Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

San Francisco Giants vs. Tyler Chatwood (Rockies)
Park - Coors Field

Welcome back to Coors everyone! Feels like forever since we’ve been in it’s high altitude sweetness. The Giants come into town with their prices jacked up across the industry but still very much in play considering the overall run expectation. Tyler Chatwood will try his damndest to induce ground balls, his 59% GB% makes him extreme in this profile and it’s really his only hope pitching in Coors. But with the o/u opening at 10.5 and the Giants only slight dogs, they have one of the highest expected totals on the day. Basically everyone is in play for San Fran here. Joe Panik is especially cheap if he’s hitting at the top of the order today. But Buster Posey and Denard Span also have high expectations going in.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. John Lamb (Reds)
Park - Miller Park

The Brewers could really give John Lamb trouble on Friday coming in with one of the highest expected run totals on the day. It makes sense. They have some righty power in the middle of the lineup and are coming on the cheaper side of things. Lamb’s been on the worse side of awful this season with a 5.38 xFIP while walking more than four batters per nine. And he’s coupled that with a greatly reduced strikeout rate. Things aren’t looking good for he and his long, flowing blond hair as it takes the mound today. Ryan Braun in the middle of the lineup looks especially dangerous as he’s putting up an excellent season with a 1.000 OPS and career numbers better against lefties. Jonathan Lucroy and Chris Carter also add some power expectation in the middle of the lineup.

Also Consider - Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Christian Friedrich
