Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings - Week 9 We’re squarely in the second half of the season and the picture of contenders is becoming more and more clear. We really only have a handful of teams realistically vying for the coveted four playoff spots. There isn’t much happening this week that will impact the current Playoff picture with only two games that have playoff implications. Texas will need to be careful at Oklahoma State and the loser between Georgia and Florida is surely out. Other than that all eyes should be on the Track Meet between 7-0 South Florida and 6-1 Houston. With the highest total on the board at 75, this should be a fun one to watch and one where we will want to have exposure. Quarterback Brock Purdy -Iowa State DK 7000 Opponent Texas Tech Team Total - 29.75 Where did this cat come from? Wholly razzle-dazzle. Purdy wasn't even on the opening two-deep for the Cyclones and suddenly has their offense looking unstoppable. Brock saw the field a total of just one time and attempted zero passes prior to week six in an upset win over Oklahoma State. Brock followed up his gem against the Cowboys with a convincing 30-14 win over the undefeated and playoff hopeful Mountaineers of West Virginia. In just two games Purdy is already the Cyclones second-leading rusher. You heard that right! In his two meaningful appearances, Purdey has rushed for 131 yards and one score to go along with his seven passing touchdowns. His salary is more than forgiving, but there is loads of upside with his dual-threat abilities. Now with a week off to prepare and playing in front of the home crowd?. Cyclones roll. D'Eriq King -Houston DK 10200 Opponent South Florida Team Total - 44.25 King makes for an extremely interesting play Saturday. As the season progress pricing becomes more and more accurate and the punts are further and fewer between. This makes rostering a guy in this salary range difficult. At first glance, I passed right over King as I feel there are multiple players that offer similar or better value price considered. Then you look at the eye-popping total of 75 which is considerably higher than the other games on the slate. South Florida has had all kinds of issues on the defensive side of the ball the past couple weeks and so facing a guy like King is not exactly ideal for the Bulls. King does it all for the Cougars and he should be a major part of scoring on Saturday. His salary will surely create some difficult and risky decisions further down your roster, but in...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings – Week 8

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings - Week 8 Last week sure did muddy the waters with upsets across the entire slate, but one thing remains crystal clear: Alabama looks unstoppable. I have a theory on how to attack Alabama, but we’ll save that for another time. By my count, we had seven upsets and two almost upsets last week with a few of those having major playoff implications. This week isn't shaping up to be nearly as exciting with only Oklahoma and Clemson finding themselves in dangerous matchups. The Sooners need to remain perfect and settle matters in the Conference Championship game. Clemson has an easier road with all their difficult games being played at home with this week against NC State possibly their toughest challenge. Now let's get to the picks. Quarterback Trace McSorley -Penn State DK 8900 Opponent Indiana Team Total - 37.5 The past few weeks have been heartbreaking as a Nittany Lions fan, but that’s why we don't mix business with pleasure and I present to you Trace McSorley as your top business decision of the day. Some people will surely play Kyler Murray in this price range, and I get it, but I prefer to pair McSorley with Sanders for cash games. Penn State has a slightly higher implied total compared to Oklahoma and the savings will pay dividends further down your roster. Indiana is better than their record and will be waiting for a down Penn State squad who has lost their last two contests. That said, Indiana doesn't have the defense to keep McSorley & Co. off the scoreboard so it should be business as usual for the offense. Against mediocre competition, such as Indiana, Penn State’s offense has absolutely poured it on opposing defenses averaging over 55 points per game. The total of 61 feels low to me and I think the Nittany Lions get back on track offensively. McSorley is the focal point of the offense and I can see this game turning into a mild shootout with Penn State pulling away late. In Trace we trust. Shea Patterson -Michigan DK 6200 Opponent Michigan State Team Total - 24 There are a few guys at this price point we can choose from, such as Peyton Ramsey or Jake Browning, but I like the matchup for Patterson over the others. Michigan does two things extremely well; run the ball and stop the run. Michigan State does one thing extremely well; stop the run. With this game being played in East Lansing the front seven for the Spartans may have a little extra juice in their step and finding running room could prove difficult. Higdon performed well...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings – Week 7

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings - Week 7 We’re essentially at the halfway point and if the playoffs started today I would have Bama, Georgia, Notre Dame, and then it starts to get cloudy. Texas held off the Sooners' furious comeback to put themselves in the conversation. Ohio State moved to 6-0 with a comfortable win over Indiana. Clemson ran for over 450 yards against Wake Forest and West Virginia notched another double-digit win. We have quite a few teams in the top 25 with dangerous matchups this week: Washington at Oregon, UCF at Memphis, West Virginia at Iowa State, Wisconsin at Michigan and of course Georgia at LSU. That’s quite a bit going on there for several teams with playoff hopes.   Quarterback McKenzie Milton -UCF DK 10400 Opponent Memphis Team Total - 40.5 This is the first week I feel Draftkings really got the pricing correct throughout the entire slate. Milton comes in as the most expensive quarterback and at first glance, I felt there was better value further down the salary scale. That said, when we look at this matchup with Memphis, which has a generous total of 78, you can really start to make the argument that Milton is still the best place to dump salary. Milton averages 35 fantasy points per game with games of 41.8, 49.2, and 53.3 and none of his games this season have had as favorable a game script as this Saturday. McKenzie truly is the complete fantasy package we look for in a quarterback. He is offensive focal point and with dual-threat abilities, the floor is always high. Memphis has struggled on defense all season long, but haven’t had many issues scoring points. The reality is 78 may not be enough here and Milton could put together his best statistical game of the season. The salary is hard to stomach and will force you into finding some punt options, but it’s hard to argue with 5x potential at this salary. Skylar Thompson -Kansas State DK 5600 Opponent Oklahoma State Team Total - 27.75 On the other end of the salary spectrum is Skylar Thompson. It’s hard to feel safe rostering Thompson for your cash lineups, but the data suggests he’s the correct play at just $5600. This spot started with the same two sentences last week on Peyton Ramsey and boy did he deliver. Alex Delton missed last week’s game due to injury leaving all the snaps to Thompson. There is no word if Delton will be back so we need to keep an eye on the news, but Thompson is the better signal caller and should see an overwhelming majority of snaps even...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings – Week 6

