GOALIE

Connor Hellebuyck FD - $8600 DK - $8200
Opponent - LA
Proj Pts FD - 21.93 DK - 5.48

Hellebuyck is coming off an incredible season where he recorded a career-high 44 wins and .924 save  % while finishing second in Vezina Trophy voting. After opening the season 1-1 on the road in St. Louis and Dallas, the Jets will return to Winnipeg for their home-opener a season after posting a league-high 32 wins on home ice. Hellebuyck was a huge part of that success as he recorded 30 of his 44 wins on home ice with a 2.31 GAA and .921 save %. While he is coming off a suspect start in Dallas where he allowed five goals, he did stop 30 shots and has now seen 77 shots through his first two games which definitely helps the floor and fantasy upside. The Jets are huge -192 favorites tonight against the Kings and Hellebuyck is my top goalie in all formats.

Brian Elliott FD - $7700 DK - $7800
Opponent - SJ
Proj Pts FD - 16.79 DK - 4.2

For GPP formats, I will be taking a close look at the Flyers Brian Elliott in the sub $8K range on both sites. Like Hellebuyck, he has had one good and one bad start on the road to start the season and will now return home to Philly for their home opener. The Flyers are slight favorites in this one as the Sharks come to town and are playing on back to back days on the East coast after being shutout by the Islanders yesterday. There is some risk here as the Sharks have a ton of offensive talent on their team but they haven't hit their stride yet(five goals in three games) so I am willing to take the risk to get a ton of salary relief to load up on some line stacks tonight.

CENTERS

Tyler Seguin FD - $7900 DK - $7500
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 14.13 DK - 5.9

It's not that I don't like Tavares and Matthews for the Leafs in this matchup but for cash games, I lean Tyler Seguin. It comes down to the Stars defense which has played great to open the season allowing just one goal in two games while the Leafs defense has been once again been a mess allowing 13 goals in their first three games. Seguin not only offers us multi-point upside but he also has a high floor coming off a season where he averaged over four shots per game and already has 12 through two games while averaging 20 minutes of ice-time. I will definitely have exposure to the Leafs centers in GPP formats but for cash games its Seguin all day.

Stack with: Jamie Benn, Alexander Radulov

Kyle Turris FD - $5100 DK - $4800
Opponent - CGY
Proj Pts FD - 9.03 DK - 3.73

On the value end of things, I will be looking at Kyle Turris who centers the Predators second line with Craig Smith and Kevin Fiala. He doesn't offer quite the same floor as Seguin as he averaged just two shots per game a year ago but he does get a plus matchup tonight against a Flames team that has given up nine goals in their first two games. From a PTS/$ perspective, Turris offers a ton of upside tonight and at these prices on a smaller slate, he is playable in all formats.

Stack with: Kevin Fiala, Craig Smith

Also Consider: Elias Petterson(VAN)

WINGERS

Cam Atkinson FD - $7100 DK - $6500
Opponent - COL
Proj Pts FD - 9.6 DK - 4.02

I am always looking for shot volume when constructing my cash game lineups to give lineups a solid base and high floor. Atkinson offers just that as he is coming off a season where he averaged over 3.5 per game and has four in each of his first two games this season. He skates on the top line and powerplay unit for the Blue Jackets and not only has a high floor but also offers upside as a part of a line stack in GPP formats. The Avalanche have been solid defensively to start the season at home but now go on the road where they really struggled a year ago. I will be using Atkinson in all formats tonight.

Stack with: Artemi Panarin, Pierre-Luc Dubois

Kyle Connor FD - $5500 DK - $5800
Opponent - LA
Proj Pts FD - 9.61 DK - 3.61

Getting exposure to the Jets offense on home ice is never a bad idea and if you can afford Blake Wheeler that is definitely the route to go. I have already mentioned building around Tyler Seguin and getting both is going to be difficult so I will turn to Wheeler's linemate Kyle Connor. He not only comes at a discount and provides excellent PTS/$ value but has also gotten off to a hot start scoring in each of his first two games while recording eight shots on goal. At a sub $6K price tag on both sites, he is a terrific cash game play and can also be paired with his linemates as a part of an upside Jets line stack.

Stack with: Mark Scheifelle, Blake Wheeler

Also Consider: Michael Ferland(CAR), Mikhail Vorobyev(PHI)

DEFENSEMEN

John Klingberg FD - $6400 DK - $5600
Opponent - TOR
Proj Pts FD - 10.65 DK - 4.15

Klingberg doesn't block a ton of shots but does provide a high floor as he has skated an average of 26 minutes per game and has recorded seven shots through two games. He also provides a ton of upside coming off a career-high 67 points a year ago and has recorded one point in each game this season and also gets an elite matchup against the Leafs defense. He skates on the top even-strength and powerplay unit and at a discount from the other top players at the position, he is my top play in all formats.

Josh Morrissey FD - $4200 DK - $4200
Opponent - LA
Proj Pts FD - 6.4 DK - 2.74

For value at the position, I will turn to Josh Morrissey tonight who is skating on the Jets top unit and averaging over 20 minutes per game. He doesn't provide a ton of upside but does make a lot of sense in cash game formats with his shot blocking ability and after blocking over two per game a year ago has 10 already through two games this season. It's not a flashy play but his price helps us get to some top plays at other positions on this smaller six-game slate.

Also Consider: Shayne Gostisbehere(PHI), Erik Johnson(COL), Calvin De Haan(CAR)
