FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 1/28/21 After one of the biggest slates of the season on Wednesday, we have just four games here. It's going to be a fun one though because we have so much value out there. Whether it's injuries or COVID protocol, there are a ton of great players not playing among these eight teams. That will surely be a major theme in this article with so many guys stepping in, so, let's go ahead and get into it! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $9700 DK - $10600 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 52.4 DK - 54.87 There's always one big-name player who's owned in every lineup on a four-game slate and it should be Dame here. We say that because he is the Trail Blazers offense right now. Portland is currently missing Jusuf Nurkic, Robert Covington and C.J. McCollum which leaves Lillard to feast. With those three off the floor this season, Lillard has a usage rate approaching 40 percent while averaging 1.4 DK points per minute. That's certainly evident when you see that Lillard has at least 50 fantasy points in four-straight coming into this matchup. We haven't even talked about that matchup yet either, with Houston sitting seventh in pace and middle of the road defensively. Reggie Jackson FD - $5000 DK - $7000 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD - 33.12 DK - 34.12 While this DraftKings price is a bit lofty for us, this FanDuel price is ridiculous. The simple fact is, Jackson is the go-to guy in Los Angeles right now. We say that because they're currently without Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Patrick Beverley. That forced Reggie into the starting lineup on Tuesday, providing 20 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 39 minutes of action. That's the guy we remember from his Detroit days and his usage should continue to be monstrous with so many big-name players out of the lineup. Miami is not the defense we used to be scared of either, ranked 21st in defensive efficiency. Delon Wright has been the primary ball-handler in Detroit and remains a good value around $6K. Shooting Guard Kendrick Nunn FD - $6200...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Thursday, 1/7/21

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 1/7/21 The 11-game slate on Wednesday was completely nuts. The player pool was so big, that it made it tough to make the perfect lineup. In any case, it was a solid night with recommendations like Domantas Sabonis, Elfrid Payton, and Clint Capela. This Thursday slate is much more manageable though, with only five games on the ledger. These are my favorite types of nights for the NBA because there's enough diversity in the player pool while not being too overwhelming. With that in mind, let's get into it! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $10000 DK - $9600 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 58.08 DK - 60.29 If the first game without Kevin Durant is any indication, Irving is about to be a freak for the next week. On Tuesday without him, Irving provided 29 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals, doing that damage in just three quarters of action. That's still 50 fantasy points and he was well on his way to 60 or 70 if that game stayed competitive. That should certainly be the case here, with the Sixers entering this matchup as a 2.5-point favorite. What we really like is that he took 19 shots and posted a 31 percent usage rate which is likely his floor in this expanded role. Just keep using Irving as long as KD is out. Tyus Jones FD - $5400 DK - $5600 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 27.11 DK - 25.93 Jones has been starting at point guard ever since Ja Morant went down and he's been doing better than this price would indicate. In the five games since Morant's injury, Jones has scored at least 25 DraftKings points in four of them, averaging over 26 DK points per game. That doesn't sound too dominant but it's a really good floor from a player sitting in the mid-$5,000s. What adds to his intrigue here is the matchup, facing a Cleveland backcourt without Darius Garland and Dante Exum. We're also looking at a 4.5-point spread and that should force Jones into at least 30 minutes in what should be a close game. Dejounte Murray is a...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday, 11/5/19

