GOALIE

Braden Holtby FD - $9000 DK - $8300
Opponent - NJ
Proj Pts FD - 20.96 DK - 5.24

Despite the huge slate tonight, I am less than thrilled with the goalie options. I will start with Braden Holtby who is, by no means, having his best season overall but has been better lately winning seven of his last 10 starts with a .917 save % and one shutout. During that time, he has only faced 28.8 shots per game but on the season has faced over 30 so there is some upside here tonight. Adding to the upside is the terrific matchup Holtby and the Caps get as they face a Devils team that has dropped eight of their last 10 games and rank 22nd overall on offense. Holtby is in play in all formats.

**Update: Phoenix Copley will start for the Caps tonight and can also be considered in all formats**

Carter Hart FD - $7800 DK - $8100
Opponent - MON
Proj Pts FD - 17.19 DK - 4.3

After Holtby, I turn my attention to the Flyers rookie who will be between the pipes tonight at home vs. the Canadiens. The Flyers are just small -115 favorites but face a Habs team that is struggling down the stretch having dropped four of their last five games scoring just eight total goals. Hart spent some time on IR and after struggling in his first game back, rebounded in a big way on Sunday stopping 41 of 42 shots in a 2-1 shootout win over the rival Penguins. For just $200 more on DraftKings, I will likely just roll with Holtby but on FanDuel Hart makes ton of sense in the sub $8K range.

CENTERS

Tyler Seguin FD - $7900 DK - $7200
Opponent - FLA
Proj Pts FD - 0 DK - 0

There are a ton of options at the center position tonight but what stands out is that the Top 8 on both sites are all on the road. Then comes Tyler Seguin who feels like a bargain considering his home matchup against the Panthers and incredibly high floor. He comes in with 42 shots over his last 10 games and that is backed up by an elite 11.4 shots/60 and 19.3 iCorsi/60 on the season. Seguin is my top PTS/$ center tonight and will be a building block in my lineups in all formats.
Stack with: Alexander Radulov, Roope Hintz, Jamie Benn(PP)

Ryan O'Reilly FD - $6800 DK - $6800
Opponent - EDM
Proj Pts FD - 14.87 DK - 4.32

The mid-range is where I am looking at center tonight, at least from a cash game perspective. He has just average advanced shot stats(8.0 shots/60, 12.7 iCorsi/60) but has been better lately with 30 shots over his last 10 games and points in five of his last seven. He and the Blues now get a plus home matchup against the Oilers who have slipped defensively lately giving up six goals in two of their last three games and rank 24th overall on the season. Fire up O'Reilly in all formats.
Stack with: Brayden Schenn, David Perron

Also Consider: Sebastian Aho(CAR)

WINGERS

**If you have the salary, Alex Ovechkin is an elite play in a plus matchup**

Matthew Tkachuk FD - $6300 DK - $6500
Opponent - CBJ
Proj Pts FD - 14.31 DK - 4.67

The Flames sit comfortably at the top of the Western Conference and a lot of the recent success can be attributed to the secondary scoring. Tkachuk is right at the top of that list as he has been red-hot lately with 14 points in his last 10 games and has also provided a high floor with 35 shots on goal in that time. Not only is he skating second line with Mikael Backlund, who has also been consistent lately, but they join Johnny Gaudreau on the top powerplay unit as well. With a mid $6K price tag on both sites, Tkachuk will be a core play in all formats.

Stack with: Mikael Backlund, Johnny Gaudreau(PP), Mark Giordano(PP)
Josh Anderson FD - $5200 DK - $5000
Opponent - CGY
Proj Pts FD - 12.8 DK - 3.65

When it comes to the mid-range at winger, one name has stood out recently. Josh Anderson has made his way up to the Top 6 forwards and is currently skating with Matt Duchene and Alexander Wennberg on the second line. What I like about that the most is that neither of those two are high shot volume guys which leaves a lot of those shots to Anderson and he comes into this game with 39 over his last 10 games. He has also added seven points in that time and for a low $5K price tag, that is more than enough to consider him a play in all formats.
Stack with: Matt Duchene, Alexander Wennberg

Also Consider: Ryan Donato(MIN)

DEFENSEMEN

Shea Weber FD - $5700 DK - $6100
Opponent - PHI
Proj Pts FD - 13.91 DK - 4.07

Weber hasn't been anywhere near his upside this season with just 28 points in 48 games but if you are looking for an elite floor, he is definitely your guy. Over his last 10 games, he has tallied a whopping 40 shots and 24 blocks for an average of 4.4 DraftKings/15.9 FanDuel points per game. On the season, those numbers hold up as he is averaging a combined 4.6 shots/blocks per game while getting over 23.5 minutes of ice time. With the value he is providing the price still has room to go up so it still feels like a buy-low at this time.
Kris Russell FD -
$3900 DK - $4300
Opponent - STL
Proj Pts FD - 9.87 DK - 2.88

Russell has little to no upside but like Weber, provides a very high floor and better yet comes at a big discount on both sites. He did score in his last game and does have five points over his last 10 but what I like the most is the 47 combined shots and blocks helping him to an average of 3.6 DraftKings/11.6 FanDuel points per game in that time. His best value is on FanDuel under $4K but he is a terrific cash play on both sites tonight.
Also Consider: Travis Hamonic(CGY)
