We've got you completely covered. Minnesota Twins We're winding down, with just over a week left in the season, teams have about 10 games to go, while some knew weeks ago that their October calendar was going to be wide open, others are still fighting for their division, or even just the chance to sneak in as a wildcard. We're going to look at three teams tonight that are still fighting for something, and have the opportunity to do so against some questionable pitching. We'll start out with Minnesota. The Twins are in Detroit against the Tigers who already have tee times set for the first week of October. Daniel Norris returns to starting duties for the Tigers after a brief move to the bullpen. Norris has been less than impressive as a starter for Detroit picking up just four wins in 16 starts this season a 5.38 ERA and a 5.04 xFIP which ranks among the worst in the majors. To his credit he doesn't give up a ton of long balls, but a 1.67 WHIP tells us all we need to know about Norris. The Twins are clinging to the last wildcard spot and need every win they can get moving forward. Brian Dozier has been crushing lefties to the tune of a .419 wOBA this season, with five home runs hit this month and should be the center of any Twins stack. Top stacking options: Brian Dozier, Joe Mauer, Jorge Polanco, Eduardo Escobar Arizona Diamondbacks The Diamondbacks most likely will not be winning the west despite the September swoon of the Dodgers who have the division all but wrapped up despite playing so poorly in the final month of the season, but Arizona is still holding on to a solid lead in the top wildcard spot. They'll look to build on the lead with a weekend series at home against the Marlins. Like Daniel Norris above, Conley is just not an impressive pitcher and will be clearly outmatched against the likes of Paul Goldschmidt (.305/.410/.576 slash line) and A.J. Pollock (.363 wOBA vs LHP). Conley brings a 38.1% hard...

We've got you completely covered. Chris gave you Zack Greinke, Jon Gray, and Michael Wacha in the main picks article, here we are going to look at some solid GPP pivots you may want to consider. Rich Hill FD 9100 DK 9400 Opponent - SF (Samardzija) Park - @LADFD - 37.22 DK - 24.28 The Dodgers are hobbling into the postseason, going 6-15 in September, and just dropping three of four in Philly of all places, but now they've returned back to the west coast and will open a weekend series hosting the Giants who if you've been paying attention are one of the worst offenses in the game. San Francisco comes into tonight's contest with a .295 team wOBA regardless of the split which is ranked dead last in the majors. They've been hacking away down the stretch as well, striking out 22.5% of the time. This makes for a great time to buy in on Rich Hill. Hill, if you recall, had a no hitter going into the tenth against the Pirates last month until a bad pitch to Josh Harrison. He followed that up with back to back starts against Arizona, getting owned in Chase Field before dominating at home. Hill comes to the mound today with 10.79 K/9 and a .261 BABIP which keeps him ranked among some guys named Kluber and Kershaw. Trevor Bauer FD 8800 DK 9000 Opponent - SEA (Ramirez) Park - @SEAFD - 33.54 DK - 22.05 Unlike the Dodgers, the Indians have been steamrolling their way into the postseason. The Tribe have won 27 of their last 28 games, and though that sole loss came on Trevor Bauer's watch in his last start, we can't fault him one off outing, particularly when it comes on the heels of five straight quality starts, four of which garnered wins. Bauer will take to the hill in Safeco Field, one of the more favorable pitcher parks on the slate against the Mariners. Seattle has been the epitome of average this season with a .320 wOBA and 101 wRC+, they aren't the easiest team to target for strikeouts either,...

