Pitchers

Early Slate

Brad Peacock FD 7600 DK 9700
Opponent - OAK (Gossett) Park - @HOU
FD - 30.14 DK - 15.46

If you are looking to get a few more bats into your lineups on the early slate, Brad Peacock makes an excellent pivot off Kluber, especially on FanDuel in the mid $7K range. Peacock has yet to pitch into the seventh inning in a game but since becoming a starter on May 22, he has displayed huge upside with a 14.0 K/9 rate and been fairly consistent with a 2.76 xFIP despite walking over four batters per nine. He pitches in a terrific pitching environment in Houston and faces an Oakland team who sits in the middle of the pack vs. right-handed pitching but strikeout over 25% of the time.

Main Slate

J.A. Happ FD 8400 DK 8700
Opponent - BAL (Jimenez) Park - @TOR
FD - 29.55 DK - 15.14

After Kershaw and Archer tonight, the falloff is quite dramatic and we have a choice to make at SP2 on DraftKings. I will be leaning on J.A. Happ tonight as the Jays look to close out the series with the Orioles. The Jays currently sit as -200 favorites which gives Happ a huge boost in win potential, which for him is a good news as they have been hard to come by this season. Happ spent some time on the disabled and was a little rusty when returning giving up five earned runs but has been terrific ever since. He has now gone three straight starts with at least six innings and has allowed just four earned runs in that time(19.1 IP) with a 22:1 strikeout to walk ratio. Even better news for Happ's upside tonight is the fact the Orioles are much worse facing left-handed pitching and strikeout just under 26% of the time. Happ is safe in all formats tonight.
