Kyle Hendricks FD 8000 DK 9700
Opponent - PHI (Lively) Park - @PHI
FD - 32.84 DK - 21.55

We have 2 different slates here and both of them have a lot of interesting options. Jerry touched on 2 guys from the early slate, so you're covered there. He also touched on Mike Clevinger and Madison Bumgarner from this main slate, While those are definitely the guys you want to look at, we have 2 solid pivots in Kyle Hendricks and Brad Peacock. Starting with Hendricks, he's very safe. On a slate like this, there is nothing more valuable. He'll definitely give up a couple runs in most starts, but typically figures it out and goes a minimum of 6 or 7 innings. The Phillies are one of the weakest offenses in the entire league and have backed it up with a .306 wOBA against righties. They strikeout almost 2% of the time and don't offer much in terms of stacking up runs. They do have some power swingers like Rhys Hoskins, Maikel Franco, and Tommy Joseph, that guys will K 8 times every time they HR. I'm willing to sacrifice a possible HR or two, that will probably be solo. Hendricks is going to get it done in cash games and he won't hurt you in tournaments. On a slate without much to offer, Hendricks is a solid way to go.

Brad Peacock FD 8400 DK 10900
Opponent - LAA (Skaggs) Park - @LAA
FD - 31.22 DK - 20.68

Full disclosure, you won't find Brad Peacock under my name today. Clevinger, Bumgarner, and Hendricks are the 3 guys I will be riding in both cash games and tournaments. With that being said, there is no arguing the merit Peacock has in tournaments. First things first, he's pretty good. He's given up a .272 combined wOBA and has struck out over 11 batters per 9 in the process. He heavily leans on his slider against righties and his change against lefties, while also throwing a 95 MPH cutter. This slate is full of so-so pitches, so getting your hands on a solid arm is nice. He also has a pretty safe match-up with the Angels in Angels Stadium. It's one of the worst parks for run production and the Angels aren't very good in their own right. One thing I will say is they don't K very much, at just 20%. Peacock is also a bit expensive, which is why I'll be avoiding him. Either way, he's a solid option and should be relatively low-owned.
