Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 11/28/17

Hello my fellow hockey fans and welcome to another day of NHL action here at DFSR. Today, we have a large 10-game slate in store us and we have our share of exciting offenses to go along with some weak defenses, so let's not waste any more time and dive right into the picks.

Hockey is back and with it come our NHL projections which help inform these picks every night. When you purchase a DFSR NHL subscription to our base hockey projections you also get access to our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and our Player Lab, which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings for any format. It’s a set of tools well beyond anything we’ve ever had, and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

GOALIE

Henrik Lundqvist FD - $8700 DK - $8100
Opponent - FLA
Proj Pts FD - 16.35 DK - 4.09

Let's start with King Henrik who has been sensational lately as he has four wins in a row while allowing only five goals and he has faced an average of 35 shots in his last three games. The Panthers are ranked 20th offensively with 2.82 goals scored per games, but they fire the puck on net a ton as they are ranked sixth in the league with 34.5 shots on goal per game. Lundqvist is 12-6-2 this season with a .918 save % and Florida is playing in back-to-back road games, so all things considered, King Henrik is my top goalie in all formats.

Andrei Vasilevskiy FD - $9200 DK - $8200
Opponent - BUF
Proj Pts FD - 14.43 DK - 3.61

The Lightning knew that there was something special with this young man when they traded Ben Bishop last season and they could not have been more correct. The young Russian tender is fourth in the league with a .930 save %, sixth with a 2.30 GAA and first with 15 wins, which gives him an incredible 15-3-1 record. Tonight, the Lightning travel to Buffalo to play the Sabres and their league-worst offense that scores a pathetic 2.29 goals per game and Tampa is currently listed as -180 road favorites. Vasilevskiy has not allowed more than two goals in five of his last six games and Tampa Bay should come away with the victory and since they are on the road, I will be using him in GPP formats only, but he is elite at that.

Also Consider: Cam Talbot (EDM)

 CENTERS

Steven Stamkos FD - $8700 DK - $7900
Opponent - BUF
Proj Pts FD - 15.37 DK - 4.59

I think the Sabres could be in trouble here as the current NHL leader in points (36), and assists (26) hasn't recorded a point in his last two games while firing only three shots on goal. This is the first time this season that Stammer has been held pointless for two games in a row and this game could get ugly as the Sabres allow a third-worst 3.42 goals per game, while the Lightning own the league's best offense as well as the #1 ranked powerplay unit. Look for Stamkos and his linemates to get back on track and he is an elite play in all formats.

Stack with: Nikita Kucherov, Vladislav Namestnikov

William Karlsson FD - $6500 DK - $5800
Opponent - DAL
Proj Pts FD - 11.88 DK - 3.45

Wow! Is this guy on fire or what? He is now tied for fifth in the league with 13 goals and he has five multi-point games in a row with seven goals and three assists while firing 19 shots on goal in those five games. He plays on the #1 line and the #1 powerplay unit for Vegas who are ranked second in the league with 3.68 goals scored per game. Karlsson and his line-mates are on fire, so stack this line in GPP's and strongly consider him for your cash game lineups against an average Dallas defense.

Stack with: Reilly Smith, Jonathan Marchessault

Mathew Barzal FD - $5000 DK - $5400
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 9.17 DK - 2.65

This young man has a bright future ahead of him and he is currently on a six-game point streak with three goals and six assists while skating on the #2 line and the powerful #1 powerplay unit for the Islanders. He only averages around two shots per game, so he has little safety for cash games, but fire him up in GPP formats.

Stack with: Andrew Ladd, Jordan Eberle

Also Consider: Tyler Seguin (DAL)

WINGERS

Johnny Gaudreau FD - $8100 DK - $7400
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 14.94 DK - 4.31

I'm debating whether to call him a star or upgrade him to superstar status, but regardless, this young man has been awesome this season. Johnny Hockey is tied for second in both assists (23), and points (34) and he scored a goal on seven shots to go along with two assists two games ago against Dallas. Look for the Flames to take advantage of the Leafs and their 21st ranked defense on home ice this evening, so lock and load Gaudreau in all formats.

Stack with: Sean Monahan, Michael Ferland

Mike Cammalleri FD - $3600 DK - $4000
Opponent - ARI
Proj Pts FD - 7.57 DK - 2.2

I am always completely honest with you and I didn't think that I would ever be mentioning this guy in a fantasy article but with his recent upgrade to the top line with superstar Connor McDavid, he shows up as a top PTS/$ play again today. In his first game with McDavid, he skated just over 16 minutes and picked up a primary assist. He is not a safe play by, any means, but as long he remains on the top line with a punt price, you can roll him out in GPP formats and even consider him as a salary relief option in cash games.

Stack with: Connor McDavid, Milan Lucic

Boone Jenner FD - $4700 DK - $5300
Opponent - CAR
Proj Pts FD - 9.79 DK - 2.84

While he has only eight points in his last 13 games, this guy seems to love shooting the puck as he has 19 shots in his last five games and he fired seven on Carey Price last night in Montreal. Jenner plays on the #1 line and the #2 powerplay unit for the Jackets, so he will have his fair share of chances against a below-average Carolina defense and he is a solid cash game play today.

Stack with: Brandon Dubinsky, Cam Atkinson

Also Consider: Rick Nash (NYR) GPP formats only

DEFENSEMEN

Nick Leddy FD - $5400 DK - $5800
Opponent - VAN
Proj Pts FD - 9.6 DK - 2.89

This veteran point-man has been playing like a forward lately as he is on a four-game point streak with two goals and four assists to go along with 10 shots and six blocks. He has also provided fantasy owners with a nice floor as well with 27 shots and 15 blocks over his last 10 games and he plays on the Islanders' #1 PP unit. Fire Leddy up in all formats this evening.

Esa Lindell FD - $4100 DK - $3900
Opponent - VEG
Proj Pts FD - 8.95 DK - 2.74

When looking for value for a defenseman, we want a guy who blocks a decent amount of shots while recording a few shots on goal as well. Lindell offers just that as he has eight shots and ten blocks in his last four games while adding two assists. He is paired with John Klingberg on the top unit and is also getting time on the powerplay while averaging over 22 minutes total per game. Complete your cash game lineups this evening with Lindell.

Also Consider: Brent Burns (SJ) GPP formats only.
