Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks FanDuel & DraftKings 8/27/16

Welcome to our daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. We covered our system's top value plays in our daily picks article and pitching breakdown but here we will look at other dudes to consider.

In case you didn’t notice, on Saturday we released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and Player Lab which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s a robust set of tools; well beyond anything we’ve ever had and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

Using tools like these for the NFL season is crucial and you can grab a free 2 WEEK trial to test out yourself.

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!

Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Zach Neal (OAK)

Zach Neal only has 39.1 innings of work in the big leagues, and it's been an interesting start to say the least. He owns a marvelous 1.2 BB%, but also only strikes out 8% of the batters he faces. In simple terms; he's a guy that pitches to contact.

Not only does he pitch to contact, but he has also struggled so far in the majors. He's sporting an ERA over 5 and opponents own a .292 AVG against him. He's also given up 16 hits in his last two outings; so don't be surprised if the Red Birds fill up that hits column tonight. They are in a perfect position to put the ball in play and drive in a lot of runs tonight. They are my sneaky stack of the night!

My top 4 guys to stack: My top 4 guys to stack: Brandon Moss, Randal Grichuk, Stephen Piscotty and Jedd Gyorko.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Zack Godley(ARI)

The Reds are on fuego and Zack Godley is frio. What more could you ask for?

In the last 14 days, the Reds own a .344 wOBA to go along with a 112 wRC+. They are hitting the ball well and are executing by scoring runs. They are doing everything you would want in a stack, and the best part is -- they will be playing at Chase Field. Also know as, "Baby Coors."

Ok -- I'm not entirely sure if playing at "Baby Coors" is the best reason behind stacking the Reds, or the fact they will be going up against Godley and his 5.53 ERA. Whatever the case may be, they are in play!

My top 4 guys to stack: Jose Peraza, Joey Votto, Adam Duvall and Eugenio Suarez.

Cleveland Indians vs. A.J. Griffin (TEX)

The Indians are always in play, and today is no different. Today, they will be going up against right-hander, A.J. Griffin, who has struggled this season. He is coming into this contest sporting a 4.68 ERA along with a 4.92 xFIP. Not only is his xFIP close to 5, but opponents also own a 38.1% hard contact rate against him. It's safe to say things have not all that pretty for Griffin, which makes stacking the Indians an excellent option.

[Wait] -- there’s more!

Not only has Griffin struggled this season, but the bullpen has as well! On the year, the Rangers' relievers are sporting a 4.85 ERA (4th in MLB). If you thought it was a great idea to stack against Griffin, well the bullpen just puts the icing on the cake then! Do your thing, Indians!

My top 4 guys to stack: Carlos Santana, Jason Kipnis, Jose Ramirez and Mike Napoli.
