug his winger in your lineups at a great value from a PTS/$ perspective. He is one point away from setting a career high in points and has also been good on the defensive end, posting a +11 rating. That doesn't help us in fantasy but it points to a player who is responsible the entire time he is on the ice which gains trust from the coaching staff and leads to more ice-time. The Islanders get a plus matchup against the Canucks who rank just outside the bottom 10 in defense.

Stack with: John Tavares, Josh Bailey

DEFENSEMEN
Shayne Gostisbehere FD - $4600 DK - $4900
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 9.71 DK - 3.48

Ghost Bear! This might come as a surprise to some but this is the first time all year I have wrote up Gots-to-be-here. He is a man of many nicknames but I will leave that for another article. From a fantasy perspective, he ranks up there again in the PTS/$ ranks as the price has remained under $5K while he has started to provide more consistency. He has only recorded five points over the last 10 games but has also tallied 14 blocks and seen the shot volume rise with 31 shots on goal. The good news for tonight is that the Flyers take 30+ shots per game while the Leafs allow over 32 per game.

Dennis Seidenberg FD - $3600 DK - $3200
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 8.02 DK - 2.3

Well, I crushed the punt option strategy on Tuesday with Gudas and will look to do the same tonight. When looking at punting at the defense position we are never really looking for that offensive upside but we will definitely take it. Seidenberg is in a similar situation as Gudas was and is even cheaper. He has provided little no offense lately with just two points in his last 10 games but has tallied 22 blocks and 15 shots on goal which gives him a decent floor for the price. He gets minimal PP time but is skating around 20 minutes per game on the second pairing.  Take the salary relief and use it to pay up or some studs tonight.
