Luis Severino FD 10000 DK 12000
Opponent - BAL (Ynoa) Park - @NYY
FD - 38.93 DK - 25.53
Chris covered Sale, Ray, and Morton in the main picks article, and no doubt Sale will be the chalk of the night with those other two making for excellent pivots. If you want to dig a little deeper then look to the Yanks' Severino. Since getting beat up on by the Red Sox just over a month ago, Severino has made a true return to form absolutely dominating in five straight starts. Through that stretch he has averaged nine strikeouts while limiting opponents to one run or less in all but one start. The FanDuel price is a season high, though the DraftKings price has dipped just ever so slightly since his last time out. Despite the Orioles holding a .323 wOBA which is just about average at this point in the season, and Severino having the strongest opening line at -220 I'm just a bit hesitant to call Severino safe in hitters heaven Yankee Stadium, against a Baltimore team leading the majors with 223 bombs this season, but he has just as much upside as anybody on the hill today.

Trevor Bauer FD 8700 DK 9200
Opponent - KC (Vargas) Park - @CLE
FD - 34.17 DK - 22.47
Pitching is a real bear on this slate as I don't see any arms outside of the top tier that fill me with confidence. Next up we have Trevor Bauer and the can't stop, won't stop Indians. Now winners of 22 straight games the Tribe have all but locked up the AL Central and just keep on that roll into the history books. Bauer has won five straight outings, allowing nine runs in that time dating back to an August 19th shut out of these same Royals who happen to be a bottom ten team this season with a .313 team wOBA. The upside may be hard to come by as KC only strikeout 19.4% of the time against right handed pitching, but with an opening line of -235 and a sub 10K price tag across the industry Bauer is in consideration in all formats.

Alex Wood FD 9200 DK 8000
Opponent - WSH (Jackson) Park - @WSH
FD - 31.09 DK - 20.68
Feeling adventurous? If not then just click the back button and return to the home page, we're all done here, but if you've got the stomach for it, then allow me to talk up Alex Wood. At first Glance Wood looks like a top play on the day, his season numbers are solid, a K per inning guy with a 3.24 xFIP that rivals anyone on the slate. Upon closer inspection we see Wood suffering down the stretch the same as the Dodgers as a team have been, they're currently 3-12 in the month. In that time Wood has followed up a stint on the DL with two starts, allowing nine earned runs in 11 innings pitched. Thing's don't get any better traveling east into D.C. to face the Nationals. Wood is a -145 favorite against Edwin Jackson, and the Nationals who have already locked up their division seem content to just ride out the season until October arrives. The Dodger's meanwhile have a playoff spot locked up but are trying to keep their hold on the division. They've won two straight, so it seems as though they're righting the ship, hopefully Wood can as well. Until I see that he has, I won't let Wood anywhere near my cash games, but for tournaments, particularly as an SP2 on DraftKings, lock him in then just take some antacids.
