What We Know

Justin Holiday will start at SF for the Bulls

Besides 1 game against the Nets, the Bulls have held Holiday out in hopes of getting the youngsters some experience. He'll jump back into the starting lineup tonight against a tough Grizzlies defense. You can go there if you want, but I doubt he's in much of a rhythm and certainly won't be pushed over 32-34 minutes, no matter the circumstance. It obviously hurts the likes of David Nwaba and Denzel Valentine considerably, though both can still be considered in tournaments.

Willie Cauley-Stein, Brandon Ingram, Tyreke Evans, Andrew Harrison, and Tristan Thompson will all remain out

We know what to do here for the most part. For Willie Cauley-Stein, Kosta Koufos will slide in once again for 20-25 minutes and makes sense as a punt in cash games. With a thinned-out Grizzlies squad, we'll see Ben McLemore, Kobi Simmons, and Myke Henry all pick up substantial minutes. The NBA lineup optimizer has McLemore projected for the most minutes at 35.Let's look at some of the unknowns.

What We're Waiting to Know

Jarell Martin is questionable to return against the Bulls

Martin missed last game and I'm not sure they are going to rush him back at all. Against the Bulls, I don't have any interest if he does play. Now if Martin misses, go ahead and play Jamychael Green with a 25 FP expectation. Ivan Rabb may also pick up close to 20 minutes and is extremely cheap on both sites. Gasol is always a safe option at a weaker center position.

Every Lineup Guys

Kyle Kuzma FD - $6100 DK - $6100
Opponent - ORL
Proj Pts FD - 31.77 DK - 32.67

Here's what I said last night in the picks article. Ever since Brandon Ingram went out, Kyle Kuzma has picked up 33 and 37 minutes. He put up 27 and 32 fantasy points in two tough match-ups and now sees a great one against Orlando. On the year, they rank 21st against the position and have been even worse recently. Kuzma has been extremely efficient when on the floor at 1.22 fantasy points per minute and it always just comes down to the opportunity. With Ingram confirmed out, I’d say it’s safe to bet on 30 minutes and 30 fantasy points against a weak Orlando frontcourt. As we sit, I can’t imagine a lineup without Kuzma at the very friendly price tag. Nothing has changed. He's still just as good of a play and can be used in all formats.

Ben McLemore FD - $4200 DK - $4500
Opponent - CHI
Proj Pts FD - 0 DK - 0

With McLemore projected to play 35 minutes, you have to love him at close to the minimum price. He's always been productive when on the floor and this Kings squad is without shot-takers with much initiative. Against the SG position, the Bulls have ranked 21st over the last 20 games. It'll be Holiday back in the lineup tonight, but he hasn't been any good all year and doesn't have much motivation to lockdown the weak Kings perimeter. If you think McLemore get over that 30-minute mark, you play him in all formats.

  • One of his must starts a few weeks ago was someone who got sent to the G league the night before - so thinking McL is on the Kings doesn't surprise me. Once again - this is the "quality" you are getting here.