We've got you completely covered. Colorado Rockies The Rockies are at home tonight in Coors Field against a lefty. That's really all that needs to be said, but you took the time to click on this article, so I should give you something more for your time and efforts, eh? Okay, so, Colorado is hosting the Padres this weekend and tonight San Diego sends Clayton Richard to the hill. Richard's generally a ground ball pitcher, but if you can get under one then it's generally easy to put one out on him as evidenced by his 20.4% HR/FB rate. He was rocked for 10 runs in a mere 3.2 IP here at Coors on July 19th and despite a couple of shut outs thrown in here and there down the stretch, he can be easily rattled and taken full advantage of. I wont bore you with individual statistics on the Rockies bats, as Chris covered several of them in detail in the picks article, just know to build around Nolan Arenado, and get a healthy helping or DJ LeMahieu and Trevor Story, if he's available which all signs suggest he should be. Top stacking options: Nolan Arenado, DJ LeMahieu, Trevor Story, Mark Reynolds, Jonathan Lucroy New York Yankees In his picks article this morning Chris spotlighted the importance of paying close attention to who is playing for what in the waning weeks of the season. The Bronx Bombers have a cushy three game lead with the top AL Wildcard spot, but surely another division pennant would look just lovely among all the others, so don't expect the Yankees to take their foot off the pedal any time soon. Winners of seven of their last ten the Yanks host the Orioles in Yankee Stadium. New York has the highest projected run total outside of Coors Field tonight against Gabriel Ynoa. Ynoa only has four starts under his belt since making his big league debut last year with the Mets. He hasn't had much struggle with the long ball in his limited time up in the bigs, but he also hasn't had a couple...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Early Charlie Morton FD 8700 DK 10600 Opponent - OAK (Mengden) Park - @OAKFD - 32.93 DK - 21.81 In the early set of games, there's really only one way I'm looking to go and the system seems to fully agree with me. Charlie Morton stands head and shoulders above the rest of the pack in both raw projected points and points per dollar. Morton's first year in Houston has sparked something in the journeyman that has seen him spend stints in several cities over the course of his ten year career, but he is hitting career highs in strikeouts with 10.14 K/9, while his ERA (3.87) and xFIP (3.62) though not career best, still point to a quality season for the right hander. Today he takes the mound in Oakland to face an Athletics offense that screams mediocrity with a .320 wOBA and 99 wRC+ while striking out 24.6% of the time which is fourth most in the game. All of this and a salary that allows plenty of flexibility in bat selection. Main Chris Sale FD 11300 DK 12900 Opponent - TB (Andriese) Park - @BOSFD - 45.99 DK - 30.37 On the main slate we have a few different options to consider in the grand scheme of things, but it all begins and ends with the top contender for the AL Cy Young award Chris Sale. The Red Sox host the Rays for a weekend in Fenway. Tampa's offense is going to be fuel for the fire of a K machine like Sale. The Rays strike out 25.1% of the time, second most in baseball, and as we all know Sale has been pretty good at getting teams to swing and miss to the tune of 12.81 K/9. I don't know what more we can tell you about Chris Sale that we haven't already covered in one of these write ups this season, so lets look more at Oakland. The A's have been terrible against left handed pitching this season sporting a .298 wOBA and 85 wRC+ which ranks among the 5 worst in the game. Sale has the best odds on the day at -233 and is the textbook definition of safe on the Main tilt. Zack...

We've got you completely covered. Mike Clevinger FD 8400 DK 7800 Opponent - BAL (Miley) Park - @CLEFD - 31.04 DK - 20.61 In the main picks article, Chris gave you Scherzer, Corbin and Weaver, all excellent options in their own right and I'll have a ton of Mad Max in my cash games tonight, but if you want to look for some cheaper pivots with plenty of upside then you my friend are in the right place. We start out with Mike Clevinger of the Indians hosting the Orioles in Progressive Field. The Indians are riding a 15 game winning streak and Vegas sees no reason for that to end tonight against Wade Miley favoring Clevinger as a -151 favorite in the early returns. Clevinger is one of those pitchers that can be hard to pin down, sometimes he steps on the hill and delivers and other times he just gets hit around. Through his last five outings he has been a little more consistent striking out 9 batters twice and allowing a total of just six earned runs in that stretch. Clevinger has fared better from the right side of the plate this season limiting right handed bats to a .265 wOBA while compiling a 28.5 K% against them. He should cruise through the righty heavy Baltimore line up and has upside for days at his price point. Collin McHugh FD 8000 DK 8500 Opponent - OAK (Cotton) Park - @OAKFD - 31.45 DK - 20.78 If Clevinger feels just a little too risky for you then consider Collin McHugh against the Athletics. Houston is in Oakland this weekend and will send McHugh out for his ninth start of the season. In his injury shortened campaign, McHugh has been fairly consistent making it into the sixth inning in all but three starts while allowing more than 2 earned runs in just two. The 8.5 K/9 rate is consistent with his career numbers and the 7.5% HR/FB rate is a career best. He'll face a challenge traveling into Oakland Coliseum, one of the friendliest parks for hitters in the game and the wind...
