For my top stack tonight, I turn to the D-Backs who have seen their implied run total climb since I wrote the article last night. Looking at the projection system, they sit about tied with the Red Sox with over 5.5 projected runs and I think they also come at a bit of an ownership discount with the Red Sox being a very public team. It has been well documented this season that the D-Backs have struggled for the most part vs. southpaws after leading the league last year but I am not looking a whole lot into it as they have added pieces(JD Martinez) and have been much better in the second half. Then there is the matchup vs. Ty Blach who has struggled on the road(5.50 ERA, .369 wOBA against) and has given up six earned runs in each of his last two starts. Load up on the desert snakes!

I can't help myself here with my favorite team. They have been a disaster to target for stacking all season as they rank in the bottom third when looking at overall runs scored but it's hard to argue the power upside in their lineup. It really comes down to the matchup today as they get to take their swings vs. 44-year-old Bartolo Colon who appears to be on his last legs and those legs appear to be screaming for him to hang it up. He has flashed at times(very generous words) this season but overall has been terrible with a satanic 6.66 ERA and has given up three home runs in each of his last two starts.

If we are going to fit a couple top pitchers in our lineups tonight it doesn't mean we can't stack, it just means we need to find a value team with upside. Enter the Oakland Athletics who have no hitters over $4K on FanDuel and just two(Joyce/Lowrie) on DraftKings. They sit mid-pack when looking at wOBA and wRC+ vs. right-handed pitching but what stands out is the 3rd rank in ISO(.195) which is where the upside comes from. It also helps that they get a plus matchup vs. A.J. Griffin who has given up three or more home runs in three of his last seven starts and hasn't struck out more than four in a start since the beginning of May.
