Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks FanDuel & DraftKings 8/30/16

Welcome to our daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. We covered our system's top value plays in our daily picks article and pitching breakdown but here we will look at other dudes to consider.

In case you didn’t notice, on Saturday we released our brand new NFL DFS suite of tools including full projections, optimal NFL lineups and Player Lab which includes filters to help you create NFL lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s a robust set of tools; well beyond anything we’ve ever had and something we feel will help our users *ahem* tackle the NFL season.

Using tools like these for the NFL season is crucial and you can grab a free 2 WEEK trial to test out yourself.

A quick heads up - we post an updates article every day in the early afternoon, EST, to catch everyone up on how things are changing as a result of whatever news has come through. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there!

Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good.

Stack Targets

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Ubaldo Jimenez (BAL)

Yes guys, I got the Jays as my top stack again tonight. I know you've seen these guys in my stacks picks the last couple of days, but the good news is that they have produced! I like them again today. Not only because they have been crushing it (top 3 in ISO and wOBA last 14 games), but they also draw an elite matchup against the one-and-only, Ubaldo Jimenez.

For starters, Jimenez has not been good this season (not trying to be mean). He is coming into today's contest boasting a 6.62 ERA to go along with a 1.85 WHIP and 12.3 BB%. Do you guys see why I love to pick Jimenez? The numbers speak for themselves.

I know you guys know the famous "Mike Pelfrey Day" and I got some excellent news: I spoke with the House of Holliday's (obviously not real) and they approved of the "Happy Ubaldo Jimenez Day" So today is a Holliday! Grab a cake, some candles and juice before heading to work and make sure to celebrate! P.S. make sure you take the party hats! Happy Ubaldo Jimenez day everyone!

Sorry guys -- just having some fun.

My top 4 guys to stack: Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson and Melvin Upton.

Atlanta Braves vs. Edwin Jackson(SD)

The Braves' offense had been completely dead all season long, but not anymore! They have been on a roll as of late and I don't see the presence of, Edwin Jackson, on the mound slowing them down.

Jackson is another guy who has been awful on the mound this season and I don't see it getting any better tonight. This season, he owns 11.2 BB% along with a 5.61 xFIP (Yikes). He gives up way too many free passes, which is part of the reason why his ERA and xFIP are so high. We all love free passes when picking a pitcher to stack against; not only do you get points for walks, but when they score -- you get points for runs and RBI. It doesn't get much better than this, so go ahead and grab some Braves' hitters tonight.

My top 4 guys to stack: Freddie Freeman, Ender Inciarte, Matt Kemp and Nick Markakis.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Jered Weaver (LAA)

The last team on the list today is the Cincinnati Reds. I know Weaver delivered a quality start in his last outing, but I don't expect him to do it again today. He'll be going up a Reds' offense that's hotter than my coffee (.347 wOBA/ 114 wRC+ in last 14 contests), so don't be surprised if they put on a show tonight.

Not only are the Reds hot, but Weaver has also been pretty bad this season. He owns a 5.90 xFIP and opponents own a .307 AVG against him. I expect a lot of runs and hits from this Reds' squad so go ahead and load up on them if you like them as well. In other words, you're not alone!

My top 4 guys to stack: Joey Votto, Jose Peraza, Scott Schebler and Adam Duvall.
