Pitchers

Chris Archer FD 9600 DK 9600
Opponent - TOR (Liriano) Park - @TB
FD - 38.14 DK - 25.04

Looking at the DFSR tools this morning with all things considered besides the Jays lineup, Archer sits right near the top in raw point projections. It makes perfect sense as the Rays are currently -150 favorites at home tonight where they have been much better overall with a 10-5 record. They also get an elite matchup vs.(this is hard to say as a Jays fan) the offensively challenged Blue Jays who rank 27th in overall runs scored this year. It helps Archer in a big way that the Jays are without two of their best hitters in Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki which leaves the rest of the lineup looking pretty grim. Not only do they not score runs, but they strike out over 20% of the time vs. right-handed pitching and Archer comes with an excellent swing and miss profile. He has averaged over a 10 K/9 rate for his career and while it is down a bit to start the 2017 season, 8.5 is still well above league average. He held the Jays to four hits and one earned run through 7.1 innings in his last start and should have no issue handling them again tonight.

Chad Kuhl FD 6700 DK 5700
Opponent - MIL (Nelson) Park - @PIT
FD - 27.6 DK - 18.21

If you are looking to get a little frisky tonight in GPP's take a look at Chad Kuhl who sits right at the top of the PTS/$ value rankings on the projection system. Why you ask? Well, while the Brewers do have offensive upside(3rd in overall runs scored), they are missing their top hitter in Ryan Braun and overall as a team they strike out the second-most among all teams vs. right-handed pitching. Kuhl doesn't profile as a big-time strikeout pitcher but does sit slightly above league average and will definitely get a boost tonight. Another positive is that the Pirates offense has been hot and should be able to provide some backing to help get him the win. Even on FanDuel where the cost is a bit higher, he makes sense as he has twice recorded a quality start this season.  Using him as a SP2 on DraftKings opens up a huge window to get some of the top bats in your lineups tonight, and there are plenty.
