GOALIE

Anton Khudobin FD - $8500 DK - $8200
Opponent - NYR
Proj Pts FD - 15.34 DK - 3.83

The goalie position is extremely tough today, but I eventually settled with the Bruins backup, who has had a solid season so far with a 10-4-3 record, a .924 save %, and a 2.36 GAA. The Rangers are only average in offense and they have lost six of their last seven games, while the Bruins have been on fire for a while now and even though they are in a back-to-back, they should be able take care of business against a struggling Rangers squad. You could make a case for the Kings goalie today, but the Oilers are better offensively on the road then they are at home and the Bruins are red-hot right now, so Fire up Khudobin in all formats.

CENTERS

Connor McDavid FD - $9100 DK - $7500
Opponent - LA
Proj Pts FD - 16.23 DK - 4.69

"McJesus" is carrying his team on his back right now as the Oilers are 5-1-1 in their last seven games and he scored four goals and an assist last game, which gives him six goals, two assists and a whopping 20 shots in his last three. The superstar center is now third in points with 61 and while the Kings are ranked second overall defensively, they are worse at home where they are eighth in that category. You could possibly fade him in GPP's, But after last game, everyone and their cats and dogs will be rostering McDavid which makes him a must play in cash games on a tiny slate like this.

Stack with: Leon Draisaitl, Milan Lucic (PP)

Anze Kopitar FD - $7200 DK - $6800
Opponent - EDM
Proj Pts FD - 13.61 DK - 3.93

There is very little value at center today, so we need to spend up here, but don't worry, there is plenty of value at the winger position. The Oilers are ranked 26 defensively and Kopitar recorded a goal, an assist, and three shots last game and has points in seven of his last eight and in 11 of his last 13. While he has massive upside potential, his floor is fairly low as he averages below 2.5 shots per game, but the Oilers have a leaky defense, so he looks like a great GPP play and an above average cash game play this evening.

Stack with: Tyler Toffoli, Aaron Iafallo

Also Consider: Patrice Bergeron(BOS)

WINGERS

Kevin Fiala FD - $5000 DK - $6100
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 10.22 DK - 2.96

I recommended this guy last game and he made me look smart as he scored twice to give him four goals, an assist, and seven shots in his last three to go along with a 3.0 shot per game average in his last 10 games, which gives him a perfect mixture of safety and upside that we look for on any given night. The Leafs Defense is actually worse at home where they are ranked 18th, so at these cheap prices, Fiala is a great play in all formats.

Stack with: Craig Smith, Kyle Turris

Danton Heinen FD - $4600 DK - $4900
Opponent - NYR
Proj Pts FD - 9.63 DK - 2.83

He tallied two assists last game to give him 35 points in 46 games and he has a goal and an assist as I am writing this. While he averages under two shots per game, he does have 10 in his last three games, so his floor has been a little higher, therefore making him a solid play in all formats.

Stack with: Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak

Also Consider: Zach Hyman(TOR) Ryan Spooner(BOS)

DEFENSEMEN

P.K. Subban FD - $6200 DK - $6100
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 12.02 DK - 3.65

Here is another guy that I recommended last time and I'm going right back to the well today as he had an assist with a whopping nine shots last game, which gives him points in six of his last seven. I've watched him play off and on lately and he is extremely motivated and he is currently very dangerous to fade in all formats, so roster him with confidence my friends.

Jake Muzzin FD - $4900 DK - $5500
Opponent - EDM
Proj Pts FD - 11.35 DK - 3.39

There is also very little value to be had at the defense position today, but with the value at winger, we can fit in a couple higher end players here. Muzzin has been even better with Martinez out of the lineup and he had a goal and two assists last game to give him points in nine of his last 10 to go along with five shots and seven blocks in his last three. Those are very impressive numbers making  Muzzin is an elite play in all formats this evening.

  • Marchand is back tonight putting Heinen back on the third line - do you not do research before making these???

  • Heinen will still have time on the PP1 line so still makes a decent cash play and a good GPP play.

  • My apologies Chris, I do put a lot of research and time into these picks. I simply messed up. I thought he was suspended for one more game. I still like Heinen also Victor because he is on pp1. Thank you for reading guys and good luck tonight!!

  • Yes spooner is on pp1. Heinen off because Marchand back. Also, Fiala was absent from morning skate and may or may not play tonight. I like him if he plays, but I also like Craig smith at similar prices. Heinen and spoonerare both average plays. Trying to spend up to Pastrnak is what I'm trying to do.

  • Kevin fiala is on the ice for warmups so I like him a lot this evening in Toronto.
