Pitching Targets

*Note - I discussed Stephen Strasburg, Matt Harvey and Jason Hammel in the Main Article today and will list a few more options for the slate below*

Lance McCullers FD 8800 DK 10300
Opponent - TB (Andriese) Park - @TB
FD - 34.8 DK - 22.92

With all the great options on the mound today there could be a few guys who come in under owned and make great tournament options. McCullers is one of these pitchers. He is a much better play on FanDuel under $9K than he is on DraftKings where he is a bit over priced but playable on both and comes with big upside. He has won three straight starts for the Astros striking out 26 batters in the process and limiting the opposition to a .227 average. He gets a great matchup today vs. the Rays who rank 18th in wOBA and 3rd in strikeout rate(25.1%) vs. right handed pitching.

Chris Sale FD 11100 DK 11800
Opponent - KC (Kennedy) Park - @CHW
FD - 37.66 DK - 24.83

Looking at the projections for Fanduel and DraftKings, Sale comes in as the third highest projected pitcher when looking at overall points today. His salary is over $11K and with the other elite pitchers in a similar range he may be overlooked. After winning his first nine starts of the season he hit a road block and has now lost two of his last three starts giving up four or more earned run sin tow of those starts. He faced the Royals on the 29th of May picking up a no decision after pitching seven innings and giving up just two earned runs while striking out seven batters. The Royals are a much better team vs. right handed pitching(ranked 8th) than they are vs. southpaws(ranked 22nd) so take the savings and build a strong lineup around him.