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 11/5/19 After a big-scoring Monday in the Association, things might calm down a bit here on Tuesday with some more defensively sound squads taking the court. Let's check out some of the FanDuel and DraftKings value out there on a six-game slate. Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our NFL Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kemba Walker FD - $9100 DK - $8500Opponent - CLEProj Pts FD - 45.82 DK - 47.06 Walker’s had a nice run of games in the short term, two of them without Jaylen Brown in the lineup. The latter will sit again on Tuesday leaving some usage and minutes to go around for the Boston guards/ wings in this matchup. In close games, the plan appears to play Walker around 37 minutes and that gives him such a high floor even with the fantasy production a bit reliant on his real-life scoring. Cleveland doesn’t play at that fast of a pace, but they are a bottom-third defensive efficiency team this year and have particular trouble matching opposing guards with Sexton and Garland in the backcourt. This is a great spot for Kemba and considering the nature of the slate, I do think he sees significant ownership. Jamal Murray FD - $6500 DK - $6500Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 33.24 DK - 34.5 Murray’s minutes have been rather consistent to start the season and he’s putting up nearly an identical line to last year for the Nuggets. As a labeled point guard, the assist numbers will never be all that robust considering most of the offense runs through Nikola Jokic, but Murray can still knock down the three when given the chance. He’s taking about five attempts from beyond the arc and does actually rebound the position okay with five boards per game. Miami’s pace is much higher this year than in seasons past and they rank sixth at 108.5. That beings said, the Heat are very good on defense, so this isn’t necessarily an ideal matchup. But point guard is a bit thin and this is a defensive kind of slate for sure. Other thoughts Markelle Fultz (FD 4700 DK 4000) moved into the starting lineup for the Magic on Saturday, but it didn’t translate to many...

Here's what James wrote about this matchup the other day, and given that Draymond Green wasn't suspended, it still holds true. Golden State Warriors at Oklahoma City Thunder Analysis The hay-makers in this series, my god. Westbrook and Durant responded to a game 2 drubbing by pitching simultaneous perfect games. 20-34 from the field, and 21-23 from the line. I'm still speechless. Is it possible that the Thunder had the highest ceiling of any team all along, because they have two guys that can put up games like this, and not just one? Now, as you can probably guess by now, this actually doesn't change our projections a whole heck of a lot. Minutes go haywire in blowouts, and the guys we figured would be good on a per-minute basis pretty much were. As for the worry about future blowouts, I suspect things will regulate somewhat and we'll get a high-speed thriller instead of a lopsided blowout. I don't blame you if you just want to grab as many pieces from this game as you can, since they're still pretty reasonably priced. Top Plays Stephen Curry - FD 9900 DK 10700 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 52.41 DK Proj. Pts - 56.83 Curry's final line looked generally crappy in game 3, but on a per-minute basis it wasn't a whole lot worse than what he'd been doing earlier in the series. If you think he's going to go 2 days listening to hot takes about how he might be the third best player in this series! then you're sorely mistaken. He's still very reasonably priced and should be a favorite to put up 5x+ points per dollar in this game. Klay Thompson - FD 7400 DK 7900 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 37.31 DK Proj. Pts - 41.42 The minutes are headed in the wrong direction here, but I think we saw what Golden State wants to do with Klay in game 1. 40+...

This is the same information that James wrote up yesterday as it still applies since Game 1 is tonight Toronto Raptors at the Cleveland Cavaliers Analysis Could these two teams be coming into this game with more different post-season experiences thus far? The Raptors have played fully 6 more games than the Cavaliers over the same stretch of time, and are missing their starting center. They've been in back to back rock fights, reserving really any good play until game 7 of the Heat series, when their guards finally went off. So am I crazy for saying I don't hate Toronto's chances to at least keep it close in these games? The Cavs are relatively weak when it comes to back-court defense, and the Raptors went out and got Demarre Carroll specifically for match-ups like LeBron. The Raptors shouldn't need to rely on Valanciunas' low post scoring here, and Biyombo is actually a welcome defensive presence down low for them here. Top Plays LeBron James - FD 9800 DK 10800 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 53.41 DK Proj. Pts - 55.54 LeBron nearly averaged a triple double in the last two games of the Hawks series, and while the Raptors play quite a bit more slowly than the Hawks, the Hawks make up for some of their fast play by having the 2nd highest defensive efficiency in the league. When healthy, Carroll is a tougher defender than anyone who guarded LeBron on the Hawks, but he isn't. I don't know that LeBron has huge upside here, but he seems awfully safe. Kyrie Irving - FD 7100 DK 8200 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 38.54 DK Proj. Pts - 40.66 Kevin Love - FD 7500 DK 8400 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 36.35 DK Proj. Pts - 38.79 The other two Cleveland stars are simply underpriced, here. The Raptors were the toughest match-up in the league for opposing point guards this season, but...
