Poston(-22) 2018 - Brandt Snedeker(-21) Top Targets Russell Henley FedEx Cup Rank (#34) Vegas Odds (20/1) DraftKings ($10,200) FanDuel ($11,600) I will ignore the missed cut at the OPEN and pay for the consistent Henley we saw before the season's final major. Before that quick trip for a couple of rounds at Royal Liverpool, Henley had made nine of his previous 10 cuts with seven Top 25 finishes. That success was a direct result of some red-hot irons as he ranks #1 in this field in SG: Approach over the last 24 rounds and to go with it he ranks 9th in fairways gained. That is a great combination for Sedgefield and it has shown as Henley returns with Top 10's in three straight years here. He is my top play in the top tier this week. Aaron Rai FedEx Cup Rank (#61) Vegas Odds (35/1) DraftKings ($8,600) FanDuel ($10,200) This range of pricing is loaded with players who are dangerously close to the bubble to get into the playoffs and will need solid weeks to solidify their spots. Rai is one of them as he has been climbing fast with some nice form with Top 25 finishes in five of his last six events with two Top 10's mixed in, as well. He is not only one of just three players who rank Top 10 in fairways gained and SG: Approach in the short term but during this hot stretch he has gained strokes in every SG category three times. I don't just think he will make the playoffs, I feel he can really improve...

He now returns to Sedgefield CC where he has enjoyed nothing but success with a T24, T9, and T6 in three trips and what really stands out is the fact he leads the outright odds market yet is fourth in fantasy pricing on FanDuel and DraftKings. All things considered, Im is my favourite top-tier DFS play this week in all formats. Denny McCarthy FedEx Cup Rank (#40) Vegas Odds (35/1) Draftkings ($8,900) FanDuel ($9,800) I am high on a balanced approach this week and will have a lot of exposure to both Si Woo and McCarthy but if choosing just one, I lean toward the latter for a couple of reasons. First of all, both are in play for cash and I will likely pair them together but for GPP, in my opinion, we are going to get an ownership discount on Denny after missed cuts in two of his last three events including last week at the Rocket Mortgage where he was higher owned. I am not concerned as he surrounded those MC's with three Top 10 finishes and has made 19 of his last 22 cuts overall. While he hasn't had the same success as Si Woo here at Sedgefield, he has still been good making the cut all four trips with a Top 10 and three Top...

With all four major championships, the Olympic event, and the WGC events out of the way, the FedEx Cup Playoffs are now the center of attention. Before the three-event playoff begins there is one more opportunity for those outside the Top 125 to get in and that takes the Tour to Sedgefield Country Club for the Wyndham Championship. With so many of the big names and top players in the world coming off busy summer schedules and already locked into the playoffs, we have a somewhat weaker field this week. The narrative is strong for those around the cutline so let's take a look at a few players right around the bubble: 123rd - Patrick Rodgers 124th - matt Kuchar 125th - Bo Hoag 126th - Scott Piercy 127th - Nate Lashley From a DFS perspective, this event is a birdie fest with a winning score of -21 or lower in five straight years. In terms of distance(7,131 yards), the course is on the shorter side of things and like last week has a lack of straight holes which often forces placement and accuracy off the tee which is why we see a lot of less-than-driver. Looking at past leaderboards and correlation data, it shows that accuracy is much more important than distance this week. Hitting a ton of greens isn't necessarily going to get it done this week either. Sedgefield CC has one of the highest GIR rates on Tour year in and year out so I will be looking at not only Strokes Gained: Approach but also Fairway Proximity, mid-iron Proximity(125-150 & 150-175), and overall Proximity. Then it will come down to who has the hottest putter. The Course Sedgefield Country Club Par 70 - 7,131 Yards Greens - Bermuda Previous Five Winners 2020 - Jim Herman(-21) 2019 - J.T. The first major championship of the season most definitely did not disappoint as we Collin Morikawa capture his first career major. He was one of just six players to shoot all four rounds in the 60's including a 65/64 on the weekend. The shot of the tournament and probably the entire season came on driveable hole #16 where he hit a driver to within seven and converted the Eagle, take a two-shot lead, and eventually seal the deal. Before getting into this week, let's take a look at the final round highlights. While the field won't be the same level this week, the pressure doesn't stop as the Tour heads to Sedgefield Country Club for the Wyndham Championship and final event before the FedEx Cup Playoffs begin. Only the Top 125 get in so let's  look at a couple of players in and around the bubble: 120th - Tom Lewis 121st - Si Woo Kim 122nd - Fabian Gomez 123rd - Bo Hoad 124th - Russell Knox 125th - Charl Schwartzel 126th - Bronson Burgoon 127th - Chase Seiffert 128th - Nick Watney 129th - Zach Johnson 130th - Kyle Stanley This week's field is led by three(Webb, Brooks, Reed) of the Top 10 players in the World and while Simpson/Reed are here as former winners of the event, Brooks is here to move up in the standings as he comes in siting 92nd overall. Sedgefield Country Club is a Donald Ross-designed Par 70 listed at 7,237 yards on the scorecard and will play much different than last week. Over the last five years, the course has ranked 41st, 40th, 37th, 37th, and...

Wyndham Championship With just one week left in the regular season, the PGA Tour heads to Sedgefield Country Club for the Wyndham Championship. For those golfers outside the Top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings, it will be their final opportunity to play their way into the Northern Trust next week. For reference, I have added the FedEx Cup rankings to the sheet. Sedgefield CC is a Donald Ross designed Par 70 that is just over 7,100 yards. Off the tee, golfers will see narrow fairways with risk-reward options on some holes in terms of how much you want to challenge the water/creeks. This, as designed by Ross, puts a ton of emphasis on not only hitting the fairway but positioning yourself for a clear approach shot. After a strong mix of ball striking stats in my model, I will be adding some scrambling and a lot of weight to birdie or better % as the average winning score has been -20 over the last five years. For Par 4 scoring, I will be looking at the 400-450 yard range as eight of the 12 holes fall into this distance range. There are only two Par 5's on the course but they are, by far, the easiest holes on the course and with a ton of eagles made on these holes, I will be looking at Par 5 Birdie or Better % not just Par 5 scoring. With that, let's jump in and look at some course info and trends and then some core plays in each price range.
