GOALIE

Philipp Grubauer FD - $8000 DK - $8200
Opponent - OTT
Proj Pts FD - 15.56 DK - 3.64

Holtby's struggles continued last night and he was pulled after giving up four goals on just 15 shots. Grubauer took over and ended up saving all 18 he faced and will almost undoubtedly be between the pipes tonight. He has been, by far, the better goalie in Washington and he has won three straight starts with while giving up just five goals on 97 shots(.948 save %). The Capitals are huge -210 home favorites tonight as they get an elite matchup vs. the Sens and their 30th ranked road offense. Fire up Grubauer in all formats.

Devan Dubnyk FD - $8800 DK - $7900
Opponent - STL
Proj Pts FD - 13.9 DK - 3.47

The ownership at goalie should be spread out tonight with so many top options playing on home ice and one of my favorites is Devan Dubnyk of the Wild. He comes in with a win in three straight games and has gone 6-2-1 over his last nine starts pushing his season record to 26-11-5. He has been so, so on the road this year but has been elite on home ice losing just three games in regulation(16-3-5) with a .931 save % and two shutouts. He also gets an elite matchup as the struggling Blues comes to town having lost six straight games while scoring just seven goals and now rank 22nd overall on offense. Dubnyk can also be considered in all formats tonight.

Also Consider: Connor Hellebuyck(WPG) who is also elite on home ice

CENTERS

Evgeni Malkin FD - $9200 DK - $7800
Opponent - NJ
Proj Pts FD - 17.11 DK - 5

There are a couple players I don't think we can fade tonight and it starts with Malkin who is making a push for top spot when looking at overall points. He comes into tonight with 17 points over his last 10 games(five multi-point efforts) which now gives him 76 on the season, just six behind Nikita Kucherov.  The Pens are coming off a loss but have won seven of their last 10 and have the Eastern Conference's best home record at 23-7-1 and will face a New Jersey defense that ranks 20th overall. The price has continued to rise but on a bigger slate with tons of value, Malkin is a must in all formats.

Stack with: Carl Hagelin, Patric Hornqvist

Nazem Kadri FD - $6500 DK - $6200
Opponent - FLA
Proj Pts FD - 12.32 DK - 3.58

Kadri has been a man on a mission lately which is great news for Leafs who are without Auston Matthews who was placed on injured reserve. He is coming off a two-goal game vs. the Bruins and has a whopping 13 points in his last 10 games and has also been providing some decent shot volume with 29 shots in those games. He has shown some great chemistry with Mitch Marner who leads the Leafs in points and tonight they get a terrific matchup vs. the Panthers 26th ranked defense. All things considered, Kadri is a great play in all formats.

Stack with: Mitch Marner, Patrick Marleau

David Krejci FD - $5500 DK - $4900
Opponent - CAR
Proj Pts FD - 9.67 DK - 2.84

If you are looking to go cheap at the position, consider David Krejci. He is not the most consistent option and is not safe for cash games but provides some salary relief for GPP's and will likely be much less owned than the Bruins top line. He is having a down year filled with injuries once again and has just 29 points but got a boost at the trade deadline as the Bruins acquired Rick Nash who will skate on his wing. Stack the two together at low ownership in an attempt to take down a GPP.

Stack with: Rick Nash, Jake Debrusk

WINGERS

Alex Ovechkin FD - $8900 DK - $7600
Opponent - OTT
Proj Pts FD - 18.17 DK - 5.29

The Caps are playing on a back to back tonight but it doesn't much matter at this point. Ovechkin went into last night's game with 14 points over his last 10 games with a ridiculous 51 shots on goal and as I write this, he already has a goal early in the first period against the Blue Jackets. He has the highest floor in the game as he leads the league with 267 shots on goal(4.3 per game) and has converted on 38 of them giving him a sky-high ceiling as well. To top it off, he has an elite matchup vs. the Senators 30th ranked defense making him a top target in all formats.

Stack with: Nicklas Backstrom, Tom Wilson

Evander Kane FD - $6400 DK - $6400
Opponent - EDM
Proj Pts FD - 11.58 DK - 3.38

Kane was sent to San Jose in a trade yesterday which is a great sign for his fantasy relevance as he gets out of Buffalo who is ranked 30th in offense on the season. It is unclear what line he will start on but a Top 6 role is almost guaranteed. The ceiling on Buffalo hasn't been great but one thing he has provided all season is a high floor as he has tallied 34 shots over his last 10 games and 227 on the season(3.7 shots per game). Tonight he and the Sharks get a plus matchup vs. the Oilers who may have won three straight but continue to struggle defensively as they have given up 3.6 goals per game over their last 10 games and 22 in their last 5 games in California.

Stack with: Stay tuned for news.

Ryan Carpenter FD - $3500 DK - $3200
Opponent - LA
Proj Pts FD - 10.23 DK - 2.82

Through the expansion the draft, the Golden Knights picked up a ton of somewhat "throw-away" players from other teams that have thrived in Las Vegas. Add another player to the list as they picked up Ryan Carpenter off waivers in December and since coming on board, he has already tallied 10 points in his first 15 games after recording just 16 points in 28 games across three seasons with the Sharks. Considering his punt price in the mid $3K range, he also offers a decent floor with 24 shots over his last 10 games and makes rostering two elite studs in one lineup a reality.

Stack with: Alex Tuch, Cody Eakin

DEFENSEMEN

Stephen Johns FD - $4400 DK - $3500
Opponent - CGY
Proj Pts FD - 8.59 DK - 2.52

With the forward position packed with top options tonight, we are going to need some value/punt plays and no better place to seek those out than the defense position. For me, it starts with Stephen Johns of the Stars who may not have a ton of upside with just 14 points on the season but has been very consistent with 25 blocks and 26 shots over his last 10 games for an average of 3.7 DraftKings/12.7 FanDuel points per game. With that production, he is in play in all formats tonight, especially on DraftKings in the mid $3K range.

Adam Larsson FD - $3600 DK - $3200
Opponent - SJ
Proj Pts FD - 8.25 DK - 2.45

Going even cheaper in the punt zone, I will be rostering some Adam Larsson tonight. I get it. It sounds crazy but hear me out. I will be attempting to run multiple lineups with two of Ovechkin, Malkin, Hall and will need some serious salary relief to do it. First of all, I admit he has zero upside with just eight points this season but skates over 21 minutes per game on the Oilers top pairing and with 24 blocks and 15 shots in his last 10 games is averaging 2.8 DraftKings/9.4 FanDuel points per game. I will take that at a mid $3K price tag on both sites if it helps me capitalize on the huge upside at the forward position.

Also Consider: Matt Dumba(MIN)