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings - Week 6 We’re almost at the halfway point of the season if you can believe that. We know Alabama is dominating and would likely be double-digit favorites if the Championship game were to be played tomorrow. Georgia looks like the second-best team in the nation, again. And we think Notre Dame may have found their quarterback. But much of the college landscape is still up in the air. Week Six is highlighted by the Red River Rivalry where Oklahoma will look to keep their playoff hopes alive against Texas. This will be their 113th meeting dating back to October 10, 1900. Saturday caps off with Notre Dame taking on Virginia Tech in what could be a statement game for Ian Book and the Irish. Now let’s get down to business and break this slate down.   Quarterback Kyler Murray -Oklahoma DK 10200 Opponent Texas There are a few guys worthy of this top spot, but the nod goes to Murray. Many people will play Dwayne Haskins and I’ll certainly have my own exposure, but Murray runs whereas Haskins does not. At only $400 more I feel it’s worth the added safety of rushing production for the small bump in salary. Ohio State is projected for more points, but with such a high line and so many weapons, Haskins could get burned by early rushing touchdowns. As good as Oklahoma is, the production is largely dominated by Murray. The loss of Anderson has their run game in shuffle mode leaving Murray and the passing game to do much of the damage. So, even with a less favorable game script compared to Haskins I still prefer the production share advantage for Murray. Again, it’s close, real close. The Sooners are currently eight-point favorites with a total sitting right at 60, which feels a little low, but it is an emotional game so I can see it starting off slow offensively. Texas has shown a smidge of defensive swagger recently, but they haven’t faced an offense anywhere near as explosive as Oklahoma. This is going to be a stiff test for the Longhorns. On the flip side, Texas has shown a decent proficiency in the passing game and the Sooners have shown some susceptibility at defending the pass. Hence why the total feels a little low to me. I will certainly have exposure to multiple quarterbacks on the slate but in terms of cash, it's really hard to argue against Murray. Peyton Ramsey -Indiana DK 4900 Opponent Ohio State On the opposite end of the salary spectrum is Peyton Ramsey. It’s hard to feel safe rostering Ramsey for your cash...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings – Week 5

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks and Betting Spotlight (Premium) for DraftKings - Week 5 Another week in the books and another 20 point win for Bama. A quarter of the way through the season and it doesn’t look like anyone can stop this Tide from burying college campuses across America. Old Dominion the dragon slayer dropped Virginia Tech in a stunner while Oklahoma escaped a narrow one against Army to keep it’s playoff hopes alive. This week Texas Tech, who has scored 181 points in their last three games including wins over Houston and Oklahoma State, travels to Morgantown to face West Virginia in what is sure to be an excellent game. Duke will look to move to 5-0 with a win over the reeling Hokies. I predict North Texas will finish 14-0 and ranked in the top 25. And lastly, how will the new redshirt rule impact two deeps as players leave their teams and play as graduate transfers next season. Stay strapped in and enjoy the ride, cause we got you covered. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence -Clemson DK 8500 Opponent Syracuse Friday, October 13th, 2017: the scoreboard reads 27-24 and the game clock reads zeros. Down goes Frazier and Syracuse upsets #2 Clemson in a thriller. Something tells me even Dabo Swinney’s dog circled this one on the calendar. Lawrence will be making his first start after taking over for Kelly Bryant last week against Georgia Tech. Lawrence responded by chucking four touchdowns on just 18 pass attempts. Through four weeks, both quarterbacks have played in each game, but Trevor has largely outplayed Bryant and is tied for the ACC lead with nine touchdown passes on just 60 attempts, good for a ridiculous 15% touchdown rate. Keep in mind Bryant is 16-2 as a starter if that tells you anything about the talent Lawrence possesses. Swinney has already named Lawrence the starter for Saturday, but has not clarified Bryant’s new role or if he will play. There are mumblings that Bryant will redshirt and play as a graduate transfer next season, which would cement Lawrence as the top play on the board. Syracuse is allowing 13 points per game over its last three games. They were all against inferior opponents who didn’t want revenge. Dabo wants to unleash his new weapon and pile it on to make amends for last year’s blunder. Clemson wins big and Lawrence has a career day. Update: Kelly Bryant has announced he is transferring.  Tua Tagovailoa -Alabama DK 9000 Opponent Louisiana Immense upside with little downside. Alabama has been absolutely dominating teams and looks every bit of continuing their dynasty over college football. We are yet to see a full game out of...
