Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/11/17

Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it!

Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight.

By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below!

What We Know

The Spurs and Warriors are in a battle of the benches tonight.
Coach Kerr wants to give his big guns some rest, sitting Steph, Klay, Draymond, and Andre gives them three days rest until their next game on Tuesday night. With Kevin Durant already out, the Warriors are down to nine active players. Shaun Livingston, Matt Barnes and Kevon Looney should all most likely find themselves starting. On the other end the Spurs were already coming in missing Kawhi, then this morning announced LaMarcus Aldridge will be out indefinitely with a heart arrhythmia, while Tony Parker and Dejounte Murray will sit tonight with various ailments. Though the starters have not yet been announced, Pau Gasol, David Lee, Manu Ginobili and Patty Mills all become much more intriguing plays tonight for San Antonio. Also worth noting, Kyle Anderson is available for the Spurs as well, and could potentially draw the start for Leonard at SF.

Nerlens Noel is out for Dallas tonight, J.J. Barea expect to play.
Barea playing is really just worth noting, without much fantasy impact. Noel however will miss his second consecutive contest with a sore left knee. With the Mavs on a back to back, it's conceivable that Dirk could sit this one out as well, or even be limited, in which case Dwight Powell and to a lesser extent Salah Mejri could see increased playing time.

Dwight Howard will rest tonight for the Hawks.
With tonight being the Hawks fifth game in seven nights, they will sit out Dwight Howard tonight to rest. Mike Muscala or Ersan Ilyasova could draw the start in his place. Ilyasova, who has preformed well for the Hawks since coming over from Philly could prove to be a sneaky tournament option if he starts even in a tough match up against the Grizzlies.

Nikola Vucevic will start for the Magic tonight.
The Magic have announced Vucevic will start tonight after missing 4 games with a sore achilles. This will send Bismack Biyombo back to the bench making him unplayable at his current price. I would hold off on rostering Vucevic until we are sure he is completely healthy.

What We're Waiting to Know

Frank Kaminsky is a game time decision against the Pelicans.
The Pelicans have been evaluating the Tank on a day to day basis. He missed his fourth game last night and could be in line to miss number five tonight. With Miles Plumlee and Johnny O'Bryant already riled out, Kaminsky's continued absence would mean Cody Zeller and Marvin Williams will continue to see extended run in the Hornets front court.

The "Every Lineup" Guys

Anthony Davis
Last night we wrote up LaMarcus as the top play at power forward and left Anthony Davis out, but with today's news coming about Aldridge being ruled out indefinitely, along with all of the value plays popping up across the board tonight it becomes quite easy to fit brow in as one of the top plays of the night snd our system is putting him everywhere. The arrival of DeMarcus Cousins to the bayou hasn't hurt AD's performance in the slightest and as always his worse enemy remains the injury bug. Davis left after 17 minutes against the Raptors on Wednesday after hitting his wrist on the rim, the X-rays were negative and he is cleared to go tonight, but just bear that in mind if you're worried about the safety factor. As long as he truly is fine, and gives a full game performance the brow is in a great spot tonight against the Hornets who are near the bottom third of the league defensively againt opposing fours in a contest projected to be fast paced with no blowout risk.

Kemba Walker
Coming from the same game is the Hornets point guard Kemba Walker. This is what I wrote about Kemba in the picks article: Last night not withstanding (he only saw 24 minutes in a 40 point blowout of the Magic) Walker has been one of the most consistent names in daily fantasy these past few weeks, paying value in 8 of his last ten prior to the Magic game, seeing an average of 38.3 minutes in that span. Tonight Charlotte hosts the Pelicans who are a bottom 5 defense at point guard allowing 7% more points, 9% more rebounds and 9% more assists than league average to the position. I stand by the assessment that Kemba should have little trouble returning to form tonight and the system agrees, locking him as the primary point guard in the majority of tonight's top line ups.
